Yes. But now I think of all the other Chinese players like Chen Jin (ok fine, he has a AE and WC), Du Peng Yu, Bao Chunlai, Tian Houwei, and god knows how many more that never accomplished as much, much less a Olympic gold medal and 2x WC. He's also happily married to Wang Shixian.
he's got a 4-13 record against Axelsen, he aged out of contention. In his prime he would (and did) crush Viktor 70%+ of the time. But then so did Momota, so did old-man LCW, so it's not a huge accomplishment in and of itself. Olympic Gold in the golden era of badminton to round off 3 years of peak dominance - that's something else.
