@UK Local Business Marketing That's exactly what I did... Granted, she didn't write anything, but she DID give me a 5 star review on Google. Which is great because I don't have a lot on there and someone recently did a bogus review of 1 star and just said, "Worst experience ever" - I responded with a neutral note about how I don't believe we ever worked together, inviting him to explain. I know I've never met this guy before! (sigh) I don't understand why anyone would do such a thing...

What my business uses now is we have QR codes made for google and Yelp and takes 15 secs to do it and been getting a lot more reviews. But your video was really good and informative thank you
Is their a limit of reviews that can be posted on google on monthly basis? I don’t want my clients business to get flagged or anything like that. Thanks Payton
There is not a limit but I have seen instances where too big of a “random influx” of reviews can cause the account to be flagged. For example getting 50 new reviews in a single day. Other than that you should be fine! Remember that consistency is key and getting just a few each day is always better than getting all in one day and then nit getting anymore.
There isn’t a limit, however it is best to understand your analytics in order to track and manage your gains. If you average 7-10 reviews a month and suddenly you +60 reviews in an entire weeks time for example, Google may flag this activity. Use Analytics and systems for consistency!

I have been following your recommendations for the last 9 months. My customers are mostly seniors and its tough to get them to email or respond to a text. Any ideas??
Brenda Berry this is a tough one. Unfortunately online reviews are more of a “younger persons game” but one option I have used is asking them to leave a review while they are still in your place of business and then walking them through the process. Unfortunately, if them don’t have a gmail account they can’t leave a review so in that case, you may just be out of luck. But don’t let that discourage you from sending out requests! Chances are if you are having this issue, so are your competitors so it may not take as many reviews to compete with them!
Hey Payton, I’m curious how you sell this service to clients as a freelancer? Is there a workflow or system that you sell to your clients? Do you handle responding to reviews? What does that look like to a client? Essentially, what value are you giving to your clients in exchange for their money? I’m working on building my freelancing business and want to more deeply integrate this into my service packages. Thanks!
But how to get client number in the first place. If I own store with car parts my clients just come to store or visit website to see what parts we are selling. Asking for a phone number or squeezing unecessary form on website doesn't seem right aswell...
Most stores and businesses ask for numbers at checkout. You can even incentivize them to give their number with a rewards program. Anything like that will work.

Is it worthwhile to get GBP reviews if my business is ecom? We don't rely on local customers.
