I wish I could like this a million times. My b/f plays around with stuff like this, but I didn't realize how easy it was until he sent me this video. So much better than the alternative options I saw online!
Oh man, I almost paid $50 for a tappy card and sticker. For a fraction of that price, I'm gonna get me a bunch of these and program then myself. Thank you!
It's business not fraction. You didn't know you pay and now you know how to make. You can do the business as well for others with fair price. Good luck
I’ve been hearing about these NFC tags but assumed they’d be really complicated to setup or wouldn’t work on iPhone. Great video! Quick and answered all my questions 😸
I have been spending more than 30hrs looking for a clear information video to know how NFC works i almost lost the will to know as no one explained it as you did. Thanks buddy for giving very straight forward tips, I'm gonna work on your advice. Viva.
Thanks for the amazing content! I just have a question about the types of NFC card. I bought an RFID card, but my iPhone couldn't read it. I searched a little bit and I think that I need an Ntag-215 or Ntag-216 for it. Is this info correct? Thanks again!
Your iphone won't read NFC after the IOS 15.3 update, it can only read custom URL data automatically (without needing an app or shortcut scripts on the iPhone). You need to encode 2 types of data to work on both android and iOS. Encode a vcard as normal for android, then encode a URL containing the VCF file for iPhone. The android will scan the vcard and the iphone can only scan the url - this is the only way I know of to make it work for both sides.
I’m reviewing this method to use the recommended NFC app + Amazon sourced NFC cards. I’m wondering if the blank NFC cards from Amazon have to be compatible specifically for this recommended mobile app? Can this be clarified?
"I don't see any ridges or false back sides, he's using a low-form antenna (bead of sweat starts to appear). It has to be NTAG-216 to be able to hold contact vcard, Instagram, website and access door data all at once - my God he's gotten the new 888 byte version! (sweat forms again, hand clutches tea-cup tightly)."
Am I missing a step I’ve done the exact same added a contact but it isn’t reading I’ve and iPhone 12 so should would fine but Doesn’t do anything 😢 I can read the card on the app and it says the contact is on
Thanks for this. Can I print designs on this card? Not a sticker. To customize so it physically shows my business name instead of it just being plain white.
After I edit the info on the card, how do I ensure that it comes up on other peoples phones? Because unless I set up the automation myself, I haven’t been able to get any NFC tag to “open” on a phone.
it's easy when writing an url. But what about basic contact information ? I don't have an url or a website. I've used NFC tools as well as the exact card you are using in the video (bought from Amazon). When i write the card with contact info and no url or social media account, it doesn't work
@@DeeSaint905Make your contact page for FREE @ LinkTree, Dotcards, and Linq. Then link to that. Put your contact information there. Good luck! It’s great!!
Check the type of your card. There are various types and formats. I'm using NTAG215 and NTAG216, 13.56Megahertz, 512 and 888 byte capacity with no issues (since they work for door access plus vcard info).
Is there a way to link it to your business? So that all employees have it linked to a profile the company creates (vs the employee going through the App Store to set up). Example: employee gets card. Opens their profile on company website. Hyperlinks social media, email etc. and then the cars automatically goes to this profile.
Yes, of course you can do this! Since they accept any URL, the sky is the limit on what you can do with these. Just setup a page for each employee, then give them a card that points to their individual page. You can even setup automation tools that automatically create the page for new hires, or gives them a login so they can customize their own pages. It's really fascinating if you have the time to tinker.
Thanks so much! I just learned how to use Clips after a friend sent me a tiktok, looked into it and heard the term "nfc" in an Apple tutorial, which lead me to you! now ordering a whole bunch of these for business and social life 😁
It workd fine on my Android, just turn nfc on or off. Wanted to try this with a friends iphone, how do you tuen nfc on? If you need an extra app on iphone, it is not so smart.
If I were to print a sticker (for branding purposes) and place it on one side of the card, would it interfere with reading the card? I wouldn't think so but wanted to know if you've done that yourself.
It'll still work, NFC chips are pretty strong enough to be able to be used through fabric, so a sticker wont be a problem at all. I'm currently doing the same with no issues
Sounds like a cool idea but as far as we know you can't - you watch can read tags but it can't broadcast them. If someone knows differently we'd love to be proven wrong!
You can purchase the tags in a variety of different shapes, colours, and sizes or you can customise your own with stickers and whatnot. Covering the tag with a sticker won't impede its ability to be read
I wrote the data onto my card but it doesn't pop up on the iPhone when I tap it. The NFC Tools app can read the data, that's it. How do I enable the pop up feature ?
Sorry , but when a client is opening my website and all the tools connected to my website with my NFC card, can he download or save all that information in her smartphone as an app so she can use it later any time she needs? Because when i bought a card before for 80€ , i could do it , and that is really cool and important. Otherwise the client will lose all the information several minutes after scanning my nfc card. Thank you
Good question… My think is depending on where your digital destination is going. If your website then can they “save to home screen”? In my researching this for paid monthly nfc platforms, it seems like you can have the recipient have your details saved into their contacts. (I only recently discovered this technology and am learning best use practices).
He mentions Amazon which seems to have many options but I’m reviewing compatibility with the NFC tool mobile app to write the data. Haven’t been able to confirm which cards are compatible as of yet.
You need to encode a separate custom URL holding the vcard VCF file for iPhones to work. The Vcard data will be read by android and the URL by iPhone - this is the only way I believe it works.
Hi, when i use NFC tools i can program the card with a website, but I can use the contact option. When click the contact mode, it behaves good with the app. But when I try to read the tag. The IPhone don’t read anything. Any sugestion?
The iPhone has a limitation of only reading the url (at this time anyway). The best way to handle this is with free web hosting or GitHub with a vCard file
Could someone configure a link to a site that installs malware in these cards?I'm wondering about the safety of this tapping functionality to obtain contact information.
I had this big doubt, that I think you mentioned, but I want to confirm… So this cards comes already with different IDs and that’s how those register the information right? Because I was thinking, if I use an app to configure different cards, how the app is gonna know that I’m not putting the same card?

Can you put your name number and info in so that it will automatically save as a contact under the clients phone?
