If possible, can you please make a video in terms of making a rig for the 3D model which is imported into the unity environment. I want to control the movement of the hands of the 3D model based on my hand moments which are detected by the open CV in unity.
I downloaded an animation, but it didn't come in that cube icon thingy though. It came as the animation by itself (Light Blue Triangle), & if i click on the animation, I don't get a side panel that has all that rig & humanoid sterf on it,... but I rigged my avatar as a humanoid & made controller, params, & menu & all that jazz, so i just dragged my idle animation into the idle state in the Animator tab & then pressed play & it worked. My feet were floating around on the ground for some reason, but I clicked "Apply Root Motion" in the Animator Controller in Inspector & it fixed that issue. I just thought i'd mention that just incase anyone was going through the same issue(s).
Heyo Bmo, could you do a tutorial in smoothing attack stages (smooth attack combos) and their transitions? I would be thankful, this is being a pain for me fr :P
I would suggest to download the model as TPose with out an animation than download every animation without skin. than do not delete the fbx for the animations, select humanoid at the Rig tab. than for avatar definition select copy from other avatar and select the T-Pose one. thanks to this the animations do as intendent

But I have a problem when I switch the animation it has a pretty long delay. e.g. after pressing the punch key, the character keeps idling for several seconds and then plays the punching animation. I wanna make it punch immediately after pressing the punch key. How do you think I could fix it?
Nice tutorial. Can you summarize how to set up colliders on a mixamo character? My character is walking right through my walls and can't figure out why as I've tried adding colliders to the character (and walls of course).Thanks.
I tried dragging the animation controller into my model, and now my Canvas is completely broken, and Unity is fussing about "Invalid AABB aabbb". What do I do?
how do you make sure that the position isn't offset by transitioning back to another animation while you are half way through the current animation. i've had trouble with things getting more and more offset the more you change animations before they're complete. do you have to reset the animations in the code?
Thank you for the concise demo. I was curious though as I was getting the same errors in the console, do you know why they are caused. They don't seem to be breaking changes, but they disappear after restarting Unity. Most likely with copying the animation files out of the original package, but I was wondering if any info concerning it.
Why does this work for certain character imports, but not others? For reference I am completely new to all of this and all characters I have tried using so far have been from the unity asset store. I've got it working great with "Banana Man" but as for other characters, I can't seem to get it to work. Please help.
For somereason when I add a movement script for my enemy (what i'm using the animation on) he seems to float endlessly. The animation works fine. I am using a terrain could that be the reason?

I found the solution. Uncheck "Has Exit Time" in the animation
make a video on adding a animation on your walk (forward and backward)

searches animation for Unity worlds and get avatars.
no such thing as overx or etc, talx 1ufeirox bloat, doesnt matter
this only works if you use pre made assets, if you created your own T pose character this not gonna work. so this tutorial is not really helpful.
Your character needs to be rigged and skinned to a skeleton for this to work. You can do this with mixamo as well.
