Hunter crying when Luz called him family was such a short scene but probably my favorite out of this episode. For someone like Hunter, having no family and really severe trauma, having someone actually say “I care about you” and that he’s considered family was so important for him to hear Also, it was awesome to see their friend/sibling relationship developed a bit more. Hunter and Luz kinda have some shared trauma now because of Belos, and she knows exactly what he’s been through. I was really hoping they’d touch on that and not JUST his friendship with Willow and Gus and I’m very glad they did
I love how Belos was a menacing threat in this episode. Lots of people were worried he'd be undermined by the Collector now that he's here, but, nope, we were reminded why Belos is the series' real main antagonist, and why he's such a chilling villain.
I know. People always seem to under rate Belos as a villain but the guy just gets better and better as the show goes on (and more reprehensible as well!). Really hoping he is the end game villain.

He truly believes that, wiping out the witches of the Boiling Isles will benefit the human race. Dude's an honest to goodness threat, thinking that he's being the hero here.
The collector is going to be a threat but he is not the big bad of the show I don’t get why people don’t get that they wanted another bill but we’re actually getting something way better in my opinion
I know Dana wants us to not focus on the bad, but man, it was difficult to not look at some scenes and say “Oh this would have been expanded into episodes.” Or “This scene would have been an entire episode.”

Luz and Amity creating that coming out powerpoint together? Camilla getting to know Luz's friends, or Luz learning how Vee enjoyed the human realm (and summer camp!) So many cute moments we lost to the time-skip!
I absolutely loathe how completely surprised I am that Disney allowed one of their animations to explicitly say "bi" and show pride flags. This should just be everyday stuff at this point, but I'm still shocked they acknowledged it. Kudos to whoever on the Owl House team put the liches running the corporate side of Disney in their place long enough to get that through.
What really sucks is how in a full series they could have used Luz finding out about the relationship between titan blood and her magic and used that to find the blood rather then needing any mcguffin.
Flapjack died at the hands of Belos, being Caleb's murderer who was Flapjack's sorcerer. I can't imagine Flapjack's feeling of hatred towards Belos and how sad that he died at the hands of him but managed to save Hunter by being the closest thing to Caleb he had ever seen. I am saddened by his death but we all know that Belos will pay for what he did, everyone ends up doing it.
Also the new lore... Belos said "Goodbye, Evelyn" when he was about to kill flapjack which opens up a ton of theories on how flapjack and evelyn are connected

Oh I didnt even think about Camila and Bump talking. This needs to happen now after the Camila deep dive. Like imagine her shock when a principle likes Luz to such a degree that he cries when Amity's mom force the explosion.
I so want the show to end with Bump convincing Camila to let Luz attend Hexside, it'd make such wonderful bookends with the start of the first episode.
You didn't mention it but did you notice that after Flapjack sacrificed himself for Hunter his eyes changed to be brown like Flapjacks were? I think that Flapjack merged with Hunter, he's a part of Hunter now. Especially with how he said "let's go home Flap" before going in the portal. Thinking about that part makes me tear up so bad.
well, in hollow mind we saw that the palismen consumed by Belos stayed inside his mind. Maybe with Flaps' sacrifice he is inside hunter's mind forever.
Dana said they just go with the flow when it comes to the story which is insane (and smart) because this episode should get the heat of Camila…. People always say she was bad in episode one but this makes her SO relatable... She cared, regret, and protected Luz… But was suggested from the principle.
I was SO scared in the moments between Amity walking through and Vee handing Camilla the bat, that the portal was going to close and separate them. I also adore the slow version of the outro in the final moments. The outro (season 1 in particular) is just so cozy and nostalgic that hearing it over such a quietly powerful moment brings a tear to my eye.
i know there's Plenty else that happened this ep but I haven't been able to stop thinking about how many pride flags there are everywhere. Does my heart good to see the kids are alright etc, I really never could've imagined a show like this coming out when I was a kid
There's bit of a theory that Camillia acted a bit strange because all the cosplay gear that Gus and Hunter are playing around with are actually Manny's, her husband's. which makes total sense, it's all male cosplay stuff and explains where Luz get's her love of fiction, especially since the Azura books are the last gift he gave to her.
I actually think all of the sci fi stuff they found was hers and she freaked out because she "used" to be a "weirdo" like Luz but society forced her to be normal. I think Camila is the path of if Luz never went to the demon realm
My theory is that Luz with have a snake related palisman especially since snakes are a symbol of rebirth due to their ability to shed their skin and Luz had found a shed snake’s skin when she was younger and camila has it framed in her room. There was actually a lot of snake symbols and even the owl in the owl house title has the same shape as a snake head
Yeah, I'm not confident enough to call it and I won't hold it against them if they do something different, but I really feel the Snake thing and I would be very happy if they did that.
Flapjack’s sacrifice might lead to him “living on” inside Hunter, since Belos had all the palisman souls in his mind. Another reactor brought up a point that I like: Hunter deserves his own palisman. Flapjack was a very good boi but Hunter isn’t Caleb, he’s starting to come into his own identity. Hunter even mentions wanting to learn how to carve palisman when fighting against Belos.

While she isn't going with them, I do hope we can see Vee again, because I loved her in this episode. This episode alone made her one of my favorite characters alongside Eda and Amity. Also may I say that seeing more Camilia is going to be great and having her meet Eda one day is going to be amazing. Also, rip Flapjack, and kill Belos for doing that.

As someone whose regrettably been on both sides of the bullying in my life, its SCARILY accurate how the principal is portrayed. Just dumping all the blame on the victim, instead of making the effort to separate Luzs disruptiveness from her status as a victim.

The montage at the beginning made me so pissed at Disney for robbing us of a full season 3 because it looked so fun and amazing and cute and more words to describe non-existent content. Like, this probably would’ve been my favorite season of any Disney show and maybe close to my favorite season of a show ever but it’s never fully happening and that’s really shitty to me. We never saw their amazing summer TwT

Luz talking about how her dad left her the book hit me hard. My father never got to leave things for me and my two sisters. I... Got the brunt of seeing him die. He was sick and slowly lost control of his body. I shared a room with him while we live with my Grandparents. I still use his comb every day. It's my connection to him after all these years. It's what I latched onto because of an unconscious want to stay connected. My sisters got Final Fantasy from him, heh, I only ever watched them play. I forgot the point I had here, I just felt I had to share.
The fact that Hunters eyes are brown after Flapjack sacrifices himself to revive him makes me hope that Bill’s right and he gets to live on (in one way or another) through Hunter
I am a mother of an autistic child. I can heavily relate to Camila. I just want what is best for my child while nurturing her unique creativity. That's hard in a judgemental world. Camila is doing her best. So am I.
Luz's whole "But I AM applying myself" speech really really speaks to me. As someone with both adhd and autism this is something I struggled with from the moment I entered school, and even struggle with now even after graduating high school. Even in settings and situations unrelated to school. I truly am applying myself and doing my best, I just...can't quite do it the same or as well. I dunno, I can't really put it into words.
I think the reason why Camila was so weird with the Star-trek books is because they hers. Perhaps something she hasnt interact with since her husband death.

This whole episode was amazing. They even stuffed a full half-season of trauma into one special. I'm part joking but part impressed that they did it so well with what time they had
because hunter already knew flapjack was gone when he woke up, i’m hoping hunter got flapjack’s memories when he saved him. also i’m hoping it’s possible that we could get a clawthorne spin-off series or movie of some kind because i think there’s a lot of story there to tell that would be hard to fit into just these last three episodes.
this episode made me realize that it’s actually kind of good that we aren’t getting a new Owl House three weeks in a row. That would absolutely destroy me if we had to go through this over and over again back to back
hokay, I'm hyped for the second video, cos there is SO MUCH to unpack. I'm grateful for how much depth you've gone into these vids. Little things I noticed: 1) I noticed Disney Channel has the episode on TH-cam. And whilst I'm a bit yick about engaging with them, I do love how the episode has nearly hit a million views on there in the last 20 hours. I guess engagement matters. 2a) hunter literally wearing a t-shirt of "there are two wolves inside you". I know it has some connotations that First Nation peeps find squeamish, but considering how much energy Dana is putting into dismantling imperialist legacies I assume that was done on advice from relevant folks. 2b) Just noticed a Hop-Pop poster in the vet surgery when Luz is talking to her Palisman/looking at sketches/is singed by the palisman egg . Also... the Untitled Goose Palisman is on the fridge? 3a) Theere are just.... so many tiny details like HOLY SHIRT the summer scrapbook's first pic is of a Cinema Night. I just clocked what they're watching. What a gag :D 3b) The way Gus... I like how it's ambiguous on whether they know about Hunter being what he is... but the way Gus basically introduces Hunter to the concept of an impostor among the crewmates and then opens up a LITERAL CLOSET feels like an analogy to disclosing who you are can sometimes be hella difficult if you're scared or insecure. (also I paused looking at that closet dangit). 4) Willow and Gus looking at that statue of the Whittebros and being all "....yeah that's a thing". I do feel they both are perfectly aware (hence the sci-fi novel's analogy to the *Captain* specifically figuring things out). 5) Just.... argh, how do you even pack all this in so densely? OH NO BILL Edit: 6) "There's a transport worm every half an hour". BIRDWORMTUBE theory confirmed?! not clickbait groundbreaking!?!???

The Collector and coming to the human realm were added after the shortening. A bold choice and one that is paying off
It's frustrating, I guess is a good way to say it, while watching this 1 hour special. With all the montages, the opening and end credits, scenes that seem like entirely different plotlines from one another, all these old characters brought back or new ones introduced, all the time that passed, etc. It really seemed like the Dana and the crew really wanted to make all of these their own episodes (I feel like if this were an actual season, this whole special with all of what I mentioned could've been at least 5-7 episodes, at most 10), but one guy at Disney just said "no" and that was enough. And they don't even wait a full day to release the whole thing on TH-cam. It's crushing, like a kind of bittersweet. We could've had a beach episode, we could've had a full episode at the zoo, witches at the mall, witches trying human food, reacting to all these human and Connecticut things (I'm from Connecticut, I can confirm or deny some things; one thing that is true, a lot of small towns here have weird local harvest festivals and colonial-era historical sites that are overall not that impressive but have importance in local history and kind of serve like time-capsules, we also have a lot of hospitals and facilities that have really good cancer programs, supposedly some of the best in the world, my mom worked in CTR and the hospital she worked for sent representatives including her to conferences all over the country, I'm assuming that Manny had cancer, that's what it seemed like), Camila with everything, etc.
I think what also makes the Hexide Squad's relationship with Camila all the sweeter is that none of them had a good maternal figure in their lives before. Vee was a lab experiment and doesn't really have a mother Hunter is a clone created artificially too so he has no mother Gus was raised by a single dad Willow was raised by two dads Amity only ever had Odalia, who doesn't really count as a mother figure given how she acted Camila is the first time any of these kids had the opportunity to have a caring mom in their lives
I freak out internally when I watch these episodes but watching you be so outward with your reactions makes me do the same. It's so nice to let all of those emotions out, so thank you for that!!

As a Luz kinnie with ✨family issues✨, this episode DESTROYED me: -the *entire* school scene (as soon as I saw Luz boarding the bus I got instantly terrified) -the Luz diaries have me crying because I also deeply relate to that feeling of not being able to express stuff like that to anyone (thank you Notes App for listening to my rants) -the scene you mentioned (love them sm, they're my fav duo, and yes I took it personally because I read so much fanfic where this happened but I was still not ready) -Camila's side of things and how she was just trying her best the entire time (...she still tried more than my own family did to support me and my bro's coming out lmao) -I saved a Twitter thread on Luz's neurodivergency and related so hard (I almost cried when reading it) -anytime Luz misses her found family... so many more tears
as was pointed out on reddit, we see all of the palimen belos has consumed in hollow mind, so I think the most likely place we see flapjack is if we for whatever reason go into hunter's mind
Phillip extended his natural lifespan from the 1600's to the modern day by violently consuming the magic and souls of palismans, flapjack just voluntarily transfered the magic to Hunter to revive him. So Flapjack is likely inside of Hunter the same way the palisman chimera was inside Belos, so maybe it could be remade but I would think that would also remove the life extension that Hunter got from the sacrifice
I enjoyed this episode so much. I really wished they had given us a full season to flesh out the build up for these scenes though. I’m no masochist, but you can really feel the potential this could have had if given the love and time. On a side note, Bill; I swear there were so many times that I just wanted to hug you throughout this reaction. Stay strong, buddy. ❤🤗
I really haven’t seen anyone else mention the fact that all the sci-fi stuff in the basement was clearly Camilla’s, her embarrassing past that she wanted to protect Luz from. But it still meant enough to her that she never got rid of any of it. It’s probably how she even met Luz’s father.
I loved how ride or die Camila was in this episode, like, she was ready to get blood one way or another for those kids if that would help them feel less homesick
There's so much to say about hunter's arc in this episode- I cannot even believe they fit it all into 45 minutes. First there was him growing into his own, finding his own self through his support systems. His found family; Willow, Gus, Amity, Luz, and Camilla were exactly what he needed. When he looked in the mirror and said he finally liked who he is, it shook me to my core. It was so beautiful to see him begin to love his true self, he really CONTINUES to be one of the most likeable nerds ever. I love that they gave him a piece of media to become a coping mechanism for him, and a way for him to connect to the world, a way a lot of Neurodivergent people do! It is a parallel to Luz's fixiation with Azura as well. I find it beautiful that they had the 3 Mainly Explicit Neurodivergent character's express themselves through media in this episode, showing how important allowing kids to enjoy media is. But then that leads to him starting the process of being posessed by belos. While in the episode it was seen as a very physical-based posession, I think it can be taken in a very symbolic way regarding hunter's arc. Hunter is an abuse victim, and deals with severe trauma around it. When someone is recovering from any sort of trauma, it is never a linear journey. I find it devestating that through the ONE thing hunter has found himsef in, sewing, is the REASON belos ended up posessing him. Hunter hurt his finger sewing, due to his own careless-ness towards his own health, and that is how belos snuck back up on him. Even when hunter thought he was finally free, he still felt the remnants of the effects of Belos. The world takes amazing people, and screws them over, even when they don't deserve it. This is seriously shown through hunter, and the fact that he can stand up and push through this, and continue to live for those who he's lost along the way, gives me hope and power that I can do the same as well. Not to mention, the fact that when flapjack sacrifices himself he becomes a PART of hunter? That was beautiful, from a storytelling and character standpoint. Oh my god it hurt, but it was beautiful. I think flapjack's kindness is going to integrate itself into hunters personality, and hunter will become a combination of the two. Anyway, thanks for reading my essay! This special was the best thing i've ever seen!

Literally all the possibilities of episodes on them in the human world, Luz coming out to her mom, the giraffes, Vee founding herself, Hunter's trauma and identity, Lumity date. All the possibilties were there, but it didn't happen. I hate it here.

Great video, knew this one was gonna hit like a truck. I'm sour about shortening the season, but the density of story telling is masterclass. Make sure to look up the credits if you didn't see them, they got cut off for me when I watched the broadcast. Cool extra scenes and great art. Some good shipping material as well. Oh, and regarding the best bird, check Hunter's eye color before his possession and after Flapjack revives him. He will always be with him.

You didn't mention it but did you notice that after Flapjack sacrificed himself for Hunter his eyes changed to be brown like Flapjacks were? I think that Flapjack merged with Hunter, he's a part of Hunter now. Especially with how he said "let's go home Flap" before going in the portal. Thinking about that part makes me tear up so bad.

I was SO scared in the moments between Amity walking through and Vee handing Camilla the bat, that the portal was going to close and separate them. I also adore the slow version of the outro in the final moments. The outro (season 1 in particular) is just so cozy and nostalgic that hearing it over such a quietly powerful moment brings a tear to my eye.

There's bit of a theory that Camillia acted a bit strange because all the cosplay gear that Gus and Hunter are playing around with are actually Manny's, her husband's. which makes total sense, it's all male cosplay stuff and explains where Luz get's her love of fiction, especially since the Azura books are the last gift he gave to her.
I actually think all of the sci fi stuff they found was hers and she freaked out because she "used" to be a "weirdo" like Luz but society forced her to be normal. I think Camila is the path of if Luz never went to the demon realm

My theory is that Luz with have a snake related palisman especially since snakes are a symbol of rebirth due to their ability to shed their skin and Luz had found a shed snake’s skin when she was younger and camila has it framed in her room. There was actually a lot of snake symbols and even the owl in the owl house title has the same shape as a snake head
I thought so too! The moment that really hinted it to me is when Camilla set the pallisman egg next to the snake skin, it felt like foreshadowing
Yeah, I'm not confident enough to call it and I won't hold it against them if they do something different, but I really feel the Snake thing and I would be very happy if they did that.
Flapjack’s sacrifice might lead to him “living on” inside Hunter, since Belos had all the palisman souls in his mind.
Another reactor brought up a point that I like: Hunter deserves his own palisman. Flapjack was a very good boi but Hunter isn’t Caleb, he’s starting to come into his own identity. Hunter even mentions wanting to learn how to carve palisman when fighting against Belos.

I bet Hunter dressing as a big red bird early on was foreshadowing for him and Flapjack becoming one and the same in the end.

While she isn't going with them, I do hope we can see Vee again, because I loved her in this episode. This episode alone made her one of my favorite characters alongside Eda and Amity. Also may I say that seeing more Camilia is going to be great and having her meet Eda one day is going to be amazing. Also, rip Flapjack, and kill Belos for doing that.

My father never got to leave things for me and my two sisters. I... Got the brunt of seeing him die. He was sick and slowly lost control of his body. I shared a room with him while we live with my Grandparents.
I still use his comb every day. It's my connection to him after all these years. It's what I latched onto because of an unconscious want to stay connected.
My sisters got Final Fantasy from him, heh, I only ever watched them play.

I am a mother of an autistic child. I can heavily relate to Camila. I just want what is best for my child while nurturing her unique creativity. That's hard in a judgemental world. Camila is doing her best. So am I.
Luz's whole "But I AM applying myself" speech really really speaks to me. As someone with both adhd and autism this is something I struggled with from the moment I entered school, and even struggle with now even after graduating high school. Even in settings and situations unrelated to school. I truly am applying myself and doing my best, I just...can't quite do it the same or as well. I dunno, I can't really put it into words.
I think the reason why Camila was so weird with the Star-trek books is because they hers. Perhaps something she hasnt interact with since her husband death.

because hunter already knew flapjack was gone when he woke up, i’m hoping hunter got flapjack’s memories when he saved him. also i’m hoping it’s possible that we could get a clawthorne spin-off series or movie of some kind because i think there’s a lot of story there to tell that would be hard to fit into just these last three episodes.

this episode made me realize that it’s actually kind of good that we aren’t getting a new Owl House three weeks in a row. That would absolutely destroy me if we had to go through this over and over again back to back
hokay, I'm hyped for the second video, cos there is SO MUCH to unpack. I'm grateful for how much depth you've gone into these vids.
Little things I noticed:
1) I noticed Disney Channel has the episode on TH-cam. And whilst I'm a bit yick about engaging with them, I do love how the episode has nearly hit a million views on there in the last 20 hours. I guess engagement matters.
2a) hunter literally wearing a t-shirt of "there are two wolves inside you". I know it has some connotations that First Nation peeps find squeamish, but considering how much energy Dana is putting into dismantling imperialist legacies I assume that was done on advice from relevant folks.
2b) Just noticed a Hop-Pop poster in the vet surgery when Luz is talking to her Palisman/looking at sketches/is singed by the palisman egg . Also... the Untitled Goose Palisman is on the fridge?
3a) Theere are just.... so many tiny details like HOLY SHIRT the summer scrapbook's first pic is of a Cinema Night. I just clocked what they're watching. What a gag :D
3b) The way Gus... I like how it's ambiguous on whether they know about Hunter being what he is... but the way Gus basically introduces Hunter to the concept of an impostor among the crewmates and then opens up a LITERAL CLOSET feels like an analogy to disclosing who you are can sometimes be hella difficult if you're scared or insecure. (also I paused looking at that closet dangit).
4) Willow and Gus looking at that statue of the Whittebros and being all "....yeah that's a thing". I do feel they both are perfectly aware (hence the sci-fi novel's analogy to the *Captain* specifically figuring things out).
5) Just.... argh, how do you even pack all this in so densely? OH NO BILL

Some interesting information I learned today on tvTropes: the Day of Unity was going to be the season 3 finally. The Collector and coming to the human realm were added after the shortening. A bold choice and one that is paying off

It's frustrating, I guess is a good way to say it, while watching this 1 hour special. With all the montages, the opening and end credits, scenes that seem like entirely different plotlines from one another, all these old characters brought back or new ones introduced, all the time that passed, etc. It really seemed like the Dana and the crew really wanted to make all of these their own episodes (I feel like if this were an actual season, this whole special with all of what I mentioned could've been at least 5-7 episodes, at most 10), but one guy at Disney just said "no" and that was enough. And they don't even wait a full day to release the whole thing on TH-cam. It's crushing, like a kind of bittersweet. We could've had a beach episode, we could've had a full episode at the zoo, witches at the mall, witches trying human food, reacting to all these human and Connecticut things (I'm from Connecticut, I can confirm or deny some things; one thing that is true, a lot of small towns here have weird local harvest festivals and colonial-era historical sites that are overall not that impressive but have importance in local history and kind of serve like time-capsules, we also have a lot of hospitals and facilities that have really good cancer programs, supposedly some of the best in the world, my mom worked in CTR and the hospital she worked for sent representatives including her to conferences all over the country, I'm assuming that Manny had cancer, that's what it seemed like), Camila with everything, etc.
I think what also makes the Hexide Squad's relationship with Camila all the sweeter is that none of them had a good maternal figure in their lives before.
Vee was a lab experiment and doesn't really have a mother
Hunter is a clone created artificially too so he has no mother
Gus was raised by a single dad
Willow was raised by two dads
Amity only ever had Odalia, who doesn't really count as a mother figure given how she acted
Camila is the first time any of these kids had the opportunity to have a caring mom in their lives
I freak out internally when I watch these episodes but watching you be so outward with your reactions makes me do the same. It's so nice to let all of those emotions out, so thank you for that!!

As a Luz kinnie with ✨family issues✨, this episode DESTROYED me:
-the *entire* school scene (as soon as I saw Luz boarding the bus I got instantly terrified)
-the Luz diaries have me crying because I also deeply relate to that feeling of not being able to express stuff like that to anyone (thank you Notes App for listening to my rants)
-the scene you mentioned (love them sm, they're my fav duo, and yes I took it personally because I read so much fanfic where this happened but I was still not ready)
-Camila's side of things and how she was just trying her best the entire time (...she still tried more than my own family did to support me and my bro's coming out lmao)
-I saved a Twitter thread on Luz's neurodivergency and related so hard (I almost cried when reading it)

Phillip extended his natural lifespan from the 1600's to the modern day by violently consuming the magic and souls of palismans, flapjack just voluntarily transfered the magic to Hunter to revive him. So Flapjack is likely inside of Hunter the same way the palisman chimera was inside Belos, so maybe it could be remade but I would think that would also remove the life extension that Hunter got from the sacrifice
I enjoyed this episode so much. I really wished they had given us a full season to flesh out the build up for these scenes though. I’m no masochist, but you can really feel the potential this could have had if given the love and time.
On a side note, Bill; I swear there were so many times that I just wanted to hug you throughout this reaction. Stay strong, buddy. ❤🤗

I really haven’t seen anyone else mention the fact that all the sci-fi stuff in the basement was clearly Camilla’s, her embarrassing past that she wanted to protect Luz from. But it still meant enough to her that she never got rid of any of it. It’s probably how she even met Luz’s father.
I loved how ride or die Camila was in this episode, like, she was ready to get blood one way or another for those kids if that would help them feel less homesick

There's so much to say about hunter's arc in this episode- I cannot even believe they fit it all into 45 minutes.
First there was him growing into his own, finding his own self through his support systems. His found family; Willow, Gus, Amity, Luz, and Camilla were exactly what he needed. When he looked in the mirror and said he finally liked who he is, it shook me to my core. It was so beautiful to see him begin to love his true self, he really CONTINUES to be one of the most likeable nerds ever. I love that they gave him a piece of media to become a coping mechanism for him, and a way for him to connect to the world, a way a lot of Neurodivergent people do! It is a parallel to Luz's fixiation with Azura as well. I find it beautiful that they had the 3 Mainly Explicit Neurodivergent character's express themselves through media in this episode, showing how important allowing kids to enjoy media is.
But then that leads to him starting the process of being posessed by belos. While in the episode it was seen as a very physical-based posession, I think it can be taken in a very symbolic way regarding hunter's arc. Hunter is an abuse victim, and deals with severe trauma around it. When someone is recovering from any sort of trauma, it is never a linear journey. I find it devestating that through the ONE thing hunter has found himsef in, sewing, is the REASON belos ended up posessing him. Hunter hurt his finger sewing, due to his own careless-ness towards his own health, and that is how belos snuck back up on him. Even when hunter thought he was finally free, he still felt the remnants of the effects of Belos.
The world takes amazing people, and screws them over, even when they don't deserve it. This is seriously shown through hunter, and the fact that he can stand up and push through this, and continue to live for those who he's lost along the way, gives me hope and power that I can do the same as well.
Not to mention, the fact that when flapjack sacrifices himself he becomes a PART of hunter? That was beautiful, from a storytelling and character standpoint. Oh my god it hurt, but it was beautiful. I think flapjack's kindness is going to integrate itself into hunters personality, and hunter will become a combination of the two.
Anyway, thanks for reading my essay! This special was the best thing i've ever seen!
