#35 Kubota B2650 Blower and Blade vs Heavy Wet Snow

  • This was a tough one. Blizzard like conditions led to sleet to rain on top of the 10 inches dumped on us. The result was sopping wet heavy snow. It was a challenge for the Kubota but as always, it got the job done.

    That is miserable wet snow. You certainly got the right tool for the job though. I also use the cruise control on mine and love it. Thanks for sharing!

    Tractor did pretty good in that wet snow

      That was back breaking stuff. It worked hard but got the job done. Thanks for watching!

    Tractor did well handling that snow! I imagine if you had rear remotes a hydraulic top link and cylinder on your blade would make it even more versatile and faster yet...
    Here in Ontario we got dumped on too but thankfully no rain! still cold..

      I wish I had done the rear remote as well but I guess if I keep filming this stuff I have to get out of the cab anyhow. It's on my wish list though.

    Man I think you're lucky man to have that tractor you guys got a snowblower down and I got a lawn tractor down but I shouldn't say one tractor too long tractors down I got to put the hydrostatic drive back in it and I said we got 6 in of snow so I had to go and I had to get my little long tractor and I don't even think my little long tractor is going to push that snow so thank you lucky stars you got stuff like that

      Hi Roderick! Yes, I do feel very lucky to have the equipment I have. I used to break my back with a large walk behind. I needed the large walk behind because of the huge storms we would get up here. That thing used to fight me though on slopes and I feel I was doing so much work. The Kubota changed all that. I hope your situation get's better. I can't imagine having my tractor down and not be able to use it at crucial times. Good luck to you and thanks for watching and sharing your story with me.

    Jealous you received the snow. Here on the seacoast we recieved none. Great video! Thank you!!

      Nasty sloppy mess. Seacoast looked rough with that surf flooding.

    I have this same rig in Idaho at 5000 feet and sometimes we get heavy wet snow. I have found that my machine works best if I don't take full bites with the blower. Engine does not bog down and it is actually faster.

    • @BeginnerforBSeries
      @BeginnerforBSeries  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank Matt! I tend to do the same thing if I'm seeing the box starting to push snow out the sides. But, I see what you are saying, regardless take a little less and go a little faster.

    With climate change of late most storms in Atlantic Canada follow a consistent pattern of heavy snow changing to rain that puts a strain on both the machine and operator.

    Nice… you did the “Ross Tripod move” 😉😂😂. You got it worst than we did, you got the rain we didn’t, it got colder after, it’s currently -25° C -13°F with the wind chill 🥶, going out soon to clear my driveway 🥶. Have a great one Dave, btw you must be a golfer with that Bridgestone cap 🤔😉😂👍🏻

      Hi Luc, We got the rain and then it all froze last night. Miserable combination! Yes I play golf and actually for 25 years was a club professional and managed 2 courses during that span.

    Hunter has seen many winters. I hope when he goes, it's in his sleep. Because putting them down is extremely difficult and heartbreaking. Excellent machine. ...

    That is some cold 🥶 blowing snow. I hate the wet heavy snow, most of our snow is normally like powdered sugar makes it easy to move 👍

      Seems lately we always get some sort of sleet and rain mixed in. Then everything freeze up solid and turns to ice. Oh well could be worse.

    Do you have any problems with the inside of your cab fogging up?

    • @BeginnerforBSeries
      @BeginnerforBSeries  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not at all. I turn the A/C on and run it that way. I think if the ac is off you can get fogging.
