My wife has her character and those of me and my son, collect every shell that we run across. She will hoard them for almost a year, sometimes, until the Shell Arch is the Hot Item of the day. Then she will craft for a few hours. Last week she sold 300 Arches for 7.4 million bells. Then she will post a message on the bulletin board taunting the Nooklings.
@@mariannehutchinson493 The last one was "Shell Arches? No! GOLDen Arches! Hot Item! 300 Arches for a total of 7.4 million bells! Aren't you Nook boys bankrupt yet?"
@@silviarav_ I do something similar to my wife. I craft and fill Donation Boxes with 99K bells. When they're the Hot Item, the Nook's will pay you twice the value of the box, and twice the bells that the box contains. A little tedious filling them up, but the payoff is massive.
I love that everyone seems to enjoy ACNH again recently! I reset my island three weeks ago actie not playing for a year.. It was bittersweet but I don’t regret it one bit! I can always visit it in the dream realm
honestly restarting my island was the best thing i ever did. i was getting so burnt out on my original island and i grappled with the idea of restarting for a long time and i'm glad i finally decided to. i was able to get an island with the town square and airport lined up like i wanted, apples as my fruit which was one of the two i really wanted, and i found an island i was pleased with aesthetically so i only have to do a little bit of terraforming (excessive terraforming is a BIG reason i restarted in the first place, i get way too overwhelmed with it). after not playing the game for months, i now play almost every day because i enjoy being on my island.
i have 1500 hours on my island and mostly play for an hour or less per day (i play a lot of other games like Stardew and even American Trucker Simulator) but i still get on and do my daily's every day. i also like just walking around my island and remembering when i constructed certain areas. my basketball court is my favorite. 😎
I too love my isle, I can't even restart and lose all my stuff, I just couldn't even though I have the worst airport color of yucky green. My dream address is DA-7959-3829-5228 Feel free to check it out.
In Happy Home Paradise you can also talk to villagers on the beach who’s houses you’ve already decorated and they’ll give you items you used to decorate!!
I love restarting. I’ve been playing about a month on my most recent restart. I’m not using treasure islands or time traveling. Fun how different people enjoy this game in different ways
I just restarted p! I was on the fence for the longest longest time but I’m finding it such an adventure and it feels brand new. I caught fish that I didn’t catch last time. I’m getting recipes I didn’t get last time it just feels like bought a new game so I’m really happy I did it.
Personally I love setting myself impossible challenges like flooding my entire island, having all the photos of my villagers. It's strange but setting goals helps me a lot to enjoy playing ACNH
I've got almost all the pictures now and I'm working now on making all the diy's (I'm very goal oriented, lol) and I'm finding I don't have them all! 😲
@@mariannehutchinson493 You're right, it's as if we were creating side quests. I have friends who are trying to finish the game 100%, they've been trying for 4 years and still haven't finished
Thanks for posting this video as I believe it really does help a lot of people get back into the game 😊I’ve taken a break from AC but am hoping to start playing again even if it means flattening my island!
Something new I’m doing is trying to commission art for every fish and bug. It’s fun because some of the art surprises me and ends up being a great addition to my island.
It was the Animal Crossing Subreddit where a 77 year old shared her island and when I reached out as a fellow oldster she shared other dream addresses… and that got me back into ACNH again with a second character… and I’m loving it again! I must have nearly 1000 hours in now. My son told me if I ever restart my island to be sure to send him all the treasures and he’ll store them on his island till I need them. 😊
I don’t understand how anyone can get bored of animal crossing… there’s literally a ton to do and having the dlc and online gives you even more opportunities
Im still fine tuning things like making my water custom codes match the river colors better, making my island easier to navigate without getting stuck in jump in-cant just leave tho spots, and working on my color theory :)
My burn out solution is start a new island I love the dopamine rush of getting achievements and building up my island. Part of the fun for me is collecting everything to design my island instead of just levelling it an redesigning. I’m on my third island now. Love doing it.
I could never restart my island. It took me sooo long to get Lolly. It was harder for me to get her than Raymond (who just popped up in my camp). I would be devastated to have to hunt for her all over again.
Thanks for all of these tips/tricks for Bob's Gang! I still play ACNH every day, making sure I get the 4 DIYS I can get on my island (I only need 1 more DIY!!!). When I'm in the mood/have the time, I will do a Kapp'n tour or go to the Archipelago. Really want to do more HHP...hopefully I will be able to start doing that, soon! (have a non-gaming project that I'm almost done with...then more gaming time!)
just reset my island and regret it at the start. but now it is a great decision i wish you could just make a new island or be able to start with the story unlocked so you can just start to terraform
I have gotten burn out just recently. I still do dailies, talk to my villagers, nook miles, money tree, buy I took a break on decorating. At night after work I play something else and I get new ideas and inspo from other games. Getting ready to start again, my poor villagers get their houses redone constantly. Bob's Gang
i’ve had 3 islands in ACNH since release, my first island is forever lost in the void, only able to visit through dream address, lost it when my original switch broke, my second island my son deleted when my bf got me the legend of Zelda OLED switch for christmas, and now after 200 hours i hit 5 stars on my third and hopefully final island, but i kinda hate the design. i’m burnt out though and i don’t know what to do to make it something id like
I restarted my island and I so regret it. My museum was completed and I had so many DIY recipes. If it wasn't so hard to re-acquire all the DIY's, it wouldn't hurt my feelings so much.
I restarted 3 weeks ago and decided to just do a Normcore island. I don't have switch online so I just use the in-game paths and I don't time travel either. I also don't do any terraforming/waterscaping because it stresses me out too much that I end up ruining my island and hating it. Best decision I've ever made.
It took me about two days to flatten my island, rebuild my own cliffs just to lose inspiration all together 😭 i share the island with my sister so restarting isn’t an option unless we get a new switch lol
While I wouldn't want to restart my own island I kinda would like to restart the happy home paradise island. It doesn't look like the inhabitants can move away anymore so if you filled each home with two inhabitants that's it. You can't get any more new animals and you only could redesign already existing houses.
Flattening my island was the worst mistake I ever made, I was so unhappy with my island that I restarted it. i still havent gotten everything back yet lol
You don't even need to actually partake in the stretching to collect reactions. Just start it and then put the Switch down for a while. I got the rewards for doing stretching a certain amount of times by letting my character just stand around while I took a toilet break.
I really want to start a new island so I can get a layout with the rivers not being so problematic, but I’ve been using the same island since launch, I don’t want to loose all my progress. Curse Nintendo for not letting us have more than one save file.
Oh, also, if you have another Switch laying around and a copy of the game, why not try out a new island? You still have access to your old one and can play either anytime, but you can also try to progress through the game again! Maybe even try a challenge to make it more interesting?
For me the problem is, everything goes so slow. Only five items a day, DIYs you do not get soon and items and the Cranny and Redd is soooo repetitive, so I got bored because I do not get new things and I do not want to trade online constantly.
Oh, I am not burned out. I just want to create a wonderful place for my villagers... too bad they have been replaced by cardboard cutouts. Why should I build an Island if the characters that call it home are little more than window dressing?
