I’ve been an on and off again arena player. Currently on. 6 standard legal sets a year is just a lot. Sooner or later I’m going to fall behind and be an off again player I think.
I totally get that. I think this channel is what keeps me on again. My best advice is to find a comfortable pace, and take breaks when you need it. There's no reason to chase your tail for the honor of someone's idea of completeness.
Disappointed with the llorwyn change because I never got to play the original and wanted to experience that plane. New cards are new cards so I am happy wherever they come from. I don’t mind playing necrons in MtG, so UB is fine with me.
10/29/24 I'm not seeing any daily deals in the store, just "No deals currently available. Check back tomorrow." Anyone else? If you have deals today, can you give me a couple of examples of what's on sale? I can't remember if you already own something that's on sale, does it leave it out or show it and say "Purchased"???
Too...Many...Cards...No matter how they try to spin it as a positive, it just feels like they're trying to force people to buy more cards from more sets. At what point do they finally overwhelm their customer's willingness to keep spending more and more money? First it was 3 year standard rotation, and now this? Who are the customers that are saying "hey Wizards, we want more sets/year?" Answer: no one. Wizards is just trying to create demand for all of the product they're putting out. This is bad news for all standard players. As a F2P Arena standard player, the resources I can grind from the game are basically fixed, but now I'll have twice as many cards I'll be chasing so the F2P economy gets a lot worse. I guess Wizards doesn't care about me, since I'm not giving them any money and my decision not to feels more-and-more like the right one as time goes on.
I agree, it is going to put a strain on F2P in particular. I will be recommending a focus on Foundations for the next 2+ years, and supplementing with other Standard legal sets based om individual interests.

I am really looking forward to Lowry. It's merfolk mill was one of my favorite limited archetypes of all time.

They tend to hide deals you already own. I think it's a bunch of different islands 🤷
