We took our GX460 brand new from the lot OFF-ROAD. People always say "nobody takes a GX offroad" -- NO, _YOU_ never took a GX offroad... lol... GXs have always been on trails new off the lot.. going back to the GX470... they were new and offroad out here in SoCal and ubiquitous
Massive W for Lexus with this one. The outgoing GX460 doesn't automatically lock the center diff in 4L so thats nothing new, but it is nice to keep that flexibility.
When discussing the upgraded HP and Torque. No one mentions how much larger this new GX is vs last one. Width. Height. Length. Weight. It’s as big as the outgoing LC200. With less HP
I don't see the color at 14:40 anywhere on the configurator. Anyone know what it is? Looks like the Toyota lunar color....Hope they bring it as a normal color.
Looks like Incognito with the black onyx roof, if you look it up on google images "lexus incognito gx" it does it more justice than the configurator. Configurator makes it look silver lol. Paint changes a bit in different lighting
Best review ever , thanks about this vehicle everything is good but 3.5L Turbo engine is to much its big with twin turbos , 2.4 Turbo with Hybrid assist engine should be perfect but Toyota /Lexus thing only to differentiate purpose with LC250 they have added this .
does this come with turn assist ? the rear inside wheel locking for tighter turns on dirt. ill never understand why toyota is marketing the Land Cruiser Prado here as THE Land Cruiser and completely closing the door to one day bringing the Land Cruiser 300 here. I get why they use the opradoi for the GX platform, they use the 300 for the LX , but ion the Toyota side this makes no sense.
Needs more physical buttons (ie for the heated & cooled seats, AC etc). Real wood trim on the steering wheel should be included too. Winner otherwise.. way better than the new LC imho ❤
Love this review and hope to see more reviews of vehicles and their capabilities. Please go back to do more car and truck and suv reviews and not all this weird things you show. I miss the good full reviews and also the negatives on vehicles
The days of these Toyota vehicles being simple, reliable and cheap to maintain, along with easily becoming a 20yr plus member of any family are over. These have been reduced to a unreliable and unaffordable to maintain and repair along with Land Rover and any American sport ute are over . It's over complicated and over technologically a nightmare to own . This will be a joy to own for a few years then people are going to dump them in droves . I saw the Americanization coming a few years ago and the days of good ole fashioned Toyota being reliable forever are leaving the world and if it saddens me . I miss the old underpowered built like a tank and lasts twice as long are going to disappear. After 5 or 6 years these things will be junk . I promise nobody will ever be excited to find one of these babies in auto trader 10 years old and barely broken in 😢

This new GX is awesome. I wish they had used the B58 but I'm sure there's a reason they didn't.
Reason #1: because its a Toyota and not a BMW with a Toyota badge.
Reason #2: the middle of nowhere doesn't stock bimmer parts if something fails.

Pretty certain its the incognito color, just the tint of the video makes it look a tad more green.
