      Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. We know the feeling & want to help you. 😎👍
      We purchased our replacement panel from:
      Partsimple.com
      The best thing to do is remove the back panel from your TV to gain access to the sticker/placard on the inner panel. This sticker/placard will have your exact screen replacement part #. You can then do some searching around for the best price.
      We have also attached a video link below that shows us replacing this exact TV panel/screen.

    Hi there, you mentioned in the video that if there is no visible crack/impact point and only vertical lines on the screen, then the issue could lie with the ribbon wiring or motherboard (if there is no T-Con Board). In my case, I only have vertical lines on my TV so how likely do you think my issue could be with the ribbon wiring or motherboard rather than the TV screen? I'm asking because it may be a waste of money to try replacing the wiring/motherboard when the solution for me may be to purchase a new screen.

      Thanks for watching & that’s a great question. We definitely understand your thoughts & you’re not alone. Unfortunately it’s tough to say however & will take replacing the parts to get a 100% certain answer.

    I have a 86” LG I bought 4 months ago that has no physical damage on the outside but it has a crack coming from the side that it growing by the day. Warranty says I’m at fault and won’t or can’t send a technician. I know nothing touched this television. Is LG responsible to come inspect this at their cost?

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders
      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks for watching, any update? Have you looked into the depths of your warranty info?
      It’s possible that you need to just locate the area of the warranty that states that a damaged screen is covered.
      You can then present that warranty info to them and hopefully get your panel/screen replaced or at least looked at to see what part needs to be replaced.
      Being only 4 months old, that’s extremely odd that they would not at least…literally at an absolute minimum…send a technician out to your home to look at tv. That’s unacceptable in our honest opinion, especially since you are a registered warranty member. They owe you at least an in-person visit.
      Please keep us posted. 👍

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders

      Thanks for watching, it’s possible however unlikely in the beginning. Meaning it may not increase in size for a year or more as long as no additional added stress is applied to monitor.

    i have an impact point no crack and an entire half i active what do i do

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders
      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for watching, if you are certain nothing hit tv screen, it may be as simple as a friendly cleaning to get rid of impact point.
      However, if you have a clear impact point and no visible crack on outer panel, it’s likely that the internal screen display has cracked. Please keep us posted.

      Thanks for watching Grace, if the Technician is actually at fault for breaking your tv panel, it would be nice if they replaced it.
      Can’t know with certainty if they would be kind enough to fix something that they broke. Again, that’s depending on the solid proof that you can provide them so they can do the right thing.
