  • Changing the Right side wheel bearing after 1600km (1000 miles) on my Veteran Sherman-S Electric Unicycle, that was a lot easier than left side, replaced the broken mudguard at the same time, you can also cut the bearing with a Dremel like on the Left bearing video (link under) !

    Hi. Is it important to follow the sequence of disconnecting and attaching the connectors?

    • @MathieuTechMoto
      @MathieuTechMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You want to make sure to disconnect the battery wires first, after that no much worries, but also make sure that the 3 motor wires stay in the same place, they are different lenght anyway

      Disconnect positive first, then negative, and another battery the same. In reassembly, negative first

    Can you explain why the outer shell of the bearing doesn't need to be as tight? You literally pushed it it, why doesn't it need high friction to not lose grip while riding?

    Merci pour le vidéo bien détaillé. Combien de km tu as fait avec le 1er set de bearing? Selon toi est ce de l'usure normale ou bien de l'eau s'est infiltré dans le bearing?

    • @MathieuTechMoto

      La roue a 1600km, le bruit a commencé aux alentour de 900km, je suspecte que le fabricant a utilisé une graisse de mauvaise qualité ou potentiellement contaminée, le bearing original n'a pas de lousse, il pourrait être nettoyé/regraissé et réutilisé

      @@MathieuTechMoto SKF, FAG bearings all the way, better do not use chinese as they are prety lose. Imo C3 bearings not v.good, better is CN (normal)

    did you get the wheel centered?

    When hammering the new bearing onto the machine, does it have to go down as far as possible?

    • @MathieuTechMoto
      @MathieuTechMoto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, you will hear the sound changing when it bottoms out

    Can you provide a link for the bearing press you used to hammer in the new bearings?

      @@MathieuTechMoto thank you, but I’m am referring to the press and not the puller.

      @MathieuTechMoto  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MunkEUC I did used a hammer to install the bearing and not a press, if you are asking about the socket i had some metal scraps laying around that just happened to fit, you can use your old bearings inner races but you'll need to cut the bearing for that

    Did your bearing fail because of wet weather riding?

    • @MathieuTechMoto
      @MathieuTechMoto  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Possibly yes but there was not a lot of grease in the bearings, before i installed the new ones i added grease off camera

    • @milordas
      @milordas 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would recommend marine shaft grease for that.

    Can you share link / details to the dewalt screw bits that you used?

    • @MathieuTechMoto
      @MathieuTechMoto  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't check each of the sizes because i remember by the eye, screws are pretty standard sized, but i bought them from the dollar store some years ago and they are very solid
      That's the best i could find on Amazon, this should do the trick amzn.to/3Ousy36

      Yeah mine too almost broke, thats with i cutted the bearing with a dremel, i just had success today removing a customer left bearing from a big ass puller tool borrowed from a friend today, i did remove the bearing seal then heat with heat gun and it came off a lot easier @@milordas
