The problem I have with that one is if you do try to go through it the "right way" you can't because the zombies will eventually tear down so many walls and doors it's hard to know which way you were supposed to go to begin with.
Thats why the pop in zombies and triggers were added. It was so that you can't wake up a whole poi and just horde base them, you have to hit each particular trigger before certain sets of zombies exist and therefore aren't just beating their way through the poi the whole time.
@@brianm.595 yeah but the pathing is so crazy that even if you just do a tactical retreat from a crazy situation they still end up tearing down doors and walls for no reason before you ever find them again.
Little late today but glad there was a video! Keep it up man, your personality is why I keep watching, love the sarcasm! Also, having a horde every 5 days is a great way to get more content in these series. But now its 5 days to die.
I wish that they would buff the pain tolerance perk so that it actually works. The sheer amount of critical hits that players can receive even with PT maxed out is just absurd with the new critical hit mechanic of A21. Same for how armor doesn't seem to do jack all to protect against crits.
That jail POI -- first time I was on the roof and saw the hole, I was like "nope", jumped down, and quick-built a stack of blocks to get out of there, and then just picked them off from the roof. No idea how anyone could survive that otherwise.
I like the desert vulture with full auto mod, silencer and red dot sight. It's a decent gun when you have all the books and can penetrate zombies. Definitely not the best gun, but maybe the most fun to use, along with the pump shotgun.
If you're getting bored, you can challenge your self to speed clears of high level infestations. I'll take a few concrete blocks, some explosives, and set up "pulls" of 1-2 or even 3 floors of zombies. It's fun to see how many I can wake up at once. My favorite strat is to drop a concrete or cobblestone block in front of a door. They'll blast it fast enough, but a zombie wall will form behind it. Place an air filter mine, or two, and wait for the 20k+ experience message. Can also overlap this with contact grenades to quickly/easily destroy entire infestations. Dynamite is for creative minds. You can reassemble POI's with it. You can create an instant "pit" trap for zombies. Let them stack up in the bottom, and toss throwables. I love using dynamite to change the flow of the POI to something in your favor, instead of following the given path. Do the POI normally and they purposely put in zombies to get you from behind. See that wall though? Yeah F that guy. The zombies go where I want them too now!
ive been streaming 7 days quite a bit and made some decent challenge runs that ive been enjoying. all one biome maps, no traders, only one skill tree, 90% wasteland map, etc. been a great way to keep runs alive and going.
one skill tree is one ive been trying to pull off i went for agility for the extra challenge since its pretty close quarters and doesnt have any useful perks for resource collecitng or major progression like intellect and strength
It seems that the fun pimps design POI's around the nomad/warrior difficulty and assume that people that play insane nightmare will find a way to do it smarter, which you did on that last room of the prison. And I think outsmarting a deathtrap is a legitimate way to play when you're on harder difficulties. I remember seeing a video a while back interviewing a developer of one of the hitman games. They said that they didn't even really confirm that levels were possible on the hardest difficulties (with more cameras, more guards, and a nerfed player) but they said they didn't need to worry about that, because the players always seemed to find a way.
There is one spot in this room that will give you a few seconds to catch your breath. A broken pillar in the middle of the room where you land. You can see it at 12:15 in the video. There may be other spots, but in the chaos of a fight it is not easy to spot them. Glock9 was lucky by the way. He accidentally skipped a few rooms. If he hadn't had the chance to restock his ammo and medicine at the main loot, he wouldn't have survived the quest.
the way i survived dropping into that end room in jail is by wearing heavy armor, taking fortbites, grandpas moonshine and health bar, also i was a brawler build so yeah 🙃 the combo makes me invincible but i still end up having every possible status effect applied on me
Idk about y’all but the infested clear red mesa job was absolutely brutal for me on day 48 😅. Took that job after I did higashi in the wasteland with no issue thinking I was prepared to conquer the world (seed) & boy was I wrong lmao.
I tried turrets out with my usual smg run and gun playstyle cause of you and it’s pretty fun. I’m much more aggressive with them when it can be afforded though, literally just placing them out in rooms and dragging enemies through their targeting area. It’s a very nice damage boost when I know a big fight is coming too, cause I’ve started learning fallback positions from experience and 3 mags firing on a group tends to be very good at converting all things to goo.
First time play through here for me. I finally got to tier 6s and this was the first one I tried. The door at 5:16, well, let's just say I didn't complete this one. We go again...
I use the .44 vulture a lot in the prison. Run, and shoot them coming out of a door in a line and the penetration hits several. I burn a lot less ammo.
Maybe try the silencer on the vulture? It'll reduce the number of screamers. You can also successfully get some stealth kills from medium-long distance with it. Most of all the silencer makes the sound more satisfying xD
Every horde night I've been getting vultures and cops both shooting at my base from behind. I was told cops and vultures can see through anything other than a full cube block. I had one base with half blocks and it took a lot more damage than another one that's all mostly full blocks. Then you also get a few random ones that beat on your blocks - they go right for them - like they're already in area destroy mode. Hard to get a base design that won't take damage.
I do very much like the gyrocopter for getting places, but MAN I am an abysmal pilot. That, or it's super finicky. Or possibly both? Yeah, I always go into Agility, think I will try Machine Gunner this time. (Need my Parkour though. Always need that) OOF I sure as Hell won't be doing the County Jail on Infested. Like, EVER. Yikes!
can u make a vid about the best mod in every single end game equipament? (steel/military armor | all the guns | all the melee weapons | drone/turrets | steel pickaxe/shovel/axe | auger/chainsaw | impact driver)
This place is POI is the worst for anyone that even thinks about trying stealth! Wondering if you did the place completely backward if you might be able to avoid trigger points and get more stealth kills? Maybe start around the border and break through fencing and walls. Laser Light Show on the dance floor!
I never drop through the roof on that poi as there is no where to run. Always open it up at the same spot that you did. A thought for a future series as I've been wondering how long you can last if you can't do any crafting...
I've done that room you describe as a T5 regular clear, but never as an infestation. It's doable without the infestation, with a ton of pre-healing, jumping round and lots of auto-shotgun and m60 fire. But adding even a few more irradiated zombies to that scenario makes it feel stupidly impossible. It feels like the devs have a serious disconnect with the experience they intend to offer, and the experience they end up offering.
Love the video, great as always and I always learn something new each time I watch you play...I was wondering if you had 3 or more robot turrets...yes I know only two will fire...if you pick up one to load does that now mean one of the other ones will start shooting? couldn't you also carry 4 and have a ambush set and a fall back set...okay maybe I am over thinking this. Can't wait to see the new base.
I find that the free energy lanterns can be laggy when they overlap. I think it is an issue with the game trying to deal with the shadows they cast. So my rule has been to use as few as possible to lighting
Regarding the final room in the prison, I got some tips from one of the developers. The pillar you land on is apparently not just for decoration, but also as a raised platform where you can get away from the zombies for a few seconds to reload your gun. There are also probably a couple of ways to loop the zombie around. All in all, this is a run and gun scenario. Personally, it took me 3 tries to clear the room and I only play on warrior difficulty. Using exploding crossbow bolts and grenades did the trick for me.
Clearing the room going by the intended path is definitely doable. I've seen multiple streamers/TH-camrs do it who also play on high difficulties. It helps if you have parkour for sure. Also zombies will tend to inadvertently destroy the staircases if you go up there, and once they are gone, you are a lot safer. Not completely, but it takes the zombies longer to get to you and you can constantly change positions between the upper portion and ground level to change their pathing.
@@syphon583 I have seen these videos as well. Yes it is doable but it is not easy and some of these youtubers were lucky. Glock9 for example took a different route and skipped some of the other rooms. Without that he would have run out of ammo and meds long before the final fight. For me personally, the biggest problem is that I'm not very good at this run and gun type of gameplay and I lose my bearings easily. Especially when I am bleeding all the time. In A21 you bleed a lot more than in A20. It took me some time to get used to it.
Im playing insane and did that room pretty fine, im full gear and lvl 160+ so that helps lol but in general you just run around shooting and reloading (hoping you have run&gun perk)
If you, or anyone else watching your videos, ever wonders why settings I might be able to help. If you're on Nvidia, whenever you update your drivers the annoying GeForce experience app will set every game you've recently played to "optimal" settings, regardless of what you want, especially if you've never explicitly told it not to. It's not a 100% fix, but if you install a new game - go into that app, choose the game in question and put the settings to anything other than what they are currently in it. Just change something, anything. Then go into the game and set it the way you like it. This should stop it from messing stuff up, though every few driver updates an update comes for the app as well, and that will sometimes ignore what you set anyway.
Hey IzPrebuilt, don't know if it is a dead game really because it is pretty standard but could you try a playthrough without using a horde base, fortifying a POI, even if you wanted using non-gunpowder weapons - little bit like Daryl Dixon I guess for some inspiration

I cant remember the name of it. but there is a tier 6 tower that you spend the whole time climbing up. you skip the last two floors and have to fall down into a room where when you hit the floor you agro about 30+ zombies that come from all sides. you are in the middle of the building and every door is either locked or has zombies behind them as soon as you open them. it is possible to do. but if they back you in a corner its over.
It would definitely be interesting if you couldn’t upgrade to cement, steel blocks, or even cobble. Horde nights would be crazy especially if it’s every 5 days
With many of the new POIs going the prescribed route is just unnecessarily painful... So I am with you, simply not do it as "intended" but get a better fighting position for these end fights (same for the CrackABook on infestation for example)

More convinced than ever that pistols are just terrible. Something needs to be done to make them worth using past the first few levels. As far as the last round versus tactical reload . . . it's just not enough bonus to make up for the difference. Something more appropriate might be escalating damage from normal up to double as you go through the clip - each round doing more damage than the last.
They're not. They aren't great for crowd control, but not every weapon is meant to do that. He also wasn't spec'd into pistols. Every weapon gets more efficient and deals more damage if you spend points into it.
Totally agree, re: SMG. It's a great gun - and while it's governed by all the same perks and bonuses as pistols I don't consider it a pistol It's really a machine gun. When I am doing stealth builds I like to have the silenced SMG as my "stopper" for when things start to go a little sideways.
I freaking HATE that prison dude. I understand gauntlets are meant to keep people on their feet but how often they spam these awaken triggers is so freaking irritating. It makes stealth completely pointless to invest into. They really need to tone that shit down in A22 or at least adjust the triggering locations. That Vehicle launch bug is so funny sometimes, it's been around for a few Alphas now I believe. At least it doesn't punish you by obliterating your car.
Gosh what is up with the iron sights in this game? It's like a child designed them, then decided, FK it, why not just add a crosshair as well, because we can't decide which is worse...
I love the fact that you complain about Zombies magically spawning in an elevator shaft, but you have never questioned the more obvious fact that you are fighting reanimated dead humans. You should immerse yourself more in the 7DD world and suspend greater disbelief. I play as this is not my world and all the rules of logic in the real world (physics, biochemistry, biomechanical, curses, spells, magic) are gone. Have you ever noticed that our character's full carry load is heaver then the strongest US special forces could ever carry in a Ranger Ruck and web gear? I can bring a ton of lead to the trader on my back (??). Be like the movie "Frozen" and "let it go". LOL. I'm being cheeky and I really like your content. I just love the irony and the contradictions of what you complain about. Hang on... I'm going to jump off a very tall building, but don't worry... I'll take a pill and I won't get hurt. LOL.

Totally agree, re: SMG. It's a great gun - and while it's governed by all the same perks and bonuses as pistols I don't consider it a pistol It's really a machine gun. When I am doing stealth builds I like to have the silenced SMG as my "stopper" for when things start to go a little sideways.
Definitely should bring more ammunition
how do you pitch the gyro down ? when its to verticle.. i cant figure out the gyro lol
while flying in the helqico, which keyboard key are you holding ?
I'm still so annoyed there are no other 44mag weapons. GIMME SOME! like the lever action! Even if its lower damage I'd legit use that.
I would argue that the revolver is a .44. It uses the in-game Magnum ammo. Also there is a lever action rifle. It just uses the 7.62 rounds.
It is very possible to clear loot room in the prison......................On default settings that is
“Today is just gonna be…”
THAT'S MY ARGUMENT ABOUT GRAPHICS TOO

In my mind this series is called: The intellect series (yawn)
If I ever do this poi I’m bring my rocket launcher and all the bombs😅

LOL.
hahahahahahaha
