I just love the Irama Melayu (traditional Malay music) throughout the video. Foreigners barely ever use (not sure if they even aware of) Malay music in their videos and I really appreciate that about you two.
And since you’re an engineer, why don’t apply for a job at Petronas? It was the most profitable company in the whole of Asia in 2008 and they contribute most to Malaysian economy iinm. They pay sweetly too
I hope this won’t come off as racist but Bangladeshis are the nicest of immigrants in Malaysia. They the fastest learner of our national language, being able to speak the language in just months of living here, and the kindest too.

5:45 As to the mosque, while historically important, it's not located in a residential district. So nowadays those who use it for prayers are usually not Malaysians but Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani and Indonesian migrant workers who work in the area.

Actually, the one that gained independent in 1957 is Malaya(West Malaysia). Malaysia formed 16th September 1963 by 4 nations - Malaya, Singapore, Sabah & Sarawak.
14:31 The 'gelatin' is the effect of cornflour fixed into the soup to make it thick. You take small amount of cornflour, mix it with some water until it turn to liquid(I usually mix them in a cup), then pour it into the boiling soup.
That also how I make beef stew from beef soup leftover.

    Hello, Gigi and Mike!
correction: the Federation of Malaya (West Malaysia) indeed gained its independence on 31st August, 1957 from Britain.
16th September, 1963: Malaya, Singapore, Sarawak and Sabah (S & S both in Borneo Island known as East Malaysia) came together to form what is now known as Malaysia.
Fact: Sabah had its independence on 31st August, 1963.
Fact: Sarawak gained its independence on 22nd July, 1963 before Malaysia came to be in September, 1963.

Walk at night, then it is a lot different experience, especially the fountain sprinkler u ask about.
Mind u guys, why the rivers are no 1 important:
    1. Back in the day, everyone use the river water for living and remember,Malaysia was a mining(tin, iron ore, aluminum, and etc etc) country, so the need of using water is number one for that case,as we do provide the rubber for the world too, till now.
    Kuala is sanctuary.
    Lumpur is muddy.
And any sanctuary in Malaysia was and is the early town/development

The whole metro area is pretty modern with many futuristic developments build such as TRX, Lalaport, Pavillion area and world class public transportation now. Its squeaky clean and fairly organized too. Good place to be in Asia to live and business

    1. The location of current Masjid Jamek was originally Muslim burial ground (cemetary) over a century ago. Based on an old 1895 map, previous mosque was located across the river to the right (the place you bought burger and purple drink, maybe Ribena). Next to it was Malay settlement. Based on an old newspaper article, crocodiles used to roam freely in the middle of Klang River in Kuala Lumpur! Today, crocodile sightings are still common from few kilometres downstream until the river mouth (Straits of Melaka)
    2. You should have spent the evening at the back of KLCC for colourful musical fountain show.
