    Thanks so much for video. I’m a nurse and father of a 3 yr old and this video was big help in getting an idea on how to remove the head off my 250 engine.
    All you haters, experts WTH are you doing here? Go record, edit, and upload your own videos before spreading hate 😅

    This is really cool, beauty in simplicity, gotta imagine how long to rebuild will last too. Badass

    Metric sockets on old American SAE fasteners=hack...just a lazy thing to do.

    I just bought one of these motors. It’s out of a 1962 nova and I’m putting it into a 1966 ford galaxy

    Watched half, then turned off in disgust. Chev 6 is an imeprial bolt engine so using metric tools damages bolts. You remove rockers and pushrods and place them in order so they if reused go back in the same place.
    You undo headbolts in reverse order of assembly.
    You remove the pan before removing timing cover, and do not use big levers!!
    So I would hate to see the mayhem on the second half!

      For real. This guy is clowning I guess. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to try and do something correctly.

    Good work bro ! I asked a question on the Jetta looking forward to your response. Looks like you work at a machine shop . Looking forward to learn more from you. Can you do more videos about rebuilding engines and how to tear them down properly for machine shop inspection and how to buy rings and bearings and measure them as well bro ? Good work bro ! You removed the head bolts with an impact tool... Did you already loosen them with a breaker bar? I'm in the process of a head gasket job and.... good lord, those guys don't wanna go ANYWHERE

    • @JM8686
      @JM8686  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mines were out with impact but lots of torque from the impact! You need a brakerbar nd it might even need a tube or something

      @@JM8686 at least you know you’re wrong, but yeah. Take it easier on these old things. Show them a little bit of respect unless you just can’t get ahold of customary tool sizes.

    Most chevy 2s had tje 194 CI. the 230 is a stroked 194. Sooo the block on the 194 and 230 are identical with tje same bore. The crankshaft and pistons are different. The rods are the same. Easily to convert a 194 to 230 CI
