No issues at all. Very happy with it.UPDATE: After 6 months of use and over 70 uses I would still highly recommend this pressure washer. It does vibrate a decent amount but never had it “walk” like others have mentioned. No oil leaks, still seems to run like the day I bought it. Still cranks within 2-3 pulls every time. Very happy with my purchase!Have used it about a dozen times now. Plenty of power, cranks up on 1-2 pulls every time. My only complaint would be I wish it was a little taller to make it easier to walk with it (hits my ankles a lot) and that the two hose connections were a little further apart but it hasn’t caused me any issues. Seems to run a good 1-1/2-2 hrs on a full tank, overall a well built machine and definitely worth the money in my opinion.
I appreciate the demonstration and information. I decided to purchase it and it is everything you mentioned. I bought it to pair with a 22" (3 nozzle rotary bar) General Pump HAMMERHEAD surface cleaner and it is a perfect match!!! I also use it for soft washing and this machine allows me to shoot my solution up to appx. 35' to reach roofs and peaks without leaving the ground. My philosophy is don't buy an 8/gpm machine for several thousand dollars unless you've got the big contracts like hotels and parking garages, etc., because it's overkill for residential. I've made $8,231 in 4 months with this machine and the surface cleaner. I bought a 100' of extra HP hose and a 100' of garden hose, 2 hose reels and mounted it (to a steel diamond-plated skid I fabricated) in the bed of my F-150. Take care and God Bless. M. Good review. I had a job where the foreman bought one of these, we mainly used it for greencutting concrete piles, cleaning rebar, tyres and excavators before transport or road use. Was a really excellent washer, it generally started up right away without issues, the fuel tank was a little small, lasted maybe 4hrs. I just bought one of these from home depot this past week to do some house washes with, went to use for the very first time this weekend and would never crank, being that i paid almost $1,100 for this machine and it never cranked i was very dissatisfied! I work on pressure washer as part of making a living. I will let you in on a little secret about them. NO ONE makes pressure washers. They make pressure washer FRAMES and labels. I considered this unit as I had a 3000PSI DeWalt until last year and it was a good unit, but I ended up going with the Stihl and I love everything about it. I loved the Honda engine on the DeWalt, but I felt like the pump was anemic at best. The Stihl uses a very good Koehler engine and beefy pumps. Let’s face it, any engine you put on these pressure washers will outlast the pumps so it’s best to get a unit with a great pump and a very good engine instead of the reverse. There are lots of other quality issues that make the Stihl a better choice. It’s ergonomically better since you don’t have to bend over to move it, the hose is more flexible, the wand has a reverse trigger which allows you to use your strongest fingers to actuate it instead of your weakest, it has a vibration mitigation system which allows it to essentially float on a cushion of rubber......it’s just all around a better unit in my opinion. So if you are considering this unit, take a look at Stihl too. Great warranty and can be serviced at any Stihl service center, of which there are a ton.

I like the fact that the pump oil level can be viewed. Your statement regarding "the pump oil should be changed after the first x-number of hours use" makes sense. Every since my first new motorcycle at age 15, it seems the rule is with new engines to change the oil after the break-in period. Makes sense that pumps would follow the same rules. So this begs the question: Do not most pressures washers have a sealed unit that does not include oil level viewing port, a pump that is not designed to easily change the pump oil? Should one also attempt to change the oil on one of these units after a break-in period? I suppose ultimately one would want to follow the manufactures guide as to this need, but wanted to hear your input.
Most pumps are a "sealed" pump with oil in there meant to last a lifetime. Similar to what BMW does to their transmissions now..... Those units do not have a long life expectancy...... would I try to change the oil in those types, NO, because I would never pay much for them and I would rather not risk a failure due to maintenance. would I if it was easy, heck yes!

The water will heat up in the pump and not cool the pump, but a thermal regulator will spit out the water and allow new in. I would not trust that thermal bypass and turn it off it it will sit for 2 mins.
Question about the downstream detergent injection system; I'm under the impression that detergent still goes through the pump, which means you have to be careful about what chemicals you use (chlorine, etc.). Is this correct? Because if it is, I'm considering investing in the x jet system (I'd rather not, but I don't want to wreck pump). Thanks

What were you saying about fuel additive? The lowest ethanol I can get is 10%. You said you "recommend some sort of ethanol additive in every single tank". (SEE ::: 8:14 min) Are you saying that ethanol is a good thing here? What kind of additive do you use?
No ethanol is a bad thing especially for small engines. Run some stabil 360 and every tank
how do you get pump preservative to flow through the unit? I've tried many times (explicitly following Dewalt and AAA pump instructions) and can not get it to come out the output port. my pump failed and i was denied warranty because i admitted this problem. paid for a replacement pump and have the same problem.
You should be able to pull (roll over) the engine while spraying.
how long did it last and would you recommended
Great overview. I just purchased one and needed info.
Great description....can you help me with a further explanation on the choke and gas controls .....starting position and how to turn the unit on after pausing between jobs .....i just got mine.thanks.
Can this be used like a sand blasters to take paint off your car
No, it would not be the same.
@@WorkshopAddict oh because I seen a guy on Facebook it was a commercial they was showing on how to clean a few things well they showed the guy shooting one like this to remove paint off his car I thought that was pretty cool
@@Mr.Frost181 If you had a car that had a horrible paint job, it would most likely be able to do it. But 90 percent of the cars on the road, it could not.
They make a nozzle to draw in sand to wet sandblast this pressure washer is strong enough for that
@@travisturner6783 alright I'm have to buy this then
I have the 3.5 3800 psi...what a beast for a small unit
Thinking about purchasing one of these. Currently I have a Excell 3100 psi 2.8 gallon that starts on every first try water pump was just replaced after 8 months use that's my only gripe. Other than that, I need something with a little bit more kick and this just might be what I'm looking for thanks for the review.
This has a good amount of kick.
Informative info.
However, who ever is watching, never clean your house high pressure, you can damage a lot more than you think. All you need is water flow and about 150 psi. Let the cleaning solution do all the work.
Excellent review. Should this unit be suitable to pressuring washing jobs on 2 or 3 story houses or will an extension wand be needed?
2 story is not an issues, but high gable ends and three stories will need an extension.
@@WorkshopAddict
Thanks for the reply, when I get a little $$$ saved up that is a unit I'm looking at.
I'm a landscaper but want to start doing some pressure washing on the side. How do you think the Ryobi 3100 psi/2.5 gpm with an extension wand will suffice for 5 or so jobs a month ?
@@ousamaabdu794 It might be okay if you take care of it. With any employee abuse, it will fail quickly. You can see it's performance here.... th-cam.com/video/avkCBvMlSjI/w-d-xo.html
What in the world is the other black oil cap on the opposite side for? It doesn’t have a dip stick on it like the grey one. Any ideas?
This motor is used on many different things, so they have oil fills on both side in case one is blocked.
Is this strong enough to cut into dirt? For under pinning purposes.
Overall what is the correct gas mix for this machine?
Thinking about getting one for the company
Do these washers have a built in water pump for mobile detail or would I have to buy a pump to draw water from a tank
So this begs the question:
Do not most pressures washers have a sealed unit that does not include oil level viewing port, a pump that is not designed to easily change the pump oil? Should one also attempt to change the oil on one of these units after a break-in period?
I suppose ultimately one would want to follow the manufactures guide as to this need, but wanted to hear your input.
Most pumps are a "sealed" pump with oil in there meant to last a lifetime. Similar to what BMW does to their transmissions now..... Those units do not have a long life expectancy...... would I try to change the oil in those types, NO, because I would never pay much for them and I would rather not risk a failure due to maintenance. would I if it was easy, heck yes!
Bought a 3200 PSI Speed Wash Pressure Washer Model 7122 | Generac for strictly personal home usage. Still waiting on Tractor Supply to call me for pickup. Hopefully this will last me awhile. Not loaning it out to my nephew for sure. That boy could ruin an anvil with a rubber hammer.
is it worth buying a half-use one or would I have to look at it?
That is a beautiful Ford F250 or F350 power stroke turbo diesel
Hi! What is the exact measure of motor oil for this pressure washer, I bought one this week.
I have the Simpson version of this as well. I read that you shouldn't let it sit without spraying water for more than 2 min. Is this true?
The water will heat up in the pump and not cool the pump, but a thermal regulator will spit out the water and allow new in. I would not trust that thermal bypass and turn it off it it will sit for 2 mins.
Suggestions on what type of oil to use on the motor for oil change and on the pump 👍
Thanks
"Downstream" referring to after the pump. Can be directly after the pump or anywhere between the pump and nozzle.
I basically have this model, but the 2021 version, same gpm. As soon as I unboxed it, I popped on my soap tip and tried to downstream but it wouldn't pull soap. Any recommendations?
What parts do they actually make on that pressure washer? But it does look good and it has a great warranty behind it.
What's the black scew on plug it's got a black on one end & the grey oil stick on the other side
Oil fill and oil dipstick? I need more info where they are.
Some Homes near me dont have good water pressure. can this unit be usted If a home does not have 4gpm comming From the faucet?
Yes, these are not made to create suction.
Good evening, what is the working pressure in the machine?
This is the one. BEAST.
Bryan what about Simpson pressure washer has same exact stuff engine and the pump as well 4400 psi
I have this pressure washer I think it’s over kill for residential use but I wouldn’t have it any other way 😎. Which surface cleaner would work good with this pressure washer ? I ask because I left too many marks using the wand 🤦♂️ first time using it maybe my second time I’ll get better at it.
Start with the 40 degree tip and maybe go to the 20. Simple green is a good cleaner to start with.
What’s the ratio on the chemical injector I see nothing anywhere in the book?
very easy to understand and helpful. Thank you so much!
I was thinking of buying this machine to have a little business on washing trucks like 18 wheelers or small parking lots. Do you recommend?
Ayyy Lol Yes, you have a lot of options to adjust the engine rpm and pump pressure to make it work for anything.
No! You need a hot water unit
Necesito saber cómo se le cambia el aceite la maquina de presión dewarl 4200 psi

Hi Sir, water coming out at the soap jet... can I closed it with nuts? Ty
No, there is a spring valve that should be stopping that. Something is broke.
@@WorkshopAddict ok, so only spring Sir?, can you send me a picture on how it looks... ours is Dewalt 4200 also...
I can get ethanol-less gas at two local stations down the road. It's more expensive (was $4/gal last time, probably less now that prices have come down) so should I have to use a product like Stabil?
not if you will be using the tank completely in 30 days
Ethanol free gas also runs cooler, so saves a bit of wear on engine that way
I put in a stablizer as soon as i bring fresh gas home
How to change pump oil what kind of tools do I need
Do you have any repair suggestions? Water is coming out of my soap thingy. I can’t find any repair info on this for this model.
There is a ball and spring that stops the soap recirculation. Check is that is functioning.
I work by myself. Is it doable to lift in and out of a pick up by yourself?
Yes, it is doable.
What oils does it take?
This is my favorite water gun to use against the local kids, so much fun.

Thanks and a great review. I wish you went into more detail about the belt drive model. Some homeowners wouldn't mind spending the extra $400 for a feature (belt drive) if they knew exactly what it offered over the lesser priced model.
It offers less vibration to be transferred to the water pump allowing for a longer life. That's it.
@@WorkshopAddict
Also keeps the pump MUCH cooler than direct drive pumps.
I can use bleach from the downstream injector that’s built to the machine right? Or do I use soap only?
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
What size garden hose do you recommend? 5/8 or 3/4? I have the 3800psi with the GX270
Either can supply the volume this needs.
@@WorkshopAddict Thanks so much for the reply! I ended up just buying a 5/8 Continental hose. We use those at work and they stand up to hard use. I was going to get a flexzilla but I tend to stick with what I know. Thanks again!
Do you know if Dewalt sells an electric start option for this unit?
Thanks for your reviews but what a good surface cleaner be good to use.

Ton of good cleaners, but simple green seems to work well without doing too much damage to other items around it. On a commercial level, you can get some pretty powerful stuff.

Very detailed, nice video. Where can I get the "pump saver" for storing it longer than 30 days. Your thoughts if I had it sitting without anything for almost a year? I'm changing all fluids and empting gas already.
You might want to run it to get any rust or calcium build up out of the pump. I am unsure of your water type so it is hard to say. watch this video and the links to everything are in the description. th-cam.com/video/nPS2dUw6oY8/w-d-xo.html

I absolutely love mine. However, I can't find anyone to work on it. I still have pressure but it is blowing water out one of the three black caps on top. Any advice or help would be appreciated it.
Pretty sure those can be replaced. Are those rubber or silicone gaskets? They’re supposed to stop water from coming out if they are and if they are rubber silicone gaskets u can get replacements for super cheap but get good quality ones
@@mnced9979 Thanks for the reply. They do seem to be a runner or plastic. I read somewhere that they are like a “freeze plug” on a vehicle. ?.? I didn't try to remove them. I can destroy a army tank with a swiss knife and it would be accidentally.
The military could send me in to enemy territory with the command to change a screw in all of the enemy's tank. I could wipe out their weapons with a hour.
Thanks for the informative video! Great help
Just bought this and it has some serious power. thanks great video. i just bought mine the exact one you have same pump . you think it will work out for commercial daily base???
Laloo Lopez Yes, if you change the oil and the pump often. Use a synthetic oil in both.
WorkshopAddict is that aaa water pump working good for you is it good quality? durable?
At 1:34 we talk about the pump being branded AA, but it is made by Comet. It is a good pump.
what brand motor is on it
what kind of oil do you use for the engine?
I use a good straight 30 weight.
That looks great! Thanks for the review
And when checking the engine oil, make sure you have the dipstick facing down, so you don't get an inaccurate reading!
Dewalt has the same this set up but a CAT pump. It is 1,229.00 for the upgrade. Do you feel its worth it for the CAT pump instead of the AAA pump? Home depot sells them online if you need to look in into it. Thanks!
They sell the foam blaster on Amazon that goes on the gun
This is the same one the Chemical Guys sell but much more affordable. amzn.to/2CAX6Mo
What's it called
Do a review of a Landa hot water system
I noticed that all the people that have done different reviews did not mention if it comes with a soap tank/reservoir or not.
Can I run pool chlorine through the downstream "detergent system"?
It says no bleach, but we have done that multiple times with no issue. It will cause you to replace the intake hose faster.
@@WorkshopAddict It says no bleach because it shortens the life of the high pressure hose. If you do run something like that though the unit make sure to flush the high pressure hose well before storage. It is the out put hose that takes the abuse from such things not the pump. As long as you flush the hose well after such use you should be OK unless you start running something like battery acid though it.
I have less pressure now, what do I do?
You have less pressure now? What did you do? Adjust the spring on the pump?
