This is Lin Dan's twilight edition. Still his court coverage and shot placement is really impressive. Only thing lacking is his power. But he compensated it by precision and patience. True Legend.
And even then his court coverage is so slow and limited compared to his golden years. Look how much he struggles with front court movement compared to his early days
You haven't seen the real power of Lin Dan, go and watch his matches of 2008 to 2012. He was extremely offensive especially around 2008 and very fast. Gradually he changed his style idk why
@@vinitakaushik4796 because his body could no longer cope with the aggressive style from 2014. He really struggled with front court movement and explosive rear rear court movement. I think he had major knee problems.
One legend on his way out VS a legend in the making.. that's the beauty of racquet sports. Lin Dan's past his prime, lacking in speed and power but has immense experience and amazing footwork playing against a much younger, stronger and taller opponent. Every lob to the back of the court becomes a 3 quarter shot because of Axelsen's reach. Lin Dan's strategy is to slow down the game and force the opponent to play to his tempo while the younger and hungrier Axelsen is trying to ramp the game up.
@@cyrilleyong9615 Axelsen is an idiot who has no skill, and has to rely on him being tall to have an advantage over others. Put him into his category, with a 20% increased size of the court, and lets see how good he really is. He's just a tall baby boy who gets emo whenever he doesn't get what he wants.
Lin Dan conserved his energy for the first two sets and played Tai-Chi with Axelsen, then sped up in (the second half of) the last set to finish him off - true legend!
Watch Lin Dan for 2 decades. This match seems like he is in slow motion. And it's impressive that Axelson can move that fast and very skillful, he is 194 cm tall!
Nobody dares to celebrate a victory the way Lin Dan celebrates it ... its just the domineering way his personality is, it shows through not just in his playing style ....
Li Dan no 1 , li chong wei no 2 diera kegemilangan zaman nye . Sekrang ini li zie jhia , keto mamota , victor , antony ginting , jonatan saling bertukar kemenangan . Dan mereka ada lah antara yng terbaik sekarang .
I like this match, thanks for that, but, whoever edited this match is completely biased towards victor rather than l dan Any how ld is match winner, but still you shows all his mistakes only rather than va. i just feels like that, I could be wrong. Thanks.
@haraldsvik1452 Prime Axelson could not beat Prime Momota. Prime Lin Dan destroyed Momota in head to head numbers. Lin Dan nearing his retirement still put up a good fight against Prime axelson. Simple conclusion: Lin Dan > LCW > Momota > Axelson
I remember steen once said that lin dan was lucky in this final against viktor as it was clear that viktor was playing the better of the two and overall controlling the whole match.
I can't believe we're _actually_ having serious debates about these two Put it this way. Lin Dan is undeniably better than Kento and LCW in his prime years - by a wide margin. Those two are something like 28-5 against Viktor, most of that during Viktor's prime and LCW last legs. The reason Viktor is dominating now is because literally everyone else sucks compared to the Golden Era. He didn't just suddenly hit his prime at age 28. Prime is 22-28, Viktor no exception.
axelsen is blessed to be able to fight them legend, hence he develop a champion mentality and experience, it just wasnt that for momota if it wanst for that accident, dude should have been able to stop axelsen domination these recent years, it takes a long time for people to even beat axelsen .
@@willkamechehe1496 so after the traditional badminton prime had passed, after his main nemesis and people he couldn't beat either retired or got injured and only soup can completion was left, he just got better? I guess that's possible yes. Anything is, after all.

This was Japan 2015. LD beat Viktor again in All England 2017
Axelson isn't a legend in the making.. He's just tall. It's like a cs go player with map hacks ok?
Axelsen dominated his era and won gold in the Olympics against many other tall players. What are you even talking about

Tactics of LinDan is number one
What a game!! so cool!
Lin Dan once said in an interview that Victor is the only player in this current generation that has the hunger for victory.
Worth to watch, amazing match

I hope all official match broadcasting or recordings have angle like this one. This is way more vivid and enjoyful than the stupid 45° overlook.
Yes, BWF definitely should change their angle!

Thank you for your support!
Lin dan passed his prime days and alexen is in his prime but still little difference in terms of speed, skills, shots.
This is axelsen before his prime clearly
Viktor was just 20 years old and frankly Lin Dan wasn't his best either.
The camera man did a great job
When i look at him play, i kinda forgot the definition of pressure. His so relaxed. This is for me what separates him with the other legend LCW.
Axelsen has very nice badminton technique
Does anyone know lin dan shoe model
12:51 Incredible
12:52 -13:36 awesome too 🤩😬🤘🤘🤘👍👍
ATM Lin Dan passed his peak days and Alexei's prime has not come yet.
🔥❤️💪
Nice Video!!
Thanks!
This is the mad comeback one innit? Lin Dan was like how many was it? I think 8-10 points behind and still ended up winning.
viktor was doing what lin dan did to lee chong wei (pushing the forehand side and anticipating a straight drop)
is the cameraman also the VIP?
great angle :)
That was so satisfying 7:50
8:35 there was smoke when viktor drive's:0

Lucky Lin Dan rubber game 21-19 ?. But great rally from both at 17-17 in the rubber.
Nobody can fight stamina against lin dan except axelson from europe country💪
China More Strongest Power
林丹太强了,可以看出老年的林丹有意节省体力的打法,尽可能通过调度消耗掉安塞龙的体力,最后一局再把他拿下。
Kenapa Chen Long bola lob nya gak kebelakang bngt ea? Cenderung 3/4
林丹the BEST 💪
Why is Lin Dan making it so easy for this long Viktor????????
林丹这对手很强大 但是第二局明显看的出来林丹跟放松的玩 导致输了。第三局终于认真了。 who is alex?
