Buying A Broken Mercedes CLS For $2,500 Then Fixing It Cheaply

  • In this video I reveal my newly acquired 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS500 with a clean title for only... $2,500.
The car was purchased with broken Airmatic suspension and overall very neglected. In the end, all it needed was a new Airmatic compressor and fixed the faulty pressure valve block thanks to Pouria from GTP Motorsports in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

If you are a member of a Slavic mafia, or want an exceptionally handling and sedan (despite being labeled as "coupe"), this car rocks so much. Mate , this car is in terrible condition , that interior has a lot of wear for just 100.000 miles ,just look at that steering wheel, the electric seats doesn't work all the time, the exterior of the car is full of dents and nasty scratches, and I bet that car has other problems and more miles.. honestly, the car is in really bad condition , you say you paid only 2.500$ for it ,well here in UK you can find a car like this in very good condition for 2.500£ ,so it's not really a deal breaker for it's condition

Ask for a ride or two , and if you have a friend or someone who knows about mechanics, take that person with you . Safety comes first , trust me , you would be surprised what people could lie about , just to sell their cars . Don't cheap out on important things , making the car look beautifull on your taste can come on second place . This is the only good advice I can give you . Good luck !

I have an ‘06 E500 and I think IT’S the best looking Mercedes model of all time! Of course, we’re all a little biased. I’m a little envious of the great deal he got but if I was the owner and this guy tried to talk down price because it needed tires…I’d tell him to go jump in the lake, go fly a kite. Tire replacement is normal wear and tear, maintenance and should not bring down the value of the car. By the way, I paid $7800 for my MB and after just three weeks I’ve replaced both rear airsprings with Arnott for around $440 ea although only the driver side spring was bad. Had my mechanic do the labor for $450. Took him 5 hours so $90/hr is a fair wage for a good mechanic and way less than normal shop rate of $140-$150, dealership probably $200-$250 per hour

I got a 2011 CLS 550. The hydraulics dropped in the owner gave up on it when I took it to the shop. The mice in his garage ate through the line his mechanic lied to him about the parts and the price. Needless to say is sitting in my driveway $2,000

Cool video...But cars are about driving...Crazy...5 minutes about the interior, but nothing about how the drive is....How the engine is...How the gearbox is....

Tbh scratches and scuff marks are not that big of a deal as long as the car runs good.

not the cheapst. I traded a 2015 Ford fusion titanium for mine. 113k on the CLS550 AMG sport, 1 owner from FL. The fusion cost me $700, and the CLS cost me about $1000 to repair.
Mine is in far better condition than this.

Clean the leather seats then treat then with saddle soap. Buy a can of matching touch up paint with clear mixed in. And buy some small brushed. Spray it into a newspaper then dip the brush and do the tough up. If you will heat the rock chip clear protectors they come off simpler. ( air dryer ). Seat problem may be dirty electrical connectors or broke wire. Get some electrical contact cleaner and check the wires for breaks at bends. Have fun.

I had one exact same car and colors. The check engine light always flare up periodically as well as the indicator of a light being out. My shocks went out and it is in my garage and will be. The price for a shock is $2,000 dollars each. All Europian make and models have the same problems. Electrical and shock issues. BMW's, Audi, Jaguar, Range Rover. If you have money to give away and the problem will always exist by euro import. Nice cars for the name and notoriatie if owning one nut that's just about it. The are broken promises.
