    The original Margarita : Equal parts Tequila, Orange liqueur, and lime juice. Make sure it's real liqueur , like 100% Agave Tequila , and real orange liqueur (Gran Marnier, Cointreau). No cheap triple sec, pre-made margarita mix, bargain Tequila that cut with cheap neutral liquor .

    I saw a video to say Beer is bad for diabetes 😕
    White wine is sweet. I am confused now about beer being bad for diabetes 😕 😮Don't know whom to believe 😅😅😊😢

    • @DiabetesF
      @DiabetesF  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We appreciate your concern and understand how conflicting information can be confusing. While it's true that beer can affect blood sugar levels, it's important to understand the nuances. Beer contains carbohydrates, which can raise blood sugar levels, particularly in individuals with diabetes. However, moderation is key. Opting for light or low-carb beer and being mindful of portion sizes can help manage its impact.
      As for white wine, while it may have a sweeter taste, it generally contains fewer carbohydrates compared to beer. Nonetheless, it's essential to consider factors such as alcohol content and portion size, as excessive consumption of any alcoholic beverage can lead to fluctuations in blood sugar levels.
      For personalized advice tailored to your specific health needs, we highly recommend consulting with a healthcare professional.

    Vodka and diet coke doesn’t affect my blood glucose levels because it’s zero carbs so why is lower down the list than light beers which i find do affect my blood glucose levels ?

    • @DiabetesF
      @DiabetesF  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @philipchapman3002, that's an excellent observation, and it highlights an important point about managing diabetes: individual responses to alcohol and mixers can vary significantly. The reason vodka and diet coke might be lower on the list despite being zero carbs is likely due to a broader audience consideration. Light beers are often marketed as a 'better' option for a wider audience, including those who might prefer beer over spirits.
      However, your personal experience with vodka and diet coke not affecting your blood glucose levels is invaluable. It underscores the importance of monitoring your own responses to different types of alcohol and mixers. For some, the combination of vodka and a zero-carb mixer like diet coke can indeed be a preferable option due to its minimal impact on blood sugar levels.
      Are there any other combinations or types of alcohol you've found to be particularly good or bad for your blood glucose management? Also, do you use any specific strategies or tools to monitor your blood sugar levels in relation to your diet and alcohol consumption? Your insights could be very helpful to others navigating similar challenges.

    2 beers? I can't get a buzz off 2 beers. So I go to a party and am ready to go home 16:23 between15 or 20 minutes late? The gin and tonic or vodka and soda a little better choice but drinking such small quantities seems pointless. Corona, like many other light beers, can be a better option for those managing diabetes due to its relatively lower carbohydrate content compared to regular beers. However, moderation is key. Have you had any experiences with how different beers affect your blood sugar levels?

      Great question, @ezeljenkins6088! 🍶 Sake, a traditional Japanese rice wine, has a moderate glycemic index but should still be consumed in moderation due to its alcohol content. Do you enjoy sake occasionally? Remember, it's always best to consult with a healthcare provider to understand how different types of alcohol can fit into your diabetes management plan. @DiabetesF  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We appreciate your perspective 🙌. While it's true that enjoying a whiskey 🥃 drink occasionally may seem harmless, it's important to consider its impact on blood sugar levels, especially for individuals managing diabetes. Research suggests that moderate alcohol consumption may have varying effects on blood sugar, depending on individual factors such as diet and medication. However, excessive alcohol intake can disrupt blood sugar control and lead to complications.
