      Try Nattokinase-Serrapeptase (natto-serra) for joint/tendon issues and maybe MSM (methyl-sulfonyl-methane) for general pain (methylation). Also a product like "Bone Restore" for Calcium and other.
      -Try making your own bone broth (from real bones). =You maybe surprised by the results.

    Hello Rich: My friend you did it again with another superb diagnosis. How many times have I stated that there aren't many people that work & / or take pride in their work like us old timers. I had the MB airmatic suspension on my 500 sedan & I just loved the ride. The only thing next to it would be an early 90's Rolls Royce Corneich convertible with hydrologic suspension. Now that's expensive + the seals always Leaked fluid but the ride was like a carpet. My one concern would be how much damage was done to the air compressor for the suspension ????? Another terrific video & job, God Bless & my best to your family, TMP from N.J. 😊😊

  • @shyro76
    @shyro76 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    If you can’t afford a new Mercedes, you can’t afford a used Mercedes. Technology like air suspension is fantastic when it works, and when it inevitably fails given some long period of time (it will), you’re gonna fork over an arm and a leg if you want any chance of being able to fix it. Nice video!

    • @alouisschafer7212
      @alouisschafer7212 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wrong.
      If you pay considerably less for a used one you can afford stuff like this.

    • @shyro76
      @shyro76 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@alouisschafer7212 except it’s not wrong, and paying less for a car if you’re just gonna end up using the money you “ saved “ to get the car in running shape kinda defeats the purpose of having saved money if you could’ve just bought a better car. You can’t brag about spending 5 grand on a Mercedes if you’re then gonna spend that or more just to get the car in decent shape only to realize that you’re probably never gonna be finished with fixing it. A good example is the LS460. They’re great cars, and they’ve depreciated like a rock sinking underwater so most people now can buy them for basically what you’d pay for a new SE Camry. That’s great on paper, but when you have to buy parts for an LS460, you’re not buying parts for a $30,000 car. You’re buying parts for what was originally a $100,000 car fully optioned

      @@shyro76 Mercedes is too diverse of a brand to put a price to what it will cost to keep a used one on the road it depends on what you have.
      Yeah sure Airmatic rebuilt oh boy thats a big bill or worst case the engine grenades itself yeah that's it to the auction yard it goes.
      On the contrary mercedes has cars and drivetrains that are dirt cheap to repair and maintain like C Class + Diesel for example.
      But anything AMG is a step up in price for sure.

    check the bags with soapy water for any leaks ,common problem , we used to replace the pumps , and the valve /distribution block , alot for sticking valves and of course pumps would fail or work intermittently , also if pump repl, reqd , replace the relay also as they are prone to over heat or just fail altogether ,

    Mercedes Airmatic yeah I'd avoid it or convert it back to standard suspension.
    It's just one of those things you gotta know about when you buy an older Mercedes.
    If the system needs to be rebuilt which is inevitable the bills can be.. up there.
    Standard suspension is just cheaper and more reliable.
    Nice to hear that this one wasn't bad I mean this thing looks like factory new underneath I'm impressed honestly.
    The older Mercedes with the diesel engines and 5 Speed Auto last forever they aren't rocketships but they just drive and drive if you keep up with basic maintenance.
    Mercedes gasoline engines are always more problematic sadly but not all of them are bad.

    So my w211 is sagging on the right rear (passenger) side, but the compressor is not always running and it doesn't seem to lose air over time. Most of the time is lower than the left (driver side), but sometimes it manages to be even. I suspect they are not properly set or maybe the level sensors are bad? Or maybe a bad/worn strut? What do you think sir?

    Driving an older Mercedes in Chicago salt is a recipe for disaster and huge auto bills. The air-rides on Mercedes are the best though. GM/Dodge(Ram) air-ridesare pretty good also.
    Winter is pretty much over so all the classic BMW/Mercedes come out again and need to be fixed.

    • @FordBossMe

      This one has not one bit of rust on it

    • @alouisschafer7212
      @alouisschafer7212 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wrong.
      Our stuff doesn't rust bad anymore.
      I see 20 year old german shitboxes here everyday and they don't rust it comes down to caring for your vehicle and not letting the nasty salt sludge accumulate everywhere for months so it can eat your car away.
      You americans also salt your roads like there is no tomorrow man really we don't do it as much here and it keeps our stuff in better condition salt is corrosive as hell to anything.
      01 to 03 Mercedes yeah they rust like hell 100% Mercedes had problems at their plant with the acid baths and the cars rust by themselves really bad so yes those years will crumble everywhere.
      Older years are fine and the newer vehicles we make really don't rust anymore except cheap VAGs do have spots where they like to get crusty but its not structural.
      It comes down to care if the owner washes this car really well with a pressure washer regularly to get the salt crap out of it from underneath and in the wheel wells he will be fine having the car undercoated and wax sealed would be even better.
