I search the web for bad websites. I restyle these bad sites and make a tutorial or vlog of the process. Than I offer the restyled site to the customer and ask if the like it. It's a nice way to build up trust in the process , build up trust for yourself, build connections. I offer sites for a monthly price and build slowly a incoming money stream. Official I'm a window cleaner 🤣😂😂😂 But thanks to Chris Do, Ran Segall and you guys telling me how to, I dream Webflow, Adobe xd and strategy thinking,. we live in a awesome time bro👊
How would you find those websites and how would you know that you are not wasting your time redesigning them especially before making a connection with decision makers?
These videos are gold! I used to be a freelance web designer until I started working for an agency where freelance wasn’t allowed. I made the transition into product design and I’m working now to build a freelance business helping build product.
If your skills are OK, than search your clients and let theme see your valuable skills. Give a small free problem solving thing and the start to like you and trust you. It sounds easy I know but it always works for me. And I m a absolute beginner 😉
This was really helpfull. Pait, when you said "perhaps you want someone to be your manager or entreprenur." My head answered the questions "1: No.. 2: No.....!" - That made it really clear to me that my actual goal isn't to be the "Technician" I'm working as today, but actually lvling up my game and not to be afraid about hiring :) Thanks!
Great tips for becoming a six-figure web designer! Your channel has been an excellent resource for anyone looking to build a successful career in web design. Keep at it!
I am a lead software engineer in my day job and work with off shore resources all the time. so my uncle in law approached me about redoing his residential painting website. 50 pages or so... I think I am going straight to the manager model. lol Come up with a concept and get some one else to do the work and just drive the process to put out a good product ... hopefully i quoted enough to do it all.... The funny thing is my 2 other brother in laws are starting businesses so this might take off pretty quick....
I would take whatever you can get (as long as it pays) and over time you will find the niche you belong in. Until then, take whatever work you can get to get that experience!
Question: Fairly new to web design/development. My question is can you be considered a "good" designer or developer if you build websites with templates?
I think so! Templates are a good kickstart to a project. As long as the websites make your clients happy and get results, i don’t think it matters how you get there. Just my opinion!
How are you a web designer if you are using a template that someone else created. If you really want to charge a premium, I suggest you learn at least CSS/HTML as a minimum.
I got a Bachelor's in Studio Art years ago, but I'm debating either going back to school for a Web Design certificate or learning through online tools and courses. Is it possible to land an entry-level Web Design position without necessarily going back to school? Trying to decide by January. Thanks!
Really great question! I think you’ll find that it is harder to find a job as an employee if you don’t have a degree. With that said, I wouldn’t spend the time and money to get a degree when you can teach yourself everything you need to know twice as fast and dive into the workplace to start making money. The people that I have hired on my team do a fantastic job and I have no clue if they have degrees or not. I have just seen their work and that was enough for me
great content but only helpful to those who are already in the web design freelancing business. For new comers like me it will not be of much use because i dont even have any client at all if you can create a tutorial that explains the step by step process while sharing your screen i think it will be of much better use . I almost didn't finish the video because within the first 10mins i realised the video wouldn't help me in anyway.
I was thinking until I can really focus on graphic design that I would get a freelancer on fiver if a client wants a logo or some extra shit, do you think this ok for now?
For me, graphic design is something I always outsource because it is time consuming and not as scalable as web design and marketing services. But it depends on what you love to do! I think either way as long as you are delivering great work, it’s fine to find someone on Fiverr to fill those gaps!
Nobody asks for a 50k website unless it is extremely custom and in that case they would work with real professionals with real developers working for them instead of 1 man band companies who does jack of all trades things.
I have clients she has new brand of supplements how can I offer her for her business, she did tell me she need help with SEO , but what else I can do for her?
again thank you! I'm working to transition from IT Support into a Freelancer, I've done a few sites $0 this really helps a lot!!!!
Excited to see what you accomplish! Glad you found this helpful!

Will somebody be able to live as an ONLY Webflow based web designer?
Absolutely!
