    Thx Mike. Appreciate the response.. I also suppose you did not have to re calibrate. Looks like you just replaced the shocks and the.valve. Yes its true my compressor does not run all the time. Just when I start the car.

    Thank you for showing us how to replace part that does work well. However, I have watched how to change air suspension compressor and valve block,
    my question about how do I know the problem from compressor or from valve block while front a car does not getup when I had malfunction message on dashboard and before do it that I heard air release sound when I parked the car and switched off engine.

      That's a good question. In the morning I will pass your question to my step son.

      The release you may hear after a drive cycle can be normal. As far as whether it’s the compressor or valve block though it’s hard to say. Replacing the compressor and valve block in conjunction is what is recommended. However starting with the compressor is usually is the best bet and make sure to replace the 40amp fuse if it’s not blown already. Then if that’s all good but you still have issues move to the valve block.

      @@maxemilleo1… thanks for your reply … should I change 40amp fuse before compressor or opposite.

      Make sure the fuse is removed before uninstall. If you haven’t seen it yet, watch this video. Mercedes GL 450 How to Replace Air Suspension Compressor Fuse

    Mike.. would you be able to let me know what the symptoms were of a bad valve? My car rear drops if I keep it parked for some time. Both wheels however at the same time.

      My son is a certified mechanic, sending you his answer.
      If both sides are down that would be a sign of the air struts being defective. The valve being defective would typically cause a fuse to blow because it’s going to over work the compressor. Usually when air struts are starting to leak it’s usually a good time to replace valve block and compressor in conjunction of the air springs but it’s not mandatory( typically air struts, then compressor w/ valve block). Hopefully that answers your question!
      Next Sunday I will post a video on how to change an air compressor and suspension air compressor filter.

    Why didn’t you use the new Mercedes fittings? Just cut the line , light sand to round and re-insert? The advantage would be you would have new gaskets all around? I’d like to know. I’m about to do this job. If you bought cheap one from Amazon I could understand why you would re-use the fittings.

      I always try to keep original parts whenever possible.
      Thank you for your question.

    • @maxemilleo1
      @maxemilleo1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Actually you do not need to cut the lines at all. What you should actually do is push the nut higher up the line and will expose the keepers. Break those off as the valve block will have new nuts installed as seen in video. Once you remove the keepers and nuts it’s just push to connect no cutting necessary!

    • @mespartacus
      @mespartacus 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But when you remove the old fittings the plastic tube that is left is no longer nice and flat. It is gauged from the old fitting. so that is why I’d cut the end off and lightly sand. Make sense?

    • @maxemilleo1
      @maxemilleo1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mespartacusyeah that definitely makes sense! I typically have never really gouged it. But sanding it doesn’t hurt especially if the end of the fitting is not flush. But usually what I have ran in to usually is still flush.

    No recalibrate needed?

      @michaelkoren56  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just start the car and let it run. The Valve Block Suspension Control Sensor will do its job.
