People tend to focus on the orifice size they miss out on the stainless steel packing inside the foam canon, it plays a vital role on making good foam (clean and wash it often if u can), the one from MTM PF22 is well made... u can buy stainless steel packing separate, also ty using distilled or Di water to mix inside your foam gun.

Dude the point is you can get better foam for 30 dollars less money, you bought a Chemical Guys logo. They take advantage of the beginner and DIY guy. Not cool
@@mattolivo I didn't buy a logo. I was in a pinch and bought what was available. Like I said. I didn't have my typical stuff. But yeah. I don't typically run chemical guy products. Just had to make do with what I had available.

Great review. I have the same issue with my MTM foam cannon "leaking" at the mouth. I opened it up and checked the mesh screen as well, didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

Works like a dream
As an owner of the big mouth cannon, I would also not recommend the big mouth cannon. It's built well, but for it's price to performance, it falls short and performs similar to the $30 cannons. One big pro, is that the huge top that makes adding chemicals incredibly easy, but it does not outweigh the cons.

this seems to perform just like my normal CG cannon with a 1.1 swapped in it, i always wondered why mine didnt give the shaving cream wondering if its just their design
That stuff sure does leave a film behind hey, I can see it on multiple passes it is still soapy. Great video as always! That foaming at the mouth is new, haven't seen that on any of the foam cannons before, huge design flaw it seems causing that.

Good video. One thing I would suggest is not shaking the mixture together cause it creates foam inside the bottle which will create less foam on the vehicle. Whenever I put in my soap I give it a stir so everything is mixed together but there's no foam inside the bottle

After watching your review, I couldn't imagine anyone paying $90 for this CG`s POS. Leaking bottle, foam dripping from tip, and dripping foam. I use a Mckellen and a Ryobi 1900 pressure washer with Adams soap and get incredible foam.

How do you think a 1.1mm orifice will perform on a 3000psi (rated) 2.4gpm (rated) gas pressure washer?
Probably cause the machine to cycle. 1.1 is even too small for the higher end electrics

The one thing that I’ve been wondering is that at minute 7:34 you mention you turned the non all the way down. The knob shows a more watery graphic on one end and the foamy on the other. Which end did you turn it too for the test. When you say “all the way down” I assumed it was the watery end so no wonder it didn’t work as well, if that was the way they didn’t intend for you to use it, can you verify?

I got mine at their detail garage
I bought the honey dew snow foam from chemical guys, and, I used my pressure washer with a regular chemical injector. No foam. I just learned I need a foam cannon, and I want to buy one, but I want to buy one that I don’t have to mess with, and comes out of the box spraying super thick foam.
I have a very good pressure washer. 4.0 gpm up to 4,200psi. I can adjust the pressure on the Viper pump (Italian version) as well.
Do you have to mess with them all like this? If you lost your equipment, and had to buy everything new again, what would you buy to lay the thickest foam possible?
I just bought the greenworks pro 2700 pressure washer and the chemical guys big mouth foam cannon. The foam was extremely watery. Do you think because of the psi of the pressure washer I need to go to a 1.25 orifice? Having trouble finding info online. I assume if more water gets through a bigger hole than it will be even more watery but maybe that’s not true because of the higher psi rating. Everyone says use the 1.1 orifice on the forums but they are all using lower psi pressure washers. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I thought that it said a minimum of 1.4 gpm. Isn’t the pressure you are using, say 1.2 gpm? I appreciate your videos. You have to love that great weather in San Diego, all year around.
The GPM is adjustable depending on the orifice size you’re using. The advertised specifications of almost all pressure washers is extreme false advertising even with the nozzles they come with. He has uses the same machine with great results from that 1.1mm size orifice on several other foam canons and is the standard for electric pressure washers.
Is part of the issue that the minimum gpm 1.4 and your pressure washer is 1.2? I have the same Ryobi washer and getting the same issues. Though I just ordered the smaller insert and I don’t think I’m using enough product
just that design flaw at the mouth that's dropping foam like crazy is a huge deal breaker. A product should not be doing that whatsoever at the price that it is at. A $20 amazon one can do a lot better. thanks for the review!

I just bought a Sun Joe SPX 3000/2030 psi also Amazon basic foam cannon. I think the power washer is to powerful for my foam cannon. Would you be able to recommend a foam cannon for my machine?
CG products are marketed and packaged well, too bad that's about as far as they go. They really need to focus on the quality inside more than outside. I've wasted a ton of money buying their stuff, hell, just threw out about $1000 worth of products last week. Always good to see actual reviews with results like you crank out!
Yes I agree bottles and gallons leaking. Even the spray bottles the rags have peices of fabric coming off right out of the packaging
Big boi pro foam gun is like the new bench standard for foam. Even better than MTM. Foam comes out so light that stays attached to the paint for ages

I had a HD5/11P Karcher pressure washer. Lately, my son visited me and he gave me this "Chemical Guys" foam cannon. The problem is that I am not able to hook-up both together. Can you advice me on quick release adaptors and the pressure hose (doesn't kink).
Man, I am bummed to see this. I like the bottle and the whole package but it is sad to see it performing like that for the cost. I will keep using my cheap Amazon cannon!

Trinova to me even with the 1.1 orf change foams well…but to me it wastes so much product . I only get one and half vehicles with it .

Hey Josh. Wondering how a person can get more GPM on a pressure washer. I have the same pressure washer in this video with the flexzilla hose and Uberflex hose. I did change my sunjoe foam cannon orfice to a 1.1 mm. I also use the McKillians spray gun.

Chemical Guys are taking advantage of the beginner, there stuff being in Wal Mart makes it convenient and they know that, so they over price almost every product they have. It's disappointing that they do this. You can get a better Foam Cannon for 30 to 40 dollars less. Im so glad I found your channel man, and I'm glad you are honest. I'm very surprised they haven't contacted you and offered you money to do a fake review of there products. Which they do to a lot of smaller youtubers. Some ppl will do anything for money. Chemical guys spend more money on Advertisement and packaging then they do on the quality of there products.

I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.
1.1 mm orifice is equivalent to a #3 size nozzle.
I would call that unit a failure compared to comparable units or even much cheaper units.

the big mouth is at a very high price for the work it does. i had an armorall foam cannon and it does the same or better job than the chemical guys
you have to stir not shake it, because your causing it to foam up in the bigmouth and not foam up as well when you shoot it. I have foam cannon. you have to stir it not shake it
