      Yeah the soda blasting worked very well (and didn’t make toooo much mess!)

    Opinion seems divided on whether the cold start valve should have the gasket you made (be a shame to waste that excellent effort though). I've got two of these and neither had an internal gasket. After trying normal fuel hose between carbs I went with clear vinyl tube, just so I can visually verify that the cold start valve is passing fuel to the back! Nice shiny carbs!! 🙂

      Oh, interesting. I definitely removed a gasket from there, so makes sense to put one back! I was going to get some lawnmower / chainsaw fuel line (which is similarly thin and transparent) to join the two carbs. That'll be a little way down the road yet though.

      @@redfoxclassics sounds excellent! A gasket can't hurt :-) My clear hose has gone yellow from the petrol ;-)
