Good question. I would ask if the functionality that you need from your tablet requires additional processing power, or if a laptop would be more useful for "that" type of work. (I think we'll get more powerful macbooks later this year).

really i need a tablet to take notes with. i bought a surface pro for that in 2017 but it just sucks. the surface pen is really bad. i don't know how much better or worse the palm rejection and jitter is on ipads.
I didn’t wait for long term review for buying mine, because by the time i waited, another device would come and more confuse me. I saw it and i knew this is the iPad for me. And 6 months later, I’m still super happy with it. TouchID is fine for me, I haven’t had any issues with it. I have iPhone 11 with FaceID and I love it too. I also have sky blue one, it’s 64gb and it’s still enough for my usage.
The Air 4 would be great if they offered a 128 GB version. Apple purposely doesn't, knowing that most people want more than 64 GB, but don't need 256 GB. So people compare the price of the 256 GB Air 4 with the new 128 GB M1 Pro, and justify paying a little extra for the Pro. Essentially you go in thinking of buying a mid price tablet, but end up getting a tablet that's overkill for your needs for hundreds more than you initially wanted to spend. For me personally, this is the reason I'm now looking into some Android tablets.
I have used my iPad Air 4 daily as my “computer” since I got it at the end of January and I love it. I just got the magic keyboard 2 weeks ago so I had been using it on it’s own for the first bit.
Having just bought mine, I've been on a binge of iPad Air 4 reviews. This thing is a fantastic little device. I got the cellular version because I plan to use it for work and would much rather not use the spotty (and unsecured) wi-fi at my job. So far, paired with the Gen 2 Apple Pencil, I've found the perfect productivity tablet.
I’ve had my Air 4 256 for about 5 months, also in Blue. I couldn’t be more pleased with it in pretty much every way. On a 1-10 I give it a 9. It’s been used with the Folio Touch since day 2 and I’ll give the case a solid 7.
I've had mine for just over three months. It is my main driver. I use it for work (manager in a tech company), and for play, and for media. I got the magic keyboard and pencil and it truly is a laptop replacement for me. I was a little bummed when the M1 iPads came out thinking maybe I should have waited but then I realized the M1 is the A14 just with some add ons that I will probably never need. The A14 is faster and more powerful than the 10th gen I5 in my laptop (than I almost never use anymore). I LOVE MY AIR!!!!!! Simply, it is the best computing device I have ever owned.
I appreciate this Michael. I like the modem look but don’t need the M1 power. After thinking I needed the M1, realistically I only need the power of the A14. I wish someone would do a review who is not a video editor!

I really wish that there was a 12.9 air. I need a larger screen for reading music, but I don’t need it to be super top pro specs, just the bigger screen.
Been about 4 months with my iPad Air 4. Reviews like yours early on helped me decide. I’ve not regretted it a single day. Other than my iPhone 12 this is my single most used tech device. I’m not completely sans desktop or laptop computer but I’m almost weened off of a bigger computer now. The iPad has really changed my usage needs especially when the magic keyboard is attached.

@@nxthey5503 they still work perfectly fine. I’ve not had the need to upgrade to anything more as these work great. And considering the prices you can get them for right now they are absolute bargains. I say jump in now. Probably some good sales coming up for the holidays.
Well this was the best timing, I am considering to get iPad air 4 becuz it is cheaper as compared to iPad pro (honestly what my budget allows 😅). My main objective is illustration and note taking. Thanks for the review ☺👍

@@jorgeisntfunny So far, my experience has been pretty good. The iPad Pro 12 inch model does have the advantage of a bigger screen. But the iPad 14 is like value for money. I think it all comes down to personal preference and the tasks you are going to perform on it.
@@jed23ify So I have mainly been doing illustrations and content consumption on the iPad. And I haven't had a single problem with it. If you want the bigger screen. I would say to save up and get the iPad pro. And the display would be far superior in the iPad Pro 12 2021 model. For me, there has been no lag while taking notes or illustrating. So if your budget allows it. I would say get the Ipad pro 12. GOOD LUCK 😁👍

I love my iPad Air! I used to not like iPad but because of this iPad I have officially become an iPad person and the display is so much clearer then my iMac 2020. I find myself on it more than my desktop it’s so freeing to not have to use a laptop now that I have graduated college.
Just bought one. I only use it for Netflix, eBooks (Kindle app), reading documents (Word or PDF), youtube, and surfing web. I love it. Couldn't justify buying the Pro. If you're like me, the Air is all you need.
I find the iPad camera very useful at school. Taking photos of the whiteboard and scanning textbooks in the library. I’ve completely avoided buying textbooks that way.
I have never regretted buying the ipad air 4. It gives so much value for its price. Have been using it for four months now and it has really helped me get through this hard semester.
Ipad air 4 is an underrated ipad they forgit it has a14 processor and can really run apps for regular usage. This is good for students and young professionals
@@badhrihari1705 the keyboard is actually quite heavy, but it replaces my laptop so I'm fine. The cursor is fantastic and u can adjust the speed and so on. HOWEVER, there wil be times when the keys will not work if the cursor is not seen but the finger gestures work. U just have to power off and on the ipad, then it's back to normal. For the price compared to magic keyboard, I'd say its absolutely worth it, only a few minor inconveniences

I was considering the air but the jump in memory made me want to go with the m1 pro. Base base pro is only fifty dollars more and then 256 air and I can live with 128 gigs on my iPad… 64 gigs not so much. Great video hope to see some on the new iPad Pro and iMac!
Big fan of your videos. The level of detail you cover is just right. I have been planning to buy iPad Air 4 and then Apple launched the new iPad a few weeks ago. So I am a bit of a dilemma - to go for the new one or iPad Air 4. My use case: 1) Reading 2) Writing 3) Zoom calls 4) Processing photos (basic Adobe Lightroom). What would you advise? By the way, your video on Logitech Smart Folio keyboard vs. Apple Magic keyboard convinced me that I need to go for Logitech one. Thanks for a lot again, for these wonderful videos.

Thanks for this. I’m rocking a 1st Gen 9.7” iPad Pro that has been great but is showing its age with the latest iPad OS upgrade. It’s looking more and more like I could get by with a 4th gen Air. I also have a 2014 Mac Mini that I rarely use. I will wait for WWDC; Apple might unveil a compelling reason to get the Pro, such as an iOS version of Final Cut. Or they might not.
Just bought an *IPad Air 4th gen in 🍏 green color* since I owned a 🌊 *pacific blue iPhone 12 Pro Max* and 🌹 *Rose gold MacBook Air* I gotta say the variety of colors fascinates me. 😍
iPad Air is awesome, but I’d kinda prefer a used 2018 iPad Pro instead. Prices will be relatively similar, as will performance (how many every day tasks would really take advantage of A14 vs A12x ?). But the 120Hz ProMotion display is just a joy to use, and I can’t imagine going back.
I have had my iPad Air 4 for a month now still love it not only I do my art work on it I run my TH-cam channel as well and the Magic Keyboard is totally awesome love the typing experience totally great tablet I would recommend the Air to everyone it is just that good

I got my hands on mine today. I found it extremely heavy with the Magic Keyboard (heavier than a MacBook Pro). Also, before I bought it, I was positive I’d be able to have it in vertical position on the keyboard, but I was wrong. I also didn’t like the fact that there are no corded headphone jacks. I do have cordless headphones but they use much more battery too.
I just bought one and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I think that it will be a pretty nice upgrade for me, since I still have and occasionally use iPad Air (Yes the first iPad Air). I just need something for Office (Excel, Word...), Note taking, Media Consumption, Basic Sketching, Basic Photo Editing and News Reading on the go, so no need to get the new M1 Pro. Hope it lives up to the expectations.
I rly want to get one. The last iPad I had still had the giant square charger (I’m not a tech person hahah) and no camera so I think this will be a major upgrade for me 😅

Hey I really need your opinion on this one I'm shifting from an iPad 2nd generation (yes I know it's an ancient relic right now) and i wanna buy a new iPad. Meanwhile I literally waited till I worked at T-Mobile to discount the prices 😂😂 I am glad I picked this over the 8th gen though

@@badhrihari1705 the keyboard is actually quite heavy, but it replaces my laptop so I'm fine. The cursor is fantastic and u can adjust the speed and so on. HOWEVER, there wil be times when the keys will not work if the cursor is not seen but the finger gestures work. U just have to power off and on the ipad, then it's back to normal. For the price compared to magic keyboard, I'd say its absolutely worth it, only a few minor inconveniences
@@Nat-rc1tn When mine acts up I take the iPad out of the case and clean the contacts on both and it goes back to working fine

I was considering the air but the jump in memory made me want to go with the m1 pro. Base base pro is only fifty dollars more and then 256 air and I can live with 128 gigs on my iPad… 64 gigs not so much. Great video hope to see some on the new iPad Pro and iMac!

Big fan of your videos. The level of detail you cover is just right. I have been planning to buy iPad Air 4 and then Apple launched the new iPad a few weeks ago. So I am a bit of a dilemma - to go for the new one or iPad Air 4. My use case: 1) Reading 2) Writing 3) Zoom calls 4) Processing photos (basic Adobe Lightroom). What would you advise? By the way, your video on Logitech Smart Folio keyboard vs. Apple Magic keyboard convinced me that I need to go for Logitech one. Thanks for a lot again, for these wonderful videos.

Thanks for this. I’m rocking a 1st Gen 9.7” iPad Pro that has been great but is showing its age with the latest iPad OS upgrade. It’s looking more and more like I could get by with a 4th gen Air. I also have a 2014 Mac Mini that I rarely use. I will wait for WWDC; Apple might unveil a compelling reason to get the Pro, such as an iOS version of Final Cut. Or they might not.

iPad Air is awesome, but I’d kinda prefer a used 2018 iPad Pro instead. Prices will be relatively similar, as will performance (how many every day tasks would really take advantage of A14 vs A12x ?). But the 120Hz ProMotion display is just a joy to use, and I can’t imagine going back.

I got my hands on mine today. I found it extremely heavy with the Magic Keyboard (heavier than a MacBook Pro). Also, before I bought it, I was positive I’d be able to have it in vertical position on the keyboard, but I was wrong. I also didn’t like the fact that there are no corded headphone jacks. I do have cordless headphones but they use much more battery too.

I just bought one and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I think that it will be a pretty nice upgrade for me, since I still have and occasionally use iPad Air (Yes the first iPad Air). I just need something for Office (Excel, Word...), Note taking, Media Consumption, Basic Sketching, Basic Photo Editing and News Reading on the go, so no need to get the new M1 Pro. Hope it lives up to the expectations.
I rly want to get one. The last iPad I had still had the giant square charger (I’m not a tech person hahah) and no camera so I think this will be a major upgrade for me 😅

I'm shifting from an iPad 2nd generation (yes I know it's an ancient relic right now) and i wanna buy a new iPad.
I'm gonna use the iPad for TONS of note taking so I'm really confused between the iPad Air 4 and the new iPad Pro 11" 2021 with the M1 chip.
Also I would be using the iPad as my main laptop replacement so I'll be doing some basic "laptopish" stuff on it.
Please do recommend which one to purchase cause I wanna "Buy it nice" instead of "buying it twice"😂
