- Many choices in this game. If you choose, there are quite a few Sith that you can turn down a better path. Yuthura is a great example of this, as she seems to be a real victim of circumstance. Kind of like Bane, in a way, I guess.
Anyway, if you talk to her about her past, Yuthara can become your friend, and it is then possible to make her rethink her current allegiance to the Sith, after completing your Sith trials on Korriban.

Wow...I didn't know this was possible. This is what I love about KOTOR, even the minor characters have a bit of depth.

I always found it really jarring that when you kill both teachers and leave the tomb suddenly you are a traitor to the sith. by their ideology, wouldnt killing your teachers basically put you on the honor role? I mean the whole idea of the sith is that power determines your station, so when you leave the tomb wouldn't it make more sense if the students wanted to learn from you? or at the very least want to kill you to increase their prestige?
+davo46 Me too. I just got through playing KOTOR again and now that I'm older and pay more attention (I was a kid the last time I played.) I was kind of confused.
I just played through it last week, the reason the whole academy turns on you if you kill both is because they think that if THEY kill you THEY will become the master. Too bad for them I single handedly slaughtered everyone in there. (:
And neatly displays the problems with the Sith at the same time - you can't get anything constructive done if every day you have to fend off mass attempts at assassination.
I guess they're all so hopelessly greedy that their minds have basically stopped working. Even the lowliest worm will be like, "shit, this is my chance! I SHALL BECOME DARTH SQURIMIUS!"
It makes even less sense considering you are Darth fucking Revan and you ARE their superior even before killing them.

I LOVE the character development in this game. I never expected her to actually still have good left in her. But this threw me for a spin and it was awesome!

not only can you turn her back to the light but if you complete the planets in a certain way, she will be on Datooine and you can visit her with some extensive dialogue. Most assume she is never heard from again but its not true. She rejoins the order and meets up with her old master. She still has confliction but sounds like shes making effort to stay for retraining..
+Blazer Hell not necessarily.. yes datooine is destroyed but you don't know who survives. The Jedi masters show up in Kotor 2 so obviously they survived.
Also Yadira Ban might be a possible ancestor.
Jeez, there is so much shit I miss in this game, no matter how many playthroughs.
A lot of it is due to glitches. I don't think I had a single playthrough in which I completed everything, simply because some quests (especially companion ones) tend to be moody, and will appear on one playthrough and won't on other. It's a roullette. Same goes for some romance options. Sometimes they work properly, sometimes not, nothing you can do.
One of my favorite Sith characters from this game. I had no idea this was an option.

I like how she salutes by "May the Force be with you" at the end, instead of the Sith equivalent "May the Force serve you well". Well done.
The sheer awesomeness of this game never ceases to amaze me.
This game has soooo much story and development that there are alot of different ways to defeat an oponent and either change or leave that person to the dark side its soo cool
After all these years of playing this masterpiece, I’m still seeing unknown depth to all these characters, all these.. choices you could make along your journey. Absolutely incredible, thanks for sharing!

She should be a companion if you kill Juhanni
until this vid, i never played this part of Sith training to get this branch of conversation and ending for Yuthura. Thank you for showing us how amazingly complex ans sophisticated the original KOTOR was

Doubt you'll see this BUT thank so much for your videos they've really helped me to find some this games deeper hidden secrets and have been super useful! I cant wait to play KOTOR II soon

Haven't tried the recruit Yuthura mod, yet. I don't really enjoy silent party members. But I'll check it out one of these play-thrus! :)

@@comicsans1689 u sure? Pretty sure it wouldn't be a mod, considering that Bastila actually has voice lines on Korriban. There's probably a way to get her onto Korriban in the base game, otherwise Bastila wouldn't have any voice lines.

And about Korriban: for different reasons. Bastila was just afraid of being recognized (because some of those Sith WOULD recognize Bastila, but apparently NONE of them knew what Revan looked like. I guess Revan liked to keep a mask on even BEFORE you turned to the dark side. *sigh* doesn't make sense.)
Kreia was more afraid of the power of Korriban itself.

She kinda reminds me of Fenris from Dragon Age 2 (btw also Bioware game). Both were slaves, both can be "converted"under certain circumstances (Fenris can be taught to tolerate mages) and both are my favourite minor characters

its a mod where you can make items w/ the workbench on the Ebon Hawk and those robes are called CUSTOM BATTLE ROBES (BLACK)
@kusindan There's probably an answer somewhere in the comments given how frequently the question is asked, but I wondered that too. When I landed on Korriban with Bastila, everybody agreed that she should stay on the Ebon Hawk since every single Sith in the galaxy was searching for her and knew exactly what she looked like.

I honestly tried but I couldn't get her to open up to me so she didn't become my friend and when the time came I sided with her only to find out that she was going to kill me so I restarted from the previous save and took on both her and Uthar with 30% health and no health packs

Never ever knew about this whole Yuthura redemption path, this is very very nice.
So in this alternative her tale is somewhat like that of Anakin.. she thought she could use the Dark Side to do good but in the end she succumbed to it and freed no slaves whatsoever. Skywalker had the same idea about saving Padme.. but using the Dark Side he met the same fate, and in the end he quite failed to achieve the original idea, just as Yuthura.

The Jedi Council reprogrammed me into a Soldier/Jedi Guardian character with zero skill in persuasion. When I talked to Yuthara, she only told me about how she escaped. I couldn’t make her budge about how she became a Sith. Then, after doing the tombs and clearing out the cave, BEFORE I told Uthar about my progress, I went back to her one more time just to try it one more time and it worked first try. Is this pure dumb luck, or does completing tombs give you a higher chance of dialogue success with her?
Yuthura sounds a bit like Anakin there
See how often Revan used the 'persuade' dialogue choice when talking to Yuthura? You have to select this option when speaking w/ Yuthura to get her to relax and bond w/ Revan. In order for these persuade dialogue options to be available & to work, the player has to pay into the persuade skill when leveling up. You've got to increase your persuade ability almost every time, if not every time you level up, in order to have enough persuade skill to turn Yuthura from the dark side. Good luck!

my favorite is still owning the academy. if you do korriban last and your DS you can side with the master and kill yuthura and he will recognize you as darth revan and says when you return i will follow you (not those exact words obviously)

Ok, two things I'd like cleared up;
1. Does poisoning Uthar affect whether or not this succeeds?
2. What's the minimum number of persuade skill you found you needed?
Just starting to get back into this game for the 3rd time, and starting to uncover more of the insanely large number of side quest options. (Scout / Consular for a change) =P
The Bastila part is a mod. If I remember correctly I think you can redeem Yuthura. Go to Kotor Files on gamefront for mods. Google kotor files.
If they made a KOTOR mode where you could redeem anyone from the dark side of the force, but you could only redeem it once per game, who would you redeem?

Absolutely. With better graphics, additional side quests, costumes, and items, and bug fixes, nothing would be better than a KOTOR 1 remake.
to have bastila on korriban, youmust be using PC and you can get a mod that allows it. The option thing, I don`t know.

When Juhani began her training, she had little peace because of her parents and the Mandalorian slaver, so she fell to the dark side before being brought back by Revan.
I feel that way when I go to other people's houses as I'm a guest in their home. If you decide to violate that, I decide to withhold my respect for you. I just won't put up with people who won't be respectful. Most people around here like me because I show them respect because they show respect for me.

How did you get Bastila to go to Korriban? She stays on the ship, she literally says that she can't leave
@hqndersA Mod but you can do it without a mod on the pc version. Look up how to enable cheats on the at some site like gamewinners ect and you can just use the warp cheat to take her.
