DANNY JOE BROWN BAND Easy Rhythm Guitar Lesson (Southern Rock)

- A go to Guitar Store Southern Rock Riff, for me. And easy to play!
Taken from the lone album by the Danny Joe Brown Band, released in 1981. Recorded during his hiatus from southern rock legends Molly Hatchet.
This is my take on the rhythm guitar parts only - the fantastic lead work of Bobby Ingram, which can be heard on the studio album is NOT included in this easy to learn video.
Thanks for watching, as ever.

Hey folks, it you want to see how the parts go in the song, the cover I did is over on my other channel here: th-cam.com/video/PUYHFzqFPfs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=n52GqD5IZXFkhnX0 Dunsy
Great lesson. Thanks for continuing to dig into the deeper grooves of southern rock.
Thanks buddy, always a pleasure to share this stuff.
We like it the easy way Duns. You keep em coming.
Thank ya sir 🍺👌
I had never heard about this album. He was so good with MH. May he RIP
Thxs Buddy!
Absolutely - super talented. Love MH - and this is a damn fine album too.
Cheers for this Dunsy! Not only a great guitar lesson but a reminder... Growing up my Dad was a big fan of Molly Hatchet and I forgot Danny did a solo album.
Definitely worth checking out, Sir. Great songs and some killer playing.
I LOVE this album. I remember its release
Yeah, really good album. Great tunes and great playing.
Ha! Brothers from another mother! I’ve been on a Hatchet kick and here you are doing a Danny Joe lesson. I have that album also!
Ya gotta love that fine Southern Rawk!
Awesome stuff Dunsy…I remember sitting in my bedroom for hours on end trying to work out “flirtin” “gator country” and “whiskey man”…good times 😎
Fantastic band!
Heavy grooving Florida swamp funk🌴
Thank ya!
Loved Danny Joe brown
It's a great album, some killer guitar playing and crammed full of great tunes.
Hello from Brazil ☕️ Fantastic performance. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎸🎸
Thank you very much!
Thanks mate .....have a great weekend
You too, sir 👌
I do love a tasty southern rock lick !! Nice one mate !!! Another big fave is that Awesome Intro on Rock Me Baby by the great Johnny Winter !!!!
Oh yes, that's a killer!
What a great riff I’ll be using that one , cheers mate , great lesson.
I use it in every guitar shop!
Dunsy,
Ive got all the Molly Hatchet albums but not that solo album So will now have to find a copy now👍🍺
Love me some Molly Hatchet 🪓
Superb stuff, Dunsy. I’d never heard it before, and now I can play it. I might use it myself next time I’m in a guitar shop 😀. Keep these coming. These are the best lessons on TH-cam. Just subscribed to your other channel, too.
Nice one! Because it’s not a well known tune, you’re probably gonna get asked to join a band if you’re riffing that one in a shop! “Here, that Andy boy cannie half write a riff”, is what they’d say up this way 👍😎
@@DunsysGuitarWorldha ha! If anyone ever asks me to join a band I’m buying you a beer! It’ll be thanks to these lessons and playalongs.
Hey Dunsy, now have (southpaw) Firebird (copy) and am playing this song from the original, with solos and all..... grrreat stuff... using your riffing as a guide saved some time... 👍
Nice one! Brilliant that yer Rockin a Firebird 👍. You should do a lesson on the lead guitar on this one - I could do with it!
Great lesson once again Dunsy. I found myself naturally doing away with the open G and playing it on the D string which also put me in position for the power chords. It's probably wrong by the record but, as you say it's for fun and open to interpretation. It certainly got me in the zone though and I enjoy playing along.
Cheers again 😊
Thank ya buddy - yeah, 100%, people should play stuff how it works for them and how they think it sounds best. Guitar should be fun and entertaining (and easy!).
Nice! 👍🏻👍🏻
I expect to hear this on a guitar comparison video soon, Sir!
@@DunsysGuitarWorld Sounds like a plan!
Great riff... need a firebird for that though....
Would sound brilliant on a FB!
Thought you'd go for Edge of Sundown. The version on this album is better than the one on MH's Double Trouble
Great tune. Yeah, I will get around to that one at some point - I didn't actually expect this one to get more than 100 views, tbh!
