Kenny Fabio it was just unlucky. It was in automatic mode and cruising around and it just switched up one gear the exact moment before matt floored it.

That G-class is actually insanely fast. It weights 1+ tons on the rest, it's aero is literally like a brick, specially compared to those eggs, and it still almost wins the drags.
It's stopping distance is also pretty impressive considering all that was said. It also costs more than the other 3 combined, but that's to be expected, from a legend.
And it's have extra 200hp

BMW has been enjoying a good run of form lately, The Xdrive seems to have done the trick bcos BMWs used to be bad whe it comes to 1/4 mile standing drag races.
and yet is exactly why i'll never buy another one.... 4wd is for tractors and farm machinery...... ;-)

10 years ago BMW’s X-drive was a joke of an AWD system, now it’s on par and in some environments even better than Audi’s who had the best AWD system for year. Subaru’s was also class leading for a while

I agree that's is one incredible 4cyl motor vw produced and the ability to handle alot more aftermarket tuning
yeah just install a downpipe and tune the vw and you cut off 0.3 seconds off the quarter mile😂

Soft limiters are just strange. I get that they would put it on a normal car, but on a performance one you should be able to rev it out while stationary.

Audi's got officially 4.5 seconds 0-100, when T-Roc 4.8 seconds. How it is even possible? 🤨
Because seconds doesnt matter in race, troc can reach 100 in less range, if the car is going back on race it means it has reached higher speed in same time but its still behind, because seconds doesnt matter at all

My biggest take from all this is how IMPRESSIVE the new G Wagon performs. The way that thing keeps up with so many FAST cars while having the aerodynamics is a carton of milk is absolutely insane. Big ups to the G!

@Dee Jay Half my colleagues drive Golf 7 GTIs- theyre literally a dime a dozen here in germany because they're honestly brilliant concerning price and dailyability ( is that even a word). I won't talk about built quality, it's kinda concerning at times

Richard Docherty well the old g63 had the same power and torque, but was much slower.
Never hurts either when you have almost 600hp

Yeah it has the same drivetrain as a golf R and it weighs about the same. I'm guessing it's only a bit less aerodynamic and has a bit higher center of gravity which doesn't really affect acceleration in an awd car. Seems like a really fun car tho, with enough space for a family.

Man that BMW M340i has been killing every recent drag race. I just can't imagine how insane the M3 is going to be.
Bmws really need some appreciation for what they’ve achieved over recent years. It’s been the car brand which shocked and won most of the races featured on this channel, even when they was completely out of its league compared to the cars it was up against. Definitely the best cars money can buy.
If you include the maintenance fees then it pretty much evens out :)
