Look at all the big names packed into one scene here: Mark Wahlberg, Jennifer Aniston, Dominic West, Timothy Spall, Zakk Wylde, Jason Bonham and Jeff Pilson.
Film is loosely based on Judas Priest, from what I read. Rob Halford was a closeted gay metal singer, Priest found a new singer that sounded like him and came from a Priest cover band, etc..
Best Steel Dragon tune imo. I would bet that Marky Mark actually sang along to the song and they just muted him to put these goosebump vocals over it. That's how you get a truly convincing lip sync I can't spell the real singer's name
Some say this movie is somehow related to Judas Priest about Halford leaving and this guy supposed to be The Ripper! despite the fact that the 1st singer in the movie was also...
Yes, it does. I grew up on this kind of music, but I always hated the lifestyle and ungodly beliefs that typically went with it. My favorite bands today are the ones that created great, edgy music like this but didn't sacrifice their character and convictions to do so.
Actually when Mark and Jennifer wake up in a hotel suite full of passed out and naked people, they have no idea who or what they did. It is implied that the person with the black hair had big eyes for Mark.
No. Soto sang Stand Up and Shout for the movie. Michael Matijevic is the voice here, as he was the voice on Steelheart's original version of the song. The remake for the movie I do wholeheartedly believe is better than the original. much more fluid and well...perfect.
One of my all-time favorite movie scenes. "Do you want the gig then?"
Just brilliant - arrogance replaced with the humble "Well mate, do you want the gig then?" once knowing how good he is.
goosebumps.. unbelievable.. just imagine this
This one of the best lip synching jobs I've seen in a movie. I love the different reactions to Chris's singing of the others in the scene.
love the movie, love this song fuck great. i love how he messes up twice to totally nail it in the third, brilliant movie
Oh yes most definitely totally love the movie.
Michael Matijevic from the 90's band STEELHEART!
He's amazing!
Liten to "angel eyes" from the same band.
Angle eyes is steel heart
Never knew this till now.

One of the GREAT lesser-known Mark W movies.
Love this. Thanks for the clip.

Just before this, Steel Panther's Michael Starr (Ralph Saenz) walked out of that cubicle and glared at Mark Wahlberg.

The movie is ok.. But the MUSIC! just flat out ROCKS!!!! Great song!!!!
Great movie. great songs.. but it really shows the darker side of the rock world..
Yes, it does. I grew up on this kind of music, but I always hated the lifestyle and ungodly beliefs that typically went with it. My favorite bands today are the ones that created great, edgy music like this but didn't sacrifice their character and convictions to do so.
Amen to that.
@Kelz06081984 agree great song!!
@VoxRox1
The voice and the song! Matijevic for the win!!!
Sorry.. I didn´t know that... I thought it was Jeff Scott Soto because Stand up and Shout is him for sure..
Miljenko Matijevic ladies and gentlemen, credit where credit is due! Great lip syncing by Mark though, and hot black haired girl heh
@defleppardlover No way... Stand up and Shout is Jeff Scott Soto for sure... listen do his songs and compare.

They must have really wanted Bobby gone to take him on over 1 good take lol.
Arnel Pineda when auditioning for journey

Actually when Mark and Jennifer wake up in a hotel suite full of passed out and naked people, they have no idea who or what they did. It is implied that the person with the black hair had big eyes for Mark.

Sorry pal, this awesome voice belong's to Michael Matijevic of Steel Heart fame.
Mr Jeff Scott Soto
I wish he would've started rapping Good Vibrations
mohawk1020 he does in the credits at the end of the movie
I have always hated that she takes the drink. She should have been steadfast in her confidence.
Umm..hehe.. actually thats exactly how he started. Marky Mark and the funky bunch. not rock and roll but had some hits in the hip hop scene.
@transformerALEIA If it was Mark he should have become a lead singer instead of an actor.
thats cuz its not dont be a fool
Take 3. Zeros don't count.
Michael Matijevic form steelheart
google!!
@transformerALEIA
Sounds like bad Creed song that attempts to get me to like it by subjecting me to the intro 3 fucking times.
and i pitty that comment.
