As an old guy that has never driven a truck I find your episodes very pleasing. I've always marveled at how truck drivers are able to park their rigs and seeing your work-a-day routine, ups and downs, is great. Thank you.
Thank you so much! Comments like yours are encouraging to keep at it, so I truly appreciate it. I'm trying to show what it's really like, at least for me, so what you're seeing is real. Warts and all. Thank you for watching!
I endured similar situations when I was trucking out of Jerome, ID in the early 2000s. You really have things dialed in with your equipment, your securement, and your repairs. Owner operators like you are rare these days. Your videos and commentary really brings it home reagarding the challenges and rewards of life on the road. Thanks for bringing back so many memories for me, Jupiter.
I super glad that you enjoy them, that means a lot to me, thank you! My intent is to simply show what goes on in my trucking world, not sugar coat it or talk down about it, so hearing that you can relate to the experiences is good to know, it kind of validates the effort. Thanks again
It can be different at times, for sure. Not as challenging as being a teacher by any means, but it has it's moments. I hope we can see you guys soon! Thank you for checking it out.
Something’s never change in the trucking world ! When I couldn’t find parking I used to look for a store or business with a loading dock and wait till they close then back in the dock for the night. Always got a wake up call in the morning and I would apologize saying something like I miss read my invoice and then go on my way.😉.
Haha, that plan works pretty often! I expected to wake up to someone pounding on the door, I was relieved that no one cared that I was there for a few hours. You have to do what you have to do! Thanks for watching!
With that chunk of metal, I question if the this is shrapnel from 12:52 "having a bad day" - Remember having a bad day is contagious and as drivers it is our duty to find the problem to limit the spread of bad days. Tualitin to Washougal only to double back to McMinnville is a day in traffic that sucks when they call you back like that.
@@timothyearp631 that's an interesting thought about the shrapnel, I wonder if there's any possibility to it. As far as Washougal, I never went that way. They cancelled as I was pulling out of the job site delivery in Tualatin, so it worked out ok, no traffic.
No, I can't say that it does. Never been much for naming the trucks, just didn't click with me. We call it Big Red most times, all of my trucks are usually called by their color. Creative, eh?
Jobsites are always a pain it the you know what. A lot of times they unload crap ot the way without thinking about how trucks are supposed to get in or out especially when they have limited space. But its like my old boss used to tell me "Well thats trucking". That used to always piss me off because he never drove a truck or had any idea what we had to go thru.
@@glindabeaven6805 having someone who's never driven say that can be real frustrating, that's for sure. The job sites are such a mixed bag, someone's it's incredible to see the lack of planning some people put into getting material inside the building. Thanks for watching!

Thank you! I'm glad that my attempt to entertain a little comes through. Thanks for watching!

Yeah if you do dry van you can use that type of excuse and back into Walmart docks or any other business but if you do flatbed or open deck it’s hard
@@jesseofori9840 for real. It's amazing how hard it's become in the last few years
