- Some of the old assets in the asset store still look pretty good, but some of them are generic so you might need a few extra steps.

I had no idea that there is a website that auto animates ur model thank you 🙏🙏
Youre welcome! Have fun building games
Very interesting. How can I extract individual generic animations that are all in one file like Take001 but has from ... to time for each animation?
i'm only extracting the model. generic animations are based on different bone structures. but for animations you can cut them up into different parts by using the animation tab.

Nice tip!
thanks!
MAN YOU JUST KILLED IT THA?K U
just some easy workaround :)
Thank you thank you thank you very very much
enjoy :)
So basically if i want to have your humanoid character models to have animations i need to convert the rig to humanoid? But what if i still use generic?
Generics and humanoids are rigged differently. You wont be able to use animations based on different rigs.
Hey bear,
If I rename one of the bones the animation doesn’t work because the bone is not the changed name in the avatar. How can I change the bone name of the avatar?
hi there. i'm not sure why you wanna change the names, but you can do that in blender or any other 3d modeling software. changing them in the prefabs will mess up your animation data.

you'll need to setup all the names and then import it to unity again.
my recommendation is don't.
well, is it possible to use BOTH generic animations and humanoid animaitons to a 3D model?
I havent tried. Why dont you give it a go
I have a problem ! I want to animate a hand ! It's generic and not humanoid isn't it ? I want to associate a skeleton modele that I create with motion capture and visualize it on unity (after that I want to do a real time animation). I did it with humanoid avatar but just a hand avatar I can't ! I'm lost :(( I mapped bone by bone but it doesn't work.
if your entire model is a hand you probably wanna go with generic. you also need a programmer if you're writing an app
keep up the good work, but this isn't what I actually wanted.
thanks. good luck mate
