- Revan is on a quest to stop Darth Malak, his former apprentice. While on the way to turn off the disrupter field, Revan runs into Bastila Shan, who now has turned to the dark side of the Force and has been waiting for him on top of the Rakatan Temple. She is there to stop Revan, but then decides to pledge yourself has his apprentice and lover. In this video, Revan gives in and reclaims his lost identity.
This 2.0 version is to give you a better video quality than the one I made a year ago. I was never pleased with the original's quality and have been meaning to make a better one that runs a lot smoother like this one.

I remember this dialog the first time I played through. I stopped dead in my tracks as I realized the game was truly going to allow me to ascend my character to the mantle of the dark lord of the Sith. I even said out loud: "This... is SO cool."

@@undeadwolf5844 Oh yes. I slaughtered Malak as Bastila turned her Battle Meditation on the Republic forces. Then the game ended and I went back to my regular job though.
and now look how pathetically weak and corrupted nowadays games are - the SJW's narratives and narrators would NEVER give you that kind of choice that was given here- from their point of view they would only allow you do do what they want you to do - there would be NO choice like it was given here - In essence the older games were so much better with writing and plots - the new soy ones are just pathetic shells. Imho it was great that you were allowed to choose a path whatever it might have been - light or dark - the important thing is that it fitted with your own vision on how to play and what seemed right or wrong - TO YOU :)

The best thing about this moment for me was that I was nearly 100% Light Side but this dialogue turned me instantly near 100% Dark Side. It was so cool!
I was partially corrupted at that point after Korriban,then turned 100% DS with the Sith Logo
I was 100% lightside... After this dialogue I became neutral :(

Mass Effect 3 was a good game just the ending wasn’t what people wanted.

Or allow an attractive Jedi padawan made famous for killing a legend, whose power is growing exponentially such that she could kill off both Juhani and Jolee singlehanded, to drop to her knees and call you master thus strengthening your mutually beneficial bond
Furthermore, the former would make it more difficult to destroy the Star Forge for which you get a thank you and a single piece of metal to wear and the latter would give you a realistic chance of boarding the SF, defeat Malak and take command of an Infinite Fleet.
Such a difficult decision.

I first played this when I was little. I chose the darkside but had to take a walk outside with my dad after killing most of my companions because I felt so sad lol
Alright, as awesome as it is, you have to ask yourself just exactly what is the likelyhood that Bastila will do as all Sith apprentices try, and slay their own master later down the line.

+bubbajoe117 Actually, this was *way* before Darth Bane, the establisher of the 'Rule of Two' that pretty much codified the 'Apprentice shall *always* eventually try and backstab the Master' thing...though, the Sith habit OF doing this is probably what lead Bane to *create* that doctrine to begin with, so your point still stands.
Though somehow I doubt Bastila would pull a Malak and backstab Revan (Malak resented Revan for being more powerful than him, AND being Master instead of Malak, plus, even as a darksider, Bastila *still* says she's in awe of Revan's power in the dark side of the Force, PLUS, at least in this playthrough, she openly confirms that as a Sith, she would be free to feel, to experience the love she had developed for Revan, that her Jedi training would otherwise have forced her to forego).

Yeah. Sith have had couples too. Both Revan and Bastila together are unstoppable. Bastila with her Battle Meditation and Revan with his powers, charisma and strategic genius. They wouldn't try to turn on each other. And besides, they both love each other.
Good god. could you imagine an army infused with battle meditation being led by Revan? Not even superman could stop that shit.
God, I remember how betrayed I felt when I saw Bastila in those Sith robes because I knew that she had turned. How brainwashed she was just twisted the knife. I feel like there hasn't been a single RPG that's achieved the level of depth that KOTOR did, and made me care that much about a character, and it's a shame considering how much more is possible ten years later.

Always bugged me how the "dark side" was always just evil. Darkness and Light are not necessarily good and evil. You could argue that the Jedi were quite evil in the prequels, but it's always glossed over.
I liked the thoughts of a Sith in SWTOR about that. According to him the Dark side is about individualism while the light side is about collectivism. Light side followers give up on their own person in order to concentrade on the greater society sacrificing their own interests for the sake of the interests of others. While a dark side follower concentrates on themself and their own interests, sacrifing the interests of others for the sake of your own. Thats why the Republic is much more stable then the Siths empires but is also the reason that single Jedi can be seduced in relativly easily. One just has to tend for their very own personal interest a little to pull them to the dark side. Anakin is the best example, palpatine just had to tend to his personal feelings like love and pride to pull him away from the light side, which demands that you must give up personal feelings.

The problem with doing that is there is a bug in the game. If you talk to Bastila after the kiss asking about what happened between you two, a bug deletes the romance globals in the game and thus you will not have this scene when you confront her.
Yeah, it sucks, so if you want to see this for yourself, kiss Bastila and don't talk to her again.

I love KOTOR so much and the story is so epic ! Bastila Shan is one of my favorite characters and when you could redeem herself from the dark side .

@SohnvonChristus: The problem is after you kiss Bastila, you're asking her about what happened between you two. There is a broken dialogue piece when choosing that option and it cancels out the romance quest. Aren't bugs nasty.
So what you do is after you kiss Bastila, never talk to Bastila again and you will get this scene you see in the video.

You either enter with both Jolee and Juhani or just Jolee, provided you killed Juhani back on Dantooine. Jolee can't be skipped as a squad mate anywhere earlier in the game and he can't be killed up until this point either.

Jolee, Juhani, Mission and Zaalbar are all Fools. They would rather die then join Revan. They say the Dark Side is evil. But Good and Evil is a point of view. Oh well, if they truly would rather die, and be "one with the force" and have some "honorable death" that's fine. The Sith have no problem giving them exactly what they want. They are fools, there is no honor for the dead, but only for the living. Darth Bane and Darth Revan both knew this. Honor is earned by Killing a Worthy Adversary.
Juhani didn't look like that when I played this game on Xbox. She was a cat creature.

FYI: If someone is still wanting KOTOR III, that probably means they're not into TOR.
I used to think the Darkside would be the better ending to choose. But ironically enough, making a gameplay composed with half of the game's Darkside options actually made choosing the Lightside ending feel far more rewarding. I felt like I was creating the proto-Separatist movement. I was filled with pride.
Still, in the second game, I'm gonna say I was a Darksider, because I think half the choices I made would make lots of people distrustful of me, twisting my story a little. That, and I think my Revan is more prone to let his old persona out, even after leaving the Sith behind, so I imagine I had more company when going to the Unknown Regions. Thank you One for giving me your army. Me and my companions will use it well.

If you go without Jolee, Bastila lashes out on Juhani and says "Shut up Juhani, when you felt the power of the dark side you fled to a cave like a cowering animal. You know nothing of the force"
That's because Jennifer Hale thought it was a good idea to speak with a British accent when voicing Bastila. Jennifer Hale also voiced female Jaden in Jedi Academy as well.

Well, if you like having the best possible defense, a single bladed lightsaber if your thing. You can always have the Force Speed power to add extra attacks-per-round if so desired.

@grgwdrd: You're half right. The change to the dark side was automatic. I had my character on the verge before I filmed the scene so when I made the choice to join Bastila, he gets enough dark side points to make the change. It was purposely set up for this video.
That's why you can spot it happening live. Notice there is no cheat console showing the change? ;)
