Love these just ordered a pair. Only wish you had 1, showed installing the LED headlights, and 2 mentioned that they change the bulb type from H11 to H7. Had to reorder the led lights but other than that you showed how insanely easy it is to do yourself.

Thinking about doing this for my 2010 Kia Forte Ex. Do the light controls, such as the parking and headlight nob work the same? How do those controls factor in the led strips? Also high beams, does pushing the lever forward activate the high beam?
It all works with the stick. It's a little better actually. The low beam stay on when you turn the high beam on, so you get a bit more light. The CCFL light turns on with you turn the parking light on.
I'm going to be getting a set of those headlights like those for my 2012 Kia Forte but I'm just curious do they work really good and are they were really worth the money to buy them and did anybody have any problems with their headlights like those I would really appreciate if someone could answer thank you
Glad you posted this video. I was looking into getting these exact same lights and wondered about the quality of them. Have you had any issue with them yet, as far as general problems or the lens housings dont stay adjusted after a little time?
Everything is okay still. It comes with all the bulbs you need. But be prepared to upgrade them as they arent so bright. At the very least, be prepared to adjust them to point up. Out of the box they point down really close in front of the vehicle.
The assembly comes with bulbs, but they are the dim yellow kind. So you may be able to upgrade them to LED if you want. All the bulbs you see installed came with the assembly.

@@Capo8758 thanks for your response. And yeah theyre super expensive. I feel like I drive a mercedes Benz, not a kia. I paid $459 USD plus the $189 of shipping. You can imagine how much I paid. But I think its worth it. They really revamp the style of the forte.

It is similar to how Neon lights work. Cannot be replaced unless you know how to fix it and re-fill it with the appropriate gas and such. I'm not sure on the details.
You can. The problem I faced in this new light and the original light was that the housing is not very big. Most LED lights have a large heatsinks assembly at the rear, which takes up a lot of space. The ones I found on Amazon would probably have not fit inside. You could leave the dust cap open so the space at the back is extra, but then not only do you get dust in there, but you also get water. Not recommended to leave dust cap open. If you find a small light, or a light that uses those flexible metal ribbon type heatsinks, it might fit. I haven't tried it with those. The reason why they need the heatsink is cuz they produce extra heat. I'm afraid it might overheat and maybe melt the plastic? Maybe I'm overthinking it. Try it and let us know.
Well not much success with led bulbs so I went with Philips racing vision 150 they look very bright and do a good job on there but I noticed when u shut the headlights on u have drl I dont have that option in mine I got the same housing you have not sure why it wont work tho
Just bought and installed it on my car..the only bad thing is drl doesnt light up automatic...need to switch on the small light...meaning rear light will light up too
@@FT099 You have a Canadian Kia Forte, DRL is required in Canada, @DCPLN probably has a U.S. Kia Forte, which did not get DRL's. Newer generations did get a DRL, but that was recent.
I got it on eBay years ago. Search 2011 Kia Forte Headlight on there. There are gonna be several of the same type of light in the results. Huge price variance lol They're likely all the same but check the description to be sure. Mine is still working after all these years.
@@FT099 because i did that... and i found a lot... i also found some G3 called and they had a vs photo with your model i was lost... so i am not sure which one to peak from all of them that actually works out of the box like yours. maybe a Brand name or product code you had back If you can find them would be very helpful. Glad to hear you are still happy with them. i have Xeon lamps but i want new headlights. i hope they will fit and that the clips for the lamps are exactly the same with the stock. thanks for your reply.

Yup, plug and play. As the other person mentioned, it has H7 bulb, so if you are upgrading the new one to LED, order H7 LED.

Not 100% sure about the hatch. Check if the oem part number for the light assembly is the same across the variants. If it is, you're good.

I used a pair of pliers to gently get the bulb to turn. It is righty tighty lefty loosy.
