Because strictly speaking, this video is wrong, this is NOT how NMR works for a single proton.
Because if you want to learn something it does not enough to learn how exactly it works, but WHY. Like everything in math and physics, they have their reason and you must learn them all.

this is so goood !!!the problem with professors nowadays is that they dont talk about basics like these they start talking about details immediately that make the students think the subject is soooooooo complex becaue they don't know what ur talking about
nice video. had mri on my knee for first time. it took about 25 minutes. pretty cool to know what was going on in the machine. i can also see why people who are claustrophobic can't handle it.

Correction . The proton doesn't align or move to B0 (main magnetic field), their Nuclear magnetic Vector moves , aka the tiny magnetic field created by it's spin.
This isn't how it works for a single proton, when you're turning is the overall magnetization.
Still, it's ok for an absolute beginner.
