I got the 3200 psi simpson because of your video and the Karcher surface cleaner. Arrived today and i just finished my driveway. This was thee easiest driveway cleaning I’ve ever done, including previous washers and previous surface cleaners. You’re DEAD ON this is thee best combo!!!!! Thank you!
Thank you so much, Doc. I was ready to spend almost a grand from my tax refund to get a "powerful washer" but you've shown me exactly what I really need for half the price. You're a legend.
Bought the 3200psi a week ago.It is so awesome and has paid for itself in a week. We were going to replace the deck on the house we bought 4 years ago. We were able to 'renew' the deck with just the water. Keep on making videos.
I have the Simpson 4000 psi and 3.5GPM from Lowes. It’s got the Honda GX270 engine and you are right. Simpson starts right away every time, no matter how long stored. So impressed. Can I bother you for a video on regular “maintenance” and oil change intervals. I also notice there is a separate oil level in the pump housing itself that even has a little window. I can picture never needing another one as long as I care for it properly. I also ONLY use non-ethanol fuel in all my small internal combustion engines (weed eaters, blowers, chainsaws, etc.). Thanks again.
I went with the one with the GX motor. I also got all the accessories that you mentioned. The longer wand and surface cleaner make a big difference (less time, don't get soaked, more thorough clean, no sore back!) , thanks for the tips.
I bought the 2600 PSI you reviewed last year I use the heck out of it best one I have ever owned thanks doc. Just got my second bag of SJ now waiting on my biochar
Good review. Simpson makes really good equipment and will last if you maintain them. I have even rebuilt older professional models. As you stated the main differences between the 2 are the pumps and the motors. The gx is a better built motor than the gc but both are still good and the smaller unit has the radial pump versus the triplex pump.
Great videoDoc. Found your review on the Simpson water pressure last year. Works great thank you.but I noticed when using the pressure washer there is water leaking from the pump seals is that normal?
I was looking for all the information you mentioned. Thank you for the great information that you provided to your followers. I benefited from it a lot
Any opinion/s on the Simpson 3000psi- 2.4gpm with the Honda GC160. Looks like the one in this videos smaller brother. Model #MS60809-S it has 12” hard wheels and stands more vertical. It’s 359$ at Lowes right now.
Thanks for posting an actual review an x break down of the machines . Many youtubers do not actually do this . They just have commercials of info we can read on company websites. It's nice to get an actual opinion and see the products in use .
There’s a very big difference, the Commercial GX motor has forged crank and upgraded internals. Made for everyday , unlike the GC which would be like a weekend warrior.
Hey Doc I just bought the Simson PS3228 3300psi with the GX 200cc 2.5 gpm and lets not forget the disconnect so what Surface Pressure Washer can i use on this monster ,beast.thanks for your time....... Geo
Excellent and thorough review though so many bad reviews on the Lowe(s) site. Many in detail expressing their failures after one year and bottom of the barrel customer support.
I’m looking to power wash playground equipment once a week. Is the newer one in this video big enough and built tough enough for that once a week use. In your opinion.
Thank you Doc!! Ordered the smaller Simpson (as I have lots of steps), extension wand, and Karcher surface cleaner with pump saver. Did my whole property in an afternoon that would normally have taken 2 days!
Great video. Two questions though. Don't you have to rinse your driveway with a hose to push all the loosened dirt off of it? And second, What size quick disconnects do I need for my pressure washer so I can easily remove the hose and wand? Thanks.
Can you make a video showing how to adjust the pressure i can't seem to get it to run properly, I'll probably have to buy a pressure gauge to set the pressure properly, i have a 3400 simpson power by Kohler
A little late, but Wawa sells ethanol free gas. At least the one near me does. I'm assuming they all do. Price sits just between premium and mid-grade...at mine.
I have a Simpson 3400psi 2.4gpm. Has the AAA pump. I use it every weekend washing my cars and other odd jobs around the house. It’s been awesome It looks like your 3200 washer.
Going back and forth if I want to buy an electric or gas power washer. Some of the higher end electrics have just as much power as the smaller Simpson you are showing without the hassle of dealing with gas and oil with a lower price tag. Is there really a benifit to buying the gas motor?
Doc i have a briggs and Stratton i believe its a 2800 psi 190cc small unit just started this so out of no where it started smoking white smoke,a lot of smoke through the carbulator and i researched and aparently it was that it had too much oil so i took the oil out and put new oil in it Tried it and it doesnt smoke a lot but i wouldnt trust it for a 2 or 3 hour job,i will try it out in my home to see if it smokes, but any ideas what it might be?
Just got the 3200 Simpson pressure washer used it once for my patio. The next time I used it, week later, when I turn on the water there is water leaking from pressure hose connection at the motor, thoughts?
Due to your review, I bought the Simpson. My only regret is that with the wheels mounted on the FRONT axle, it's almost impossible to maneuver it up and down a couple of stairs to my pool. I'm considering cutting and rewelding the handle on the other side!
Hi Doc I'm getting ready to purchase the unit, and accessories but your links to Amazon are not working. I want to make sure you get credit as I learned so much from you and your videos. Also, do they offer first responder or Military discounts on the units? Thank.
I have a Stihl pressure washer RB 600 at 3200 psi/3 gpm, I want to use a surface cleaner on my deck and not sure what pressure to use, I have an adjustable regulator and a pressure gauge I added and did not want to damage the wood. Thanks kindly.
Hi Doc. Thank you for great review. Have a quick q about the Karcher surface cleaner. can it be used for a Simpson 3300 PSI at 2.4 GPM HONDA. If not, could you possibly recommend one for 3300 PSI. Thanks for your detailed review and helpful tips
Here's a question and maybe you could do a video on it. Are simpson pressure washer pumps interchangeable? I was thinking of getting a pressure washer with an axial pump for 350 and running that until I need a new pump then upgrading to AAA triplex pump. Just wondering if it was a simple direct fit upgrade/replacement
Quick question. Are these any good for washing cars??? or should i go for a smaller one? I want it for both washing cars, my pool, and some concrete here and there. Thanks in advanced!
Doc, the apex of my 2-story vinyl sided house is about 34 feet off the ground. What are my options to clean? I know Simpson sells a “2 story valve kit”, maybe this? Concerned about buying a pressure washer and it not working on the entire house.
Wondering if you or anyone else in this thread could tell me if there is a big difference in these 2 models? First time buying a gas pressure washer for home use. - SIMPSON MegaShot 3000 PSI-2.4 GPM - SIMPSON Cleaning MSH3125 MegaShot 3200 PSI Gas Pressure Washer, 2.5 As of today, the first model listed above comes with a surface cleaner at Home Depot for $389 and the 2nd model is $449 by itself (without the surface scrubber). Just trying to figure out if the 2nd model is really worth it. Anyone know how much of a difference in power do you get?
I just ordered the Simpson MSH3125 Megashot. I currently have a Craftsman which I hate. I’m looking forward to trying the new one. I hope your recommendation’s correct because we power wash for almost 90 hours a year at our house.
I bought the Simpson pressure washer (Honda engine) I’m trying to figure out if it’s a downstream injected came with wand & hose & different heads got wand plus the concrete driveway disc. Haven’t used it yet I can’t wait. That’s my question should I worry about chlorine or chemicals going into pump should I buy something plastic for the chlorine?
Dude your video is very helpful I appreciate this & im sure u appreciate my comment I put out dash cam footage on tiktok but haven’t moved to TH-cam yet I’m on the fence
Hi Doc, I have a question. On the amazon page the photos of the model that has the GX200 engine shows 3200psi on the control panel. On yours it shows 3300psi on the control panel. is there a difference? I did go to the link on the video. I am planning on using this for commercial use.
Does it matter if the garden hose is 5/8” or 3/4”?? I feel like the thicker hose is better to cool off the pump but I have no idea. What do you think? Please respond
Hi Doc, What is your opinion on the Kohler Engine vs Honda? I only need the MSH3125 equivalent. My local Sam's club is selling a Simpson MS61124 3400 PSI, 2.4 GPM with Kohler SH270 engine for $339.00.
I bought the 3300 psi but water won’t come out with pressure and the oil leaks where the smoke comes out and it’s new I’m really frustrated it’s my first machine
Good morning, excellent video. For some reason the link provided is giving me a restriction access error message. Is there a different link I can use to review the models and accessories on the video? Thank you in advance!
Do the make a hose reel that attaches to the pressure washer? Great videos I have been watching for a long time. Amazing information. I learned the hard way on a lot of choices. Don't get the simpson surface cleaner it clogs very easy. I got the one you recommended and no complaints at all.

I bought the pressure washer, and it works great. That little extender accessory with the spring around it came apart during its first use. No biggie. The Karcher works good but make sure you get it from an American supplier because its made in America. Im waiting a long time for the one coming from China.

Great Video. It's so Awesome that I happened across it. I have been shopping for exactly what you have reviewed here.., the smaller unit. I also have a question... Other than cleaning concrete, fencing, and gutters.. etc. Do you think the pressure of the smaller unit will be ok to use with a Trinova foam cannon sprayer.. for washing cars and a motorcycle?
I use one to keep my construction equipment clean. Mud (plenty available here in N. MS) gets caked up in the tracks so I use the 4000 psi unit. Simpson is great!
Not sure if anybody else chimed in and said Simpson brand & DeWalt are the Exact Same . Made on the same assembly with the same components . Owned by the same billions
Anybody know anything about the 2.8 predator from HF!? I'm between that and the cheaper Honda model from this video to start my small residential house washing business! Thanks in advance! 👍👍
Good to see fathers teaching their daughters life lessons. I've only watched one video, but you seem like an exceptional dad that is raising a beautiful and talented young lady. Now if you could get her to wear some rubber boots rather than open toed sandals... J/k I get it.
Hello Doc, I was just about to purchase the wrong pressure washer when I came across this video. I'm afraid I really know little about pressure washers but just know I need something stronger than my current electric washer. Probably the most important thing to stamp into your brain with pressure washers is to never run the engine without water running through the pump.
Bought the 3200psi a week ago.It is so awesome and has paid for itself in a week. We were going to replace the deck on the house we bought 4 years ago. We were able to 'renew' the deck with just the water. Keep on making videos.

I just ordered a Simpson with Honda motor and I’m so glad to have found your videos. Your tips are so smart!!! Thanks!
Thanks soo much for the informative video. Do you have any recommendations on quick connect adapters for these pressure washers?
I went with the one with the GX motor. I also got all the accessories that you mentioned. The longer wand and surface cleaner make a big difference (less time, don't get soaked, more thorough clean, no sore back!) , thanks for the tips.
Really enjoy and learn a lot from your videos. Just picked up a Simpson pressure washer 3200 psi with a Honda engine.
One of the main differences between the GC and the GX is that the GX has an iron sleeve in cylinder. Which means it will last longer
Awesome information. I have the Simpson 3300 psi Honda gx . It’s a beast and I love the price and the power
What do you think about the SIMPSON PS 60846 4400 PSI 4 GPM?
I just bought the bigger version and can't wait to use it. Thanks for your videos making me decide was alot easier 👍
What is your thoughts on the engines? You pay more to have that Honda name on it but is the higher price tag worth it?
FYI. When I clicked on the link you posted for the 32 PSI washer, it is no longer $369. It is now showing up at $449
Great videoDoc. Found your review on the Simpson water pressure last year. Works great thank you.but I noticed when using the pressure washer there is water leaking from the pump seals is that normal?
I've had the gc190 for for years and loved it.can stay off the trigger for a few good minutes without hurting the engine or pump at all.
Always use premium gas. I've never use still running like a champ
Just purchased the Simpson 3200psi 3 weeks ago, doing very well and PLENTY of pressure!
I was looking for all the information you mentioned. Thank you for the great information that you provided to your followers. I benefited from it a lot
Definetly appreciate you, i just added it toy cart and will be purchasing it tonight. Thanks.

You’ve inspired me to finally buy one and yes I’m using your links. 👊😍
Great review! Do you know if you can attach a longer extender wand then 33". I have drain gutters that in some spots are probably 20' or more.
Hey doc! Thanks for the review of these products! Do you provide any links for the 30-33" extension wand?
GX is commercial grade and GC is residential grade
I need a pressure washer to clean my asphalt before an annual slurry coat. Should I use the surface cleaner accessory?
I’m looking to power wash playground equipment once a week. Is the newer one in this video big enough and built tough enough for that once a week use. In your opinion.
can you clean your cars and trucks successfully with the smaller pressure washer?
Thank you Doc!! Ordered the smaller Simpson (as I have lots of steps), extension wand, and Karcher surface cleaner with pump saver. Did my whole property in an afternoon that would normally have taken 2 days!

Thank you for this valuable information, I've learned alot and it's cool you are providing your knowledge for free, you seem like a great dude!
Doc, you sure you can tun bleach out without damaging the pump? I ask cause most manufacturers say it will damage it
I have a Simpson 3400psi 2.4gpm. Has the AAA pump. I use it every weekend washing my cars and other odd jobs around the house. It’s been awesome It looks like your 3200 washer.
trying to buy the SIMPSON Cleaning PS3228 but amazon do not give you additional warranty as an option
Going back and forth if I want to buy an electric or gas power washer. Some of the higher end electrics have just as much power as the smaller Simpson you are showing without the hassle of dealing with gas and oil with a lower price tag. Is there really a benifit to buying the gas motor?
I have a 3000 psi 2.4 gpm Simpson with a Honda motor, plenty of power !
Can you tell what material is the pump made out of ?
Doc i have a briggs and Stratton i believe its a 2800 psi 190cc small unit just started this so out of no where it started smoking white smoke,a lot of smoke through the carbulator and i researched and aparently it was that it had too much oil so i took the oil out and put new oil in it Tried it and it doesnt smoke a lot but i wouldnt trust it for a 2 or 3 hour job,i will try it out in my home to see if it smokes, but any ideas what it might be?
Hello, what is the best pressure washer for comercial use?
Gm Doc why so many negative reviews on the hose extension hose
Thanks for the great video - are there electric versions that are just as good or comparable?
So is there a limit on length of hose for the wand? unable to find that info out on simpsons website
Just got the 3200 Simpson pressure washer used it once for my patio. The next time I used it, week later, when I turn on the water there is water leaking from pressure hose connection at the motor, thoughts?
Any idea why the 3200psi unit can’t be sold in California?
Great info. Any chance you’ll review electric models? I know you’re not a fan of electric but it’d be nice to get your take.
Thank.
That's a Great question my friend.
Heads up. The Links to the products mentioned aren't working on the website.
They're working now.
Will this get rid of tire marks and oil marks
Great review, helped a lot. Can't seem to find the 33 inch extension wand. Could you provide me with a link
Doc question for you. Travertine dry stacked pavers. pressure wash or not to?
30 second cleaner first... see if that does enough. LIGHT pressure if you do.
@@HowTowithDoc thanks doc.
I have a Stihl pressure washer RB 600 at 3200 psi/3 gpm, I want to use a surface cleaner on my deck and not sure what pressure to use, I have an adjustable regulator and a pressure gauge I added and did not want to damage the wood. Thanks kindly.
Any particular brand of pump saver for the AAA pumps???
Hi Doc. Thank you for great review. Have a quick q about the Karcher surface cleaner. can it be used for a Simpson 3300 PSI at 2.4 GPM HONDA. If not, could you possibly recommend one for 3300 PSI. Thanks for your detailed review and helpful tips

I have the smaller version and I want to start a small business over the summer , will it still be effective after using it several times ?
Doc, the apex of my 2-story vinyl sided house is about 34 feet off the ground. What are my options to clean? I know Simpson sells a “2 story valve kit”, maybe this? Concerned about buying a pressure washer and it not working on the entire house.
Wondering if you or anyone else in this thread could tell me if there is a big difference in these 2 models? First time buying a gas pressure washer for home use.
- SIMPSON MegaShot 3000 PSI-2.4 GPM
- SIMPSON Cleaning MSH3125 MegaShot 3200 PSI Gas Pressure Washer, 2.5
As of today, the first model listed above comes with a surface cleaner at Home Depot for $389 and the 2nd model is $449 by itself (without the surface scrubber). Just trying to figure out if the 2nd model is really worth it. Anyone know how much of a difference in power do you get?
Can the gc do a 2 story home ?
Do you use your pressure washer to wash your vehicles?
I just ordered the Simpson MSH3125 Megashot. I currently have a Craftsman which I hate. I’m looking forward to trying the new one. I hope your recommendation’s correct because we power wash for almost 90 hours a year at our house.
Hey doc, great video. What brand of pump saver do you use? Thanks.
Why did you choose to buy a different hose and not use the one that comes with the pressure washer?
I bought the Simpson pressure washer (Honda engine) I’m trying to figure out if it’s a downstream injected came with wand & hose & different heads got wand plus the concrete driveway disc. Haven’t used it yet I can’t wait. That’s my question should I worry about chlorine or chemicals going into pump should I buy something plastic for the chlorine?
I’m Canadian I payed 899$ before tax
Dude your video is very helpful I appreciate this & im sure u appreciate my comment I put out dash cam footage on tiktok but haven’t moved to TH-cam yet I’m on the fence
one more cuestio doc my simpson 3200 psi estart to get oil out what can i do?
Hi Doc, I have a question. On the amazon page the photos of the model that has the GX200 engine shows 3200psi on the control panel. On yours it shows 3300psi on the control panel. is there a difference? I did go to the link on the video. I am planning on using this for commercial use.
The listing is correct not the photo. 3300
Howcome when I try squeezing the oil into the pump it don’t seem to go in? I have a royobi 300 psi
Is there a certain amount of psi to clean red clay stains off of brick?
Does it matter if the garden hose is 5/8” or 3/4”?? I feel like the thicker hose is better to cool off the pump but I have no idea. What do you think? Please respond
Either will work no issues.
Just the video I was looking for. Thanks for the review
Is that 3200 a mega shot?
Hi Doc, What is your opinion on the Kohler Engine vs Honda? I only need the MSH3125 equivalent. My local Sam's club is selling a Simpson MS61124 3400 PSI, 2.4 GPM with Kohler SH270 engine for $339.00.
I’m really glad I found you. Great videos. A guy that “knows stuff “ is rare. Thanks Dan
You're 1000% correct. Excellent video.
The best accessory for the water inlet is a water hose quick disconnect. I have them on all of my water tools,
I bought the 3300 psi but water won’t come out with pressure and the oil leaks where the smoke comes out and it’s new I’m really frustrated it’s my first machine
Doc, I have been looking to purchase a pressure washer for general cleaning of the house and cement driveway and I keep seeing this smaller unit at the top of many lists as one of the best. We have a UTV that we were going to be cleaning dirt and mud off with the pressure washer. Is the 3200 PSI too much for something like this even using the higher degree tips? Thanks
Should be fine... just keep your distance. The DISTANCE is key when cleaning vehicles.
what is the difference between a megashot and powershot power washer does anyone know?
Well done video, my complements Doc. 2500 psi @ 3 gpm is the perfect range, any more proves nothing for most users. I totally agree, Simpson builds a nice machine and good quality hoses and accessories. The pricing on the triplex pump machine is very good considering it’s got the better engine and a detachable handle. You’re right on with the Must Have accessories too.
I bought the pressure washer, and it works great. That little extender accessory with the spring around it came apart during its first use. No biggie. The Karcher works good but make sure you get it from an American supplier because its made in America. Im waiting a long time for the one coming from China.
I am so close to pulling the trigger and getting one of these power washers but I have read a lot of the reviews on Amazon. Most of them are good but there is a few that do not speak highly of the customer support. Do you support that claim? I saw a lot of bad reviews on the Karcher surface cleaner, but got one anyway.
What about ryobi pressure washers ps or what would you suggest i have a honda 160gcv. my pump gave out and i can' get one
your website links are broken, went to order stuff but wasn't able to use your links
I use one to keep my construction equipment clean. Mud (plenty available here in N. MS) gets caked up in the tracks so I use the 4000 psi unit. Simpson is great!
