- This is the second foam cannon from ArmorAll that I am reviewing. I was very impressed with the first one I tested, so I was very excited to get my hands on this new 2 in 1 foam cannon from ArmorAll. What is the 2 in 1 feature? This foam cannon allows you to use it two different ways. Either attached directly to a garden hose or the more traditional foam cannon way with it attached to a pressure washer. That makes it very convenient but how does this foam cannon perform? ENJOY!!!

It'd be cool to see other cannons hooked up to that attachment with the garden hose just to see what foam you can get with a garden hose with other cannons than just armor all. I'd enjoy watching even if it's a fail lol too cool they put a actual quick disconnect on the spray handle..

Very good video as always! Maybe you should have used the Armor All foam cannon as a comparison (for people who are interested in the actual foam cannon) and then the MJJC to show the difference between a good quality and cheap foam cannon.

Good video ! I do have the MJJC which is the best on the market right now for quality foam - no competition for the price !!! I also do have an $15 Amazon foam cannon with 1.1mm orifice which is absolutely insane value and destroys this Armor all.
Josh, first off let me say I am a huge fan, I love your channel, and subscribed to it. With that being said, you missed the boat on this one. I thought the stage you set was brilliant. You mentioned the first Armor All Foam Cannon you purchased and how much you like it. (Which led me to purchase one too😊). During the presentation you said both bottles of the new and old were the same. So I thought you would’ve attached the old foam cannon head to the new bottle and shown how it foamed compared to the new 2-1.
With the flip switch, the garden hose selection would attempt to make up for the pressure loss. Wonder what the pressure washer would do on that setting. Especially since you can't access the orifice. Happen to try that off camera?

You should've tried the foam gun that comes with the new AA kit with your favorite foam cannon to see if that makes any difference. That would've been interesting

I just bought a craftsman pressure washer. That has a built in soap tank? Do I use the little tank on the cannon for soap or the pressure washer soap tank?
It's like the difference between night and day between using garden hose and pressure washer mode.
The garden hose mode made it look like pterodactyl took a huge crap on a Porsche.
Need to do garden hose shootout. See which one is best garden hose for the do it yourselfer's. Just days I dont want to drag everything out.
I should’ve searched for this prior to purchasing…can confirm….the “foam cannon” is more of a foam blaster… so watery with a pressure washer…will be returning and buying the MJJC foam cannon

to open it, you could try using another wrench with a little bit more of leverage... then put that top part of the foam cannon against a table and hold it down with one hand, maybe with a towel or something so it doesn't hurt your hand, then with the other hand you put it into the unscrew position and lean into it with body weight.... that's how i opened the one i had, very tight as well.
What specs are the pressure washer that you use?
Works alright with a garden hose, not good with a pressure washer.
I have it and I only changed the hole to 1.1mm. And use with a ryobi 2,000 preassure washer works asome. And I bought the big mouth from chemical guys and for me the armorall has a better job
@@ManuelLopez-qf3cn I don’t think you can easily change this to a 1.1 m, this switches between pressure washer mode and hose mode. There isn’t a regular orifice. You probably have the other armor all foam cannon.

Josh, I got the AstroAl “Foam Cannon” which looks like a knockoff of one of the other Name Brand Foam Cannons. It does rotate the spray pattern from vertical to horizontal like the more expensive Foam Cannons which is what attracted me to it and I immediately replaced the orifice to a 1.1 mm aperture and So far it has worked pretty well for me but I don’t have the extensive experience with various types of Foam cannon (or is it Foam Cannoi?😉😂) but I can say when I bought it Amazon had an additional discount applied at the time of purchase and it was a deal that looked too good to pass up at that time.
had the Armor all 2 in 1 foam cannon and was not impressed. i recently purchased the $35 Astro Ai amazon MJJC knock off, will use tomorrow and see how it performs.
You might be able to back that nut off if you put the head in a vise and then use a long handle box wrench to torque it off.
I tried the armor all foam blaster today, I am not impressed. I will be taking it back to the store tomorrow.
This a a great review of the product and showing that it’s a blaster not an actual foamer. A company just trying to use key words to sell a product.
For those who have the MJC for cannon...will it produce that thick foam regardless of car soap used? For example, Meguiars Gold Class car shampoo.
For the most part yes. There have been a few super cheap soaps like one from drive at Walmart doesn’t foam well with anything. But other than that, the mjjc gets more foam from a soap compared to others. Gold class, mr pink, etc will all foam well! Adams mega foam is a super foamy soap and will create a ridiculous amount of foam when paired with the mjjc
I have tried 4 different soaps now in my mjjc canon using common tap water to run it, all using 2 ounces per, maquires is good, Jay Lenos is really good, Mr. pink and Adams mega foam are excellent.
Why didnt you compare to the OG Chapin/Gilmour Foaming Hose-end Sprayer?
Seems like everyone has a copied version of it with their logo slapped on the side.
I live in Toronto, Canada and Canadian Tire has many products of Armour All and Simoniz. From my experience, they're usually garbages. That 2-in-1 foam gun is around $70 CAD. If you'd like to wash your car properly, get a pressure washer and a foam cannon, not that one. Consider the expenditure for them as an investment for your car to keep it nice and clean in case of selling it later in the future.
Yea this one is not great. Their other unit was definitely better, but I still prefer the mjjc!
70!!!?! Thats around the same price i paid for the real FC (amazon knockoffs but a good one) I bought one of the amazon ones and it was failed out of the box. Supplier brought me the "real" one you could say and i used it all the time for about a year. that foam cannon was amazing for being a regular car one and not these ones. I also used the MTM and found it to be just as good but the other one had more Angle!

Wouldn't you want a more runny foam? It'll help naturally drag down light dust and dirt to the ground. A thick shaving cream foam just sits there

It's not the foam that cleans. What the foam does, is it helps the soap to stick to the surface for a longer period of time, rather than it sliding right off (which results in a smaller dwell time that the soap is sitting on the surface). The longer that the soap is able to be on the surface, the more time it has to break up the surface tension of the dirt, etc...

@@khione8044 Your explanation is clear and well spoken. That's one theory but I could present a few alternatives that would refute it. The bottom line is testing and I haven't seen any tests; anywhere.

@@khione8044 If foam is largely air it could limit the amount of soap in direct contact with the surface. I'd refer you back to my original question: "Any proof that more foam produces a better wash"
@@d.t.1470 Your thinking about it all wrong. There is a reason that many bathroom cleaners promote foaming products (such as in a spray bottle, etc...). The foam helps cling to the surface, so that the soap can sit on the surface longer, and do its job. It doesn't interfere with the soap in any way.
Everything was fine and dandy until MJJC came with their Pro foam cannon and now mostly everything looks overpriced or cheaply made.
After use for 8 months I cant recommend it!
I was loving it until the bottle started falling off. Plastic to plastic. And trying to screw it tightly it jump and have to re tight.
Bottle has fallen off to many time now and I lose the product inside.
Just my feedback and my experience.

I don't recommend foam blasters at all... For 100 bucks you could get a little pressure washer and it just works. I'd say you would save money getting a real foam cannon vs a blaster because the soap actually stays on the car and not the ground.
