Rapid deco is definitely the best blaster. Those torpedo combos are unrivaled!
I messed around with it for a bit for fun, and you can tell how annoying that combo is to the other team haha

@@baldrickthesphereofamusement if you outrange it (like most weapons) or kill faster at point blank (like splat/carbon rollers), you invalidate it. The clash’s kit is the only real thing you need to worry about.

Theory:
Inklings and Octolings can't submerge until the projectile explodes because they're literally watching for when to detonate it manually.
This makes me want the ability to hold down fire, then release to pop the shot. Tap-fires would still go full range, but it would be so versatile

great video. one thing i’d like to add about the vrapid and drapid is that adding chip damage from off-angles is really essential. you might even get a funny kill from it at times. you showed some of this off in the video when you re-positioned on the drapid game, but i wanted to clarify it for people starting out with this weapon.
Gem intentionally threw with the clash blaster to make it look bad!

@@leftovernoise here in C rank we can normally see a try hard shooter that for some reason has the X rank badge, the clash that gets 20 kills (but loses since he is putz12) and the undercover brella that is making a montage on his kills to prove to prochara that undercover is good.

I'll add a disclaimer to my comment so nobody else.thinks I'm being serious
my main problem with clash blaster isn't that is a no skill weapon (though it is) my problem is that the explosions always distract me and make me panic and I only have this problem with clash and not others like luna since clash has a higher fire rate.
Been considering getting into the Blaster class so both of these Weapon Selects are very helpful to make a decision along with the great tips and gameplay.
Interesting that rapid and machine are so similar in terms of things like direct damage, indirect damage, and range, but machine is just so more versatile than rapid.
I think the range isn’t the same in the way blasters vs buckets work blasters are more at max range while machine does good damage along its full range
IMO it's more because of the kit than because of the main.
machine definitely is superior on zones because of its paint from fizzy, but rapid has a leg up on tower control just because it's a blaster. For clams and rain, I think it goes either way depending on user but the rapid does decent rainmaker shield damage since the buff in 2 so it is nice there especially with torpedo to throw over the bubble while popping

If you with a rapid blaster are against a short range shooter/dualie might as well use the mine when you can. If you are likely to die and you put one down, you'll likely get them marked at least. Also short range shooters really need to learn not to always chase the inkjet

Can you make a video about what to do when you can’t do anything? In my last rank up match I played my main (Octobrush) with no Anker in the team and my enemies were a hydra, an E-Liter, a jet squelcher and a Neo Splash. When I existed, I got sniped by the e-liter. When I flanked the e-liter I got shot by the jet squelcher. When I flanked the jet squelcher I got shot by the hydra. I ended the match with a k/d of 0-4.
Has gem already tiered all the weapons again in fresh season since I was looking forward to seeing the full weapon tier list being updated again in the new season?
he's probably gonna do it after the midseason balance patch bcs they confirmed it's coming early this season and that they didnt do as many balance changes as usual and are backloading most of the fresh season changes on the midseason
question, is there any situation where I'd want to use a clash blaster instead of the luna blaster? the giant clash radius seems like a pretty big downgrade from the luna's damage
At a competitive level, neither are seen much at all, but the luna has a better track record. The vclash has a decent kit, which might be something you'd look at if those are your only two options
Would increasing the damage of the clash blaster from 60 to 70 (and from 30 to 35 for indirects) be a good idea balance wise? It would decrease kill time for any kind of combo for example from 4 indirect shots to 3 or 1 direct + 2 indirect to 1 direct + 1 indirect. It might be to overpowered in lower ranks, so maybe deal the 35 damage if the shot missed just slightly. This way are more skilled player can actually use the better kill time without having player dominate with bad aiming.
The thing about clash blaster is that it is incredibly hard to buff without pissing off a huge majority of the fanbase. It's really just the sad reality of the weapon. I think their best bet for buffing it without making people angry is buffing its paint and mobility, since that mostly affects higher levels of play, and won't really affect lower levels as much.
Increase fire rate , decrease indirect damage to 20-24. 2 Directs kill faster, but 5 indirects would be the same speed as before.

I still to this day do not understand how the clash(just the main weapon) can be considered good.
It is a weapon with very short range and takes from 2 directs to 4 I directs; the Luna blaster has similar range but gets a kill with 2 indirects; it doesn’t paint as much to save itself from dangerous situations. It is just a weapon that punishes players that have no good reaction time to being approached.
In general I see clash as an identity crisis, doesn’t do much damage nor it paints well.

It's only considered good in c and b rank because nobody knows how to aim or how to dodge. For players with no experience it's "strong" because you literally don't have to aim at all. You hold zr and walk forward. That's the extent of what is needed to succeed in those ranks with clash. People see first the first time their splats per game number shoots up so they stay with the weapon.
But as soon as people figure out how to aim, pretty much anything in the game can kill a clash before their clash can kill anything.

To be honest you're right. It doesn't kill the fastest nor is it the most competitively viable weapon by a long shot. So why do I use it Over my previous main like the try slosher or tentatech splattershot? Because somewhere along the line I forgot that having fun was a part of playing the game and The Clash reminded me of that. despite its viability Clash is just really fun for me to use I'm not trying to win tournaments or be number one in X battle. I just want to see how far I can push the weapons that I enjoy. I know that will inevitably lead to a wall at some point but that doesn't really matter to me as long as I'm enjoying myself because I'm not getting paid to do this I'm doing this in my spare time of my own free will and if I'm not enjoying myself while doing it then what's the point? at the end of the day this is still just a video game and my top priority is having fun. For some people that's winning tournaments and whatnot. But for me it's just pushing the Clash as high as I can in X and messing around with friends. To each his own.

@@leftovernoise I think in a lot of competitive scenes the fun aspect is something that gets forgotten about quite often. This is evident by people not understanding why someone would use a low tier. It's almost like they're forgetting that some people pick low tiers just because they Vibe with them and just want to see how far they can go with them. If they reach the top cool but the top is not necessarily the top priority of everyone. Sometimes the fun is just in pushing THAT WEAPON as far as you can. Even if it's not that far.
@@megametexe5129 agreed. Although for some people, playing to the extreme part of your ability and trying to win tournaments is how they have fun, which is fair. And they will use what they have to use to get there. But there are a lot of people that won't play the weapon that's the most fun for them, for fear of not doing as well, and that's unfortunate

I think the clash is the same as a flamethrower in other games: looks OP if you don't know how to deal with it but it's actually pretty meh
All the clash blaster main I know do NOT kill in 2 hits (normally)
Ink Jet IS one of the coolest specials in game... too bad they nerfed the hell out of it for no good reason

Tbh if u play clash like this u should have run lde and honestly clash is only good on maps with a lot of corners to abuse ur pre firing so enemies die when they want to peek you. Furthermore u should have used ur splat bombs more actively. Playing passive on that weapon is a sin bc even tho u might die a lot but drawing attention towards u and off ur team is still better than doing nothing. But honestly tho this weapon just gets outplayed so hard if enemies know how to play the game so yeah i get ur point and cant really blame you for what happened that game. U tried but u cant abuse the noob slayer if ur opponent knows his stuff and if u cant abuse fog of war when getting walled.

clash blaster isnt as bad as you say it is. Its not great but at certian angles on ledges and corners its impossible to challange a clash blaster. Clash is also really good at flushing people out. Still you cant shark with it so clash isnt great.
Its also weird how you compare it to shooters isntead of other blasters. its not a shooter and will suck if you play as one. Its better to think of it as like napalm that works alongside shooters to flush people out
The issue really boils down to the other blasters, sloshing machine and explosher doing it better, and then on top of that you can corner with bombs. It's just the worst in its weird niche unfortunately
It's because clash blaster is a blaster technically, but it doesn't function like any of the other blasters. It's sort of like the bamboozler or mini splatling which are extremely different from other weapons in the same class, so comparing them to eachother doesn't work. Clash is just a blaster that functions like a shooter
Also "flushing people out" with clash is something a lot of other weapons can do much better, and shooting around ledges ant corners like you said can also be done better by other weapons.
Bro it's just not that good, you can still use it and have fun with it but a spade is a spade, you know?
