oh WOW, how weirdly awesome that game is. It starts slow then gives you some action, then goes slow again, then its basically slow forever until you get some awesome armor, then its just slightly less boring... i guess im not playing it right or something

Boi. I remember RuneScape was absolutely amazing, I played it in 2006-2007 then I forgot about it for a long time. Then I discovered it again and found out it took a turn for the worse

Forgot to mention COD4, or earlier titles. Despite all the mainstream hate on modern Call of Duty, their earlier games were definitely influential on the FPS landscape in the early days.

I knew about COD4 but it wasn't as popular on the PC as it was on the consoles.

As much as listing games published over the years is history, I think the earlier videos were a bit more focused on what special the games brought to the table.
How about Age Of Empires 1 (1998 but still) and their sequels? I'm really liking your channel btw :)

You mentioned that Rainbow Six: Lockdown was the first release in the franchise and it wasn't hardly. The first Rainbow Six game was released in 1998, along with it's expansion, Rogue Spear.
Debating on giving a thumbs down just because you said to "if you hate life" but I don't hate life, but it made me life. This is a nice, informative video but is more of a list of mega rad games rather than a history. Still a good video. Maybe do a video series of the history of pc hardware because that'd be interesting, even though it was slightly covered in previous videos and very briefly mentioned in this video.
IMO you should do a really deep search when doing this kind of videos. Where's halo, Age of empires and ALL OF nintendo games? Gaming is not only YOUR personal faves + any other thing you remember at the moment. I hope you remake this series covering all the info that it's missing. I know it's mega difficult to cover it, but you skipped A LOT.

You didn't mention Morrowind, or Warcraft 3? Come one Warcraft 3 is by far the most important game of the decade. Not only is it the best RTS of all time. It spawned WOW, and the entire MOBA genre. And it has cinematics that rival modern games.

No Star Wars battlefront or knights of the old republic? The latter set the bar for custom storyline RPGs, being the granddaddy to gigantic franchises like mass effect and dragon age.

Well true I guess. It is just that RTCW was a DOOM 3/ Crysis level (in looks) game for its time that also helped the future of multiplayer games with its classes.
STALKER's AI is still the best. Which is sad.
I wonder about Metro's remediation between mediums though. From the God that is literature to the new kid on the block.

It's basically just because I can, to be quite frank. Sticking with the same case for every build becomes boring after a while.
