Years ago I had a Renault Kangoo EV with the same 120 mile range and it was hopeless travel 30 miles from home and you get scared.... Not knowing you will be able to return. The clue is the 16" wheels and no 240V socket. The Advance has PS4 tyres, and that alone would have been enough to beat the e208 on track but the extra power would have put some distance in too. Considering it was up against the GT, it's an unfair test but I blame Honda because they should have supplied an Advance. Their PR dept needs a serious rethink.

    • @davidwebster3948

@@Chester-UK if you look carefully at 3:06 you can see the dash and steering wheel, with the 220v socket peaking out, the heated steering wheel button on wheel, and the parking pilot button on the dash which only came on the Advance model. As for the wheels, my 2020 E Advance came with 16" wheels for some reason too. I'd say the combo of skinnier wheels and the weight of the glass roof had a big part to play in not getting around corners fast enough.

I can't get my head around car designers changing ideas that have been around for decades because decades ago, they knew it was the best way to go.
So Pugs over the steering wheel dashboard.
    *Pathetically pointless.*
But it's OK if you're a _certain_ height. And unless you are that height, then it doesn't matter what you do, you'll never see the dashboard properly. But if you can see it, then the steering wheels in totally the wrong place.
My missus is five foot nothing. And that's on a good day. So she'd never be able to get the steering wheel low enough to see over it. It would have to be removable, wireless, and resting on her lap*.
    * I just hope I've not opened up a can of worms and some designer is now thinking, _"Hmmm... A wireless steering wheel that sits on the drivers lap? And you wouldn't be able to steal the car without it. An interesting idea..."_

hmm... I have P508SW II and I absolutely love its iCockpit... so much that when I drive my other car with "normal" steering wheel, it feels like I'm driving a steamboat 😋! also, my missus is 1.6 m high and has absolutely no problem with dashboard visibility and neither have I (I'm 1.75m).... all that with having the seat not even nearly jacked completely up, or the steering wheel lowered into the lap.... in fact, in my sitting position I still have over an opened palm of space left between the steering wheel and my legs!!! all that with having sitting position practically "by the book" (legs, back, arms position and angles of and between them..)
to be fair, the steering wheel feels and is a bit lower than in "normal" cars, but mainly because of its smaller diameter.... its axis is not that drastically lower than the axis of "see through" steering wheels! so, from my first-hand experience, I don't really understand what you are talking about...😌
