- Great White's debut album "Great White" was released way back in 1984. Their most Metal album for sure. In this lesson I'll show you the easy way to play 5 riffs from this fine album.
As ever, this is how I play the riffs, I make no claim that it is correct as played on the original album.

Saw great white at the Marquee in London in 87 while staying in Finchley, out for a burger in Leicester sq and some dude was handing out flyers for the gig, thought we'd pay a visit, fiver at the door, best fiver spent in 87, just loved the bluesy guitar rock style from the band.
Nice one! Yeah, I think they're a great band - whether it be the HM of the debut or the later blues based stuff.
They were a cut above the other hair metal bands of that era, they could really play and had a great singer. Their cover of “Face The Day” is stellar, what a great riff.
Oh yes, brilliant cover - two great bands.
I saw Great White supporting Whitesnake in Glasgow. I remember the gig was rescheduled from December 1983 to 1st of March 84. A busy 3 months of gigs in Glasgow in 84. Scorpions, Gary Moore, Saxon, Marillion and Whitesnake. They must have thought we were made of money. That was a lot of ginger bottles I knew I had to collect.
Lol, aye ginger bottles indeed!! I think Priest/Quiet Riot was in December as well?
@@DunsysGuitarWorld That's right. That was my first Priest gig. Would liked to have seen them earlier but you can't have everything can you? I saw them at the Edinburgh Playhouse a couple of times too.
AWESOME video! Great idea buddy. Can't wait for the next one.
Cheers Ben - classic 80's Heavy Metal on this one, for sure!
Dunsy,
Another excellent Idea for a series and video👍🍺
I don’t remember that band but enjoyed the lesson Thanks 🤘🍺
Cheers DL, yeah I thought that this might be a helpful one for folks.
Saw them way back when…great stuff sir!
Some classic soundcheck riffs there!

Cool story on this album Dunsy! You really have a great collectuion of awsome vinyl records! Great playing as always !!Very good lesson that you gave to us on those songs.
Hope you're well mate!!!
Thanks Christophe - appreciate ya checking it out. Hope you're well, my friend.
Crackin! I wasn't really into their more blues-rock stuff at all, but this album and the ep were great. I'll be giving these riffs a go!
Yeah, definitely a more European sounding Metal on this one.
@@DunsysGuitarWorld I hear Scorpions and early Def Leppard in there for sure, and the vocals remind me a bit of Dave King on those first couple of Fastway albums. There are some early Ratt vibes too though. Regardless, great stuff.
👍🏻👍🏻
Thank ya, Sir.
great band i always thought there better than guns n roses🙃
Great band, for sure.
