It's a difficult shaped bonnet when in good condition, but trying to reshape it with rust and possible accident damage is no easy job. well done you to get it looking good. Have a good week. Bob
Hello I think you are well on the road to success with this GT6 bonnet. I suspect that no two will be the same and agree with your plan to tack it and get it on the vehicle. Then tailor it to fit. Well done so far and thanks for taking the time to film it.
Oh right, might have to go and have a look at that! Your custom airbox looks an interesting idea, got a mental note to go watch those too and see how you’ve been making it.

In the words of Radiohead... Jigsaw Falling Into Place... good perseverance, I like your hard wire approach to getting the 3-dimensional aspects in place.
I’d prefer ‘no surprises’ but little chance of that with a car restoration project! Thanks, the wire jig idea did work out well, and I’m really lucky I’ve got the Spitfire for a bit of a sanity check too given what’s missing from this bonnet.

Thanks Bob, yeah it’s not the easiest, but getting there.

Thanks! Yeah it’s one of the things I like about bodywork repairs, in the end if it looks right it is right.
Definitely a puzzle. I had to make similar repairs on my mk1 bonnet.
