An easy way to catch wasps is to always hold a net when shaking trees. Stand right in front of the tree and make sure there is nothing where the wasp nest can land. Your character will immediately turn to face the wasp as it spawns. Then simply press A to catch the was since your net is already in your hand.
Stand away from the tree 🌳 if a wasp nest falls out because trying to catch it you might end up shaking the tree 🌳 again and getting stung by the wasps
@@Mark_Hawkins-33I've never had this happen. Your character turns to face the wasps when the nest falls out of the tree, so you won't be facing the tree unless you turn manually.

This may have been mentioned but there is a foolproof way to never get stung by Wasps ever again. Carry your net and always shake trees from the front. When you find a wasp nest, the game automatically turns you towards the wasps and you tap A and you will catch them every time.
If you want to get through your unwanted villagers faster then never interact with your dreamie villagers, only the unwanted ones. Like if a dreamie moves in, don't introduce yourself to them when they're in boxes. You can enter their houses but just don't do anything to trigger a conversation with them and the same goes with if you see other villagers talking to them don't join the conversation because that would count as an introduction, also avoid delivering gifts if an unwanted villager requests that you do to them. The game only regards villagers you've acquainted yourself with as part of the island and up for moving when the time comes for the game to cycle through them, so only your unwanted villagers will keep getting the thought bubble while your dreamies wont. When you're done with getting all the dreamies then you can do whatever with them. Workbench to quickly craft something, storage shed to put away, get out quickly. And lastly vines. So handy throw up a vine and you can still carry your shovel or any other tool. And if you accidentally while terraforming get stuck, the vines are handy. I do t bother with the ladder anymore.
If you don’t want to get stung by wasps, another option is to go into the ocean. It does require that you wear your wetsuit while shaking trees and being good at running away, but they go away after you get in the water.
The best way to avoid wasps while still having cedar and hardwood trees is this method: 1: Cut down all non-fruit trees. Catch all 5 wasps in this process for the achievement or use party poppers or other methods to avoid wasps. Your choice. 2: Plant 5 saplings and wait/time travel til they are fully grown. Surround these with bushes or fences so you cannot accidentally access them. These will contain all of the wasps, forever, until shaken. 3: Now you can plant any number of other hardwoods/cedars anywhere and never deal with wasps again! You're welcome!
If your villager has a catchphrase or calls you a name that you don't like, you can talk to isabelle and tell her "about the way they talk" and they'll reset to their original catchphrases.
I probably won’t do it but my sister made Flo’s player nickname (the thing she calls anyone, not the personal one) “kid” and that was already weird and now it’s spreading EVERYWHERE
I remember the early days of ANCH, where we all had our friends going island to island every day with watering cans to TRY and help each other's flowers propagate. Now they're more of an infestation and inconvenience than the literal weeds.

Something that I wish I knew sooner if I needed bels in ACNH, I’d get the timer from Nooks Cranny. I think Timmy and Tommy sell it even before it upgrades, but I forgot. It really gets me motivated to catch bugs and sea critters and fish and it works even better if you have a big inventory. I reccomend 15 minutes if you have upgraded your inventory but if you haven’t then I recommend 5 or 10 minutes.
If you don’t want to get stung by wasps, another option is to go into the ocean. It does require that you wear your wetsuit while shaking trees and being good at running away, but they go away after you get in the water.
It’s funny I have the nook shopping app but I barely use it since I have to check into the physical terminal every day for those free nook miles. (That’s also a good tip BTW)
I just can't get over how good ur island is, it is amazing! The issue I'm having is trying to get all the fruit, i have everything apart from the peach and I don't know how i can get it.
On the subject of speeding up dialogue; If you simply hold down the B button, you can use the A button to advance and the additional dialogue will speed up too. Same principle as holding L. Honestly, the fact that golden tools break in ACNH makes them completely worthless in the unmodded game IMO. Not only are they a lot more expensive, taking up the exceedingly-rare gold nuggets, but they'll inevitably break and you can't do anything about it - at least with the non-golden tools, you can reset their durability for the cost of one customisation kit, and no more. On wasps: If you only ever shake a tree while holding your net, and only ever from the south, then the wasp's nest will always land right next to you, and you can immediately use your net to catch the wasp and neutralise the threat. Doing this makes it very easy to catch all five wasps every day, which can be pretty profitable if you sell them to Flick. ...this of course assumes that there's enough room around the tree for the nest to land in an unoccupied space to the south. As long as it falls south, you'll still be in a perfect position to immediately catch the spawned wasp with your net.
Some of my trees have flowers to the south of them, so the nests will bounce. I can still shake the tree, have the nest fall out, and spam A, and I'll still catch the wasp. As long as you stand "below" the tree, it'll work.
💟My best tip to accumulate crafting materials: If you're into villager hunting🎟🛩 (I did a ton for awhile)...anyways, before I go on a hunt, I visit Katrina.🔮 If I get good luck with belongings (which means none of your tools will break), I chop wood and hit all rocks on each Nook Miles island.🏝 It takes extra time, but it's great for stocking up on materials. I have tons of wood, bamboo, stone, iron, clay and even gold.🌲🌳🌴🏔 Never worry I'll run out.🛠😸
Did you know that trees have memory? I was able to manipulate it so the furniture was in the same 2 trees and the wasps were in the same 5 trees. Though, it does get messed up when the trees change for Christmas and Easter.
I made the experience that, if you change your clothes (using a wardrobe) while a villager visits you (and is not sitting on the ground or a chair while you doing so), they will ask to leave your home. If you have more rooms it is possible you have to show your visitor the other rooms before it's working.
On wasps: I have the best luck catching them when I don't have my net out. When the nest drops, the wasps take a second or so to actually start chasing you. I run a short distance north of the tree as soon as the nest drops, then quick-select the net (which turns you southward again) and prep the net to swing. Then it's just a matter of timing. On villagers bursting into your house: while I find this Very annoying, I make sure to talk to them until they give me the item they brought as a present for you. It's generally something like a fruit or common furniture, but that's how I got cherries on my peach island.
16:25 YOU HAVE TAUGHT ME SO MUCH! I just restarted my island and am making it into a fun adventure place for me and my kids to play DnD sort of lol And this is a great idea and so many more! I also just bought the expansion so VINES!!
Well, the transparent pattern trick could help me get the rocks where i want them to be. I would reset my island but i have invested way too much on it. I haven't cracked for the dlc cause i want to eventually just get the expansion for NSO. Never bothered to really look into what else the dlc does for you so the vines was a nice bit to know now.
I never have to worry about wasps because I'm the wasp catching champion. If I was in the PokeVerse I would have all Beedrills and Vespiquen on my team. It really helped me out early on Bell-wise. Them and Scorpions really helped my wallet.
Idk if a lot of people knew this but if your being chased by bees press the button that leads you to the circle with all of your tools and the bees with just fly around you until you press a tool. Idk if this works with the inventory too though
It might be really silly - but for quite a while I didn't know that you could hit a rock several times and could repeat that every day and with the same rock. I thought the only way of getting items was to destroy them. So making progress was reeeeaaally slow for a while as I was travelling around islands, looking for rocks and then destroyed them to get one single resource item from them while also waiting for my own rocks to respawn. I was quite mad at myself when I finally realised it.
The vines fill one item slot in your inventory, the ladder does too. So I don't see what difference it makes. I got the ladder first long before I even could travel to islands with vines and while I keep vines as decoration items and for easy access of places on my own island I will keep carrying around my ladder for when I visit other islands.
I made a shopping district in my island. Just north of the airport i have all my essential buildings, town hall, museum and the two shops are all neatly in a line, so when i pass trough there on my daly chore running, its not so hard to check in on the nook terminal, so i shouldn't be that far away from getting the app.
As I was watching this, I was playing ACNH for the first time in about 8 months. I go through phases with it. I decided to do a Kap'n island and I got the Star Fragment island. I believe this video brought me luck.
I’m so glad he mentioned going after sea creatures to earn bells. I get between $50k and $90k each time I fill my pockets. Which takes are 20-30 minutes at most. You can pay off your mortgage pretty quickly this way for the first few expansions.
When I start a new island, I always time travel back a year from the day I started and then time travel back after the tutorial. That way I get all of the cool Kappa'n islands right from the get go.
Just finished clearing out the island that I haven’t played in like 2 years of the thousands of flowers, turns out the beautiful island ordinance was on for that whole hiatus
Joan gives 30 50 or 100 turnips so it can be very beneficial and theyre free so good way to play the market without losing money if your prices suck and u can’t find better prices elsewhere
It brings me lots of joy and if you already have the Nintendo switch I can recommend it! But if you don’t, I think it is a possibility to wait for the new switch and hope that soon a new game will release (but that still could take a couple years) Animal crossing is a great game what you play in some sort of waves (sometimes you are addicted, sometimes you forget about it) But in the end my island feels like my save space and home (Sorry for making it so long)
Yes I find myself coming back to it time and time again. It can be binged or just played for small amounts of time daily. I take month breaks but I come back with goals in mind like finishing my island after 3 years, getting all the nook mile goals done, and breeding all the flowers
Ok, so it's currently 2am, and i told myself i was off the switch for the night, but then you had to mention nooklink and holy shit that is such a good feature! This is so useful!
I find that if I want a villager to see themselves out of my house, I just have to get changed. If I went to a neighbour’s house and they took their clothes off, I’d leave too 😂
37:17 IMPORTANT TIP FOR RELOCATING WASP TREES!!!! I wish i knew before spending all that time. So I spent a ton of time isolating my wasp trees, and they all happened to be the darker cedar trees. A word of caution: the wasps should be in non fruit hardwood trees, as Isabell decided to decorate 3 of my isolated cedar trees with lights for the Holiday season in December, causing the wasps to relocate.
I've just had a new oled model, I have been changing all my games over to the new console, but my daughter was the main one on animal crossing, so I have restarted the game and want to learn new tricks so I found this very helpful, thank you
Been watching a few of yer vids today and yesterday, kind of in the mood to start a new file/island and see what sort of changes and updates there were since I stopped playing.
I have been playing for around a month and I knew most of those! Not from TH-cam, but the game itself. I read all the dialogues and tips and I knew some of the "obscure" facts!
You previously stated you can get up to 40 star fragments per wishing session with 2 players Dose that mean you can get 160 star fragments per 8 player wishing session?
Can we see through the tourist viewer thing? The binocular thingy that I can’t remember the name of right now 🤣 the thing to the right in your video 😂 16:50
I got the starter villagers Scoot and Flo and i hate how basic their interior house is, so i plan to get the dlc so i can change it to og designs (i am not getting rid of them).
I’m about 5 days in, basically is my goal just to Gain DIYs explore the island get materials and then end game is decorating/ completing the critter log?
If the time traveling turnip consequence is only for the past, could you travel every day through the week to find the best price and then time travel to that Sunday and get turnips and then time travel forward to the good day and time?
If you scan the Sanrio villagers’ Amiibo cards at Harvey’s place, it unlocks all their clothes, furniture, rugs, etc. I think they turn up in the same place as the Mario items in the shopping app.

17:58 Just carry your net while you're shaking trees. You also get bells by shaking trees. When the wasp comes out just catch it.
I cannot believe I didn’t know how to speed up dialogue with L, thank you SO much!!! (instantly liked btw lol)
I never have to worry about wasps because I'm the wasp catching champion. If I was in the PokeVerse I would have all Beedrills and Vespiquen on my team. It really helped me out early on Bell-wise. Them and Scorpions really helped my wallet.
Woohoo!!! right before I have to leave for work, Ive been contemplating picking it up again.
12:39 didn’t all tools use to be invincible or am I remembering things wrong? 😭
normal and silver axe would break but everything else wouldn't break
Something i learned a few days ago is if you push or keep whacking a villager with a net then they start getting mad and ignoring you !
You seem to have mentioned the pipe trick twice on the "pipe secret" one and "mario pipes" one lol
I JUST ACCIDENTALLY LEARNED YOU CAN COVER HOLES WITH GRASS IN CONSTRUCTION MODE 🤯
26:00 Also, if you're in another room when a villager comes in, you can just wait in that other room, and they'll leave, thinking you aren't home
17:50 or you could just switch to the net before shaking or chopping wood? That’s what I do
Just finished clearing out the island that I haven’t played in like 2 years of the thousands of flowers, turns out the beautiful island ordinance was on for that whole hiatus
I learned yesterday that the throwback rocket can be used as a dresser when i noticed it was with the other dressers in my inventory
I still think it’s hilarious that you can change with a fridge or freezer.
Joan gives 30 50 or 100 turnips so it can be very beneficial and theyre free so good way to play the market without losing money if your prices suck and u can’t find better prices elsewhere
They should remake some of the older titles of animal crossing for the switch I’d love to play them I haven’t tried those yet
is it still worth it to play acnh now? im planning on buying it for christmas and play for the first time
Yes cause the 2.0 update and dlc is out
It brings me lots of joy and if you already have the Nintendo switch I can recommend it!
But if you don’t, I think it is a possibility to wait for the new switch and hope that soon a new game will release (but that still could take a couple years)
Animal crossing is a great game what you play in some sort of waves (sometimes you are addicted, sometimes you forget about it)
But in the end my island feels like my save space and home
(Sorry for making it so long)
It’s honestly the best game I’ve ever bought for the switch and the one I’m still playing the most longer term
Yes I find myself coming back to it time and time again. It can be binged or just played for small amounts of time daily.
I take month breaks but I come back with goals in mind like finishing my island after 3 years, getting all the nook mile goals done, and breeding all the flowers
Y E S
The Sasha thing threw my for a loop because I have Kidd on my island and he's constantly talking about designer jeans 😆 His hobby, alas, is education.
Ok, so it's currently 2am, and i told myself i was off the switch for the night, but then you had to mention nooklink and holy shit that is such a good feature! This is so useful!
When you start playing from scratch at December the 1st 😬, guess i will have to wait a while for Kapp'n islands.
I never knew i could move the mailbox!!!!!! Imma try it now
I've just had a new oled model, I have been changing all my games over to the new console, but my daughter was the main one on animal crossing, so I have restarted the game and want to learn new tricks so I found this very helpful, thank you
I can't believe that I've played ACNH for years now and still didn't know this?!
You previously stated you can get up to 40 star fragments per wishing session with 2 players
Dose that mean you can get 160 star fragments per 8 player wishing session?
5:55 bro who sits on the toilet with their pants on
Pants dont matter when you are turbo-shitting through the Nth dimension.
Bob's gang.
Love this
Thanks
Going to start mine all over again using these tips.
I have the beautiful island ordinance and I love the flowers! I don’t mind picking up the flowers so yay❤❤
You can also get cooking recipes once a day from the restaurant in Happy Home Paradise by talking to whoever you selected as the chef.
The wasp tree one I don't think is true because mine always spawn in random trees 🤷♀️
Can we see through the tourist viewer thing? The binocular thingy that I can’t remember the name of right now 🤣 the thing to the right in your video 😂 16:50
Just have 17 total fruitless trees on your island at any given time. 5 will be wasps, 2 will be furniture, and 10 will be bells.
I got the starter villagers Scoot and Flo and i hate how basic their interior house is, so i plan to get the dlc so i can change it to og designs (i am not getting rid of them).
You can escape wasps but running into ur house or resident services;)
Another side-effect of backward time travel (besides rotten turnips) is that all Snowboys on your island vanish.
I’m about 5 days in, basically is my goal just to Gain DIYs explore the island get materials and then end game is decorating/ completing the critter log?
Bob's gang. I really needed these tips, due to being new at Animal Crossing. Thanks so much! Mama Llama
Did NOT know about L speeding up dialogue as well as B. Mind blown.
If the time traveling turnip consequence is only for the past, could you travel every day through the week to find the best price and then time travel to that Sunday and get turnips and then time travel forward to the good day and time?
I didn’t know about Wardell’s shop 😮
If you pop a party popper when wasps come out it gets rid of them!
For the DLC, you can also get flowers from the teacher at the school! Or, at least that’s what happens to me!
You sure about that?
She always gives me bush seeds.
@@psyduckrules I may be remembering wrong. I am not sure.
WHERE DID U GET THE HELLO KITTY STUFF?!?!?!!?!! I NEED ITTT..
If you scan the Sanrio villagers’ Amiibo cards at Harvey’s place, it unlocks all their clothes, furniture, rugs, etc.
I think they turn up in the same place as the Mario items in the shopping app.
16:05 you cna also get a ladder kit from nooks crany
Me: Learns flowers spread… Also me: Proceeds to remove all flowers from Island.
