I like the idea of making this a series cause it’s really interesting. Since you’re mostly learning from people who main weaker weapons, maybe call it Low-Tier Heroes or something like that

Bekah makes a good point about tier lists being one dimensional. Each weapon has a better or worse match up against particular weapons. Each weapon has a certain level of prevalence in a meta. Weapons also have different levels of dependency on team comp. Some weapons are really independent, while others need a lot of support. Tier lists don't take any of this into account.
If you wanted a pseudo-formula they are almost like the sum( probability of a competing weapon occurring * the match up success) and then you just rank then you just sort the list.
Clash main here from 2 and 3. Loved the video. The weapon has flaws but understanding those flaws and being able to work around them (in various situations or matchups) is key to being good with Clash. Positioning, movement, evasiveness, are all pretty critical. I need to be able to juke out my opponents or be more creative/sneaky against them and then the weapon can really shine. We saw here in the video that Gem had a match or 2 where they were #1 splatterer. It has some pretty good potential if you know the strategy and are a good all-around splatoon player.
I hope in time it will get some appreciation but it probably requires a bit more nuance than most people are willing to give it. But I had fun watching the video and give the Neo a shot sometime. The movement issues can be rectified a bit with curling bomb; which opens up how you can approach a match (as you arent totally reliant on your team for ink) and while chumps isnt the greatest, its an instant ink-refill and distraction that you can use to your advantage. The inkzooka left you open a few times (and typically results in death), its best used far away when u cant reach someone otherwise you are asking to die. Tenta Missiles in 2 was the best option cause it was fast, a quick ink-refill, and let you see the enemies on the map to know where to focus your attack.
Its good at distractions and facing several enemies bunched together as well due to its AOE, so you can get in the middle of a group and take a gamble that you take out 1 or 2 (maybe even more of them)
Maybe its just how I play the game but those type of things is how I have been able to be pretty successful with the weapon. Its a weapon that can be in the mixbowl with frontline shooters; but as a blaster, and keeping those blaster advantages. So backlines too close to ledges have to watch out as well

as a brella main in S2 clash blaster became one of my most hated weapons since it can pretty much ignore the shield, but the thing i hated most about it was that when I tried using it, it became instantly clear that it was like only good against the brella but like versus most other weapons it isn’t that good
Not sure how feasible it is but it would be nice to have the "experts" you are talking to be the ones playing the game. that way they can play and talk about their thought process during the game and you can add the color commentary if you will. I enjoy your content thanks for what you do!
If you want to see them playing the weapon, you're free to go find their channels and look them up from there! Bkeha streams all the time. I find it helpful to show a learner's gameplay because it helps the expert figure out where the gaps are in people's understanding of the weapon. That's how I did all my analysis for the How to Get Out of __ Rank series.

I liked Bkeha's tiering philosophy at the end. It's less that there are "good weapons" as there are weapons that are a good fit for good players and have good matchups against other good players using good-fitting weapons. It strikes me as a healthy, inspiring, and motivational mindset. Maybe one of these days I'll push Undercover, since it's been a good fit on me in at least Splat Zones. Until then, however, I'd definitely like an episode on Splatoon 3's most maligned weapon. It is way more than "just a worse .52 Gal"!
This was great! I'm late to the party but I actually really like looking at underused/less popular weapons. I think it's good to see that like, even if these are worse at the role they perform compared to generally better weapons, that's not the same as them being useless, cause I forget that sometimes. Funi crayons make own off angle hehe

As a former clash blaster main this was nice.
id love to see one of these on the sploosh as it was basically my first main after a little bit of splat roller and i still love it and i think curling bomb can do more than people give it credit for. probably a bit early for anyone to have gone particularly deep on big swig but maybe one day... maybe goo tuber, for whatever reason goo tuber just feels terrible to me maybe its the slow charge time idk, as someone who's enjoyed nautilus and bamboozler and played around with a more aggressive splat charger i really want to get better with it but idk it just hasn't worked for me, i feel like theres potential there with charge hold and still being a 1 hit kill unlike bamboo.

Clash Neo was my go-to in Splatoon 2 Turf War, it was just fun to use curling for the initial quick pushes into mid on maps that supported it. It still is in 3 too, but I haven’t really stuck to any weapons since I’m always using whatever’s newly added. That and losing Missiles just makes it so unappealing, which sucks because I actually like the Super Chump lol

I noticed that Gem superjumped without going to the map screen. How is that done?
if you just spam x, down on the d pad, and a, you can jump back to spawn so quickly that the map only shows up for a second
Wrong order actually! If you hold down on the D-Pad, you buffer that input as soon as you press the X button, so you want to booyah and keep holding down on the d-pad afterward, then roll your thumb from X to A.

That's the main point of Clash, to annoy the opponent, to aggro them making them ignore the other players in my team to do the objectives
