"GTS means guaranteed to sell," nice one Manny :) Normally a light interior wouldn't work for me...but this one looks so nice. I would drive this until the wheels fell off.
Yes, you’re right this is a great road car. I have a 2018 Targa GTS and drove it across country following the Lewis and Clark Trail. We put 10,000 miles on the car and then won our class at Porsche Parade Concourse Elegance.
I’m not a big fan of the 7 speed manual that’s based on the pdk. I like the 6 speed in the Boxster/Cayman but the 991.1 7 speed seemed to feel disconnected. I’ve loved the pdk since it came out. Of course, it depends on what you personally prefer. PDK is very quick. I would’ve preferred to have had it my track car.
@@carrerados I agree with you on 6 sp vs 7 sp. Seems to me Porsche intentionally retains the 6 sp trans for GT3 and special limited editions. But loving a manual, I'll deal with the 7 sp, if no other manual alternatives. I prefer to be engaged technically with a sports car than having the slightly added G-force of the (awesome) PDK.
Interesting. I ordered my GTSwith the same interior and yellow gauges and chrono. Last year I reverted back to black except for the chrono. Manual though
Curious what cars you've rated 9 or higher on fun to drive category. I've owned a lot of cars and my 991.2 4 GTS is at the top, including cars with 200+ more ht & t. 😀
After owning my 991.2 gts RWD for over 2 years..definitely enjoyed tracking and DD. Little tricky getting to know how it will handle on the skid pad with acceleration and wheel steering…18 way seats are comfortable, door rattle can be noticeable on sports and sports plus driving in the city, but thpically just turn up the music more if it gets undesirable. Rear steering is a great, makes it so ’flickable”..BTW seriously center lock wheels are not an issue if you have the tools and quick to change, i think the rim size is different for 5 lug version, but same tire size..all n all, now looking at trading for a c8 stingray…no rational reason, just be ause i am curious
If we recall correctly, center lock was standard on the GTS and five bolt was an option for the 991.2. That’s how it was for the 997.2 Carrera GTS. At least in the US.
@@carrerados Thanks, Manny. I have a 991.2 with PASM and lowered a bit on TechArt springs. The car you drove looks very close to the same ride height. They are great cars for driving.
Thanks for the effort, but struggling to understand the value of the 1-mile review. It really just encourages the reviewer to repeat the same tired marketing-speak.
Sorry you don't find the one-mile-reviews valuable. We do our best to create a good content for our members to enjoy. We usually get the cars for a very limited time so there is not a lot of flexibility. Lots of members do find it valuable, especially the ones who are looking to buy. Lastly, we are looking into making our one-miles reviews more interactive and enjoyable. The feedback is appreciated.
GTS across the product range is the sweet spot and are some gems.
We'd agree!

True to that. Glad you enjoyed the review.
Love these one mile reviews as they really get straight to the point!
Thanks for watching!

That is awesome. Congratulations. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Beautiful car; really like the interior.
This may be the highest rated car ever tested! 🤔
I agree, that interior and the bright dashes combined with the exterior color...SHARP!
It is a sweet ride no doubt. This one is certainly up there.
I own one and this is the best 91I have had.
Thanks for sharing. Enjoy!
Same color combo as my 2017 Carerra S, and I agree about the rear axle steering, so glad I have that. Fine review.
Thanks for watching!
Manny, have you ever driven and rated the naturally aspirated 991.1 GTS with the manual? If so, how would you compare to this 991.2 with PDK?

The manual in the 991.2 is improved and pretty much perfect.

One of the main reasons to get the GTS is the available manual, not available on the 991/992 Turbo
My car. I absolutely love it
Certainly an awesome ride. Glad you enjoyed the review.
The car I’m looking for ironically is the 991.1 GTS. NA and manual. Never come up for sale.
They are indeed rare. Thanks for watching!
Question. I have a UK spec 2018 GTS. My car has centre lock wheels, is that a euro thing, I noticed the car you reviewed has 5 studs? 🤜🤛
If we recall correctly, center lock was standard on the GTS and five bolt was an option for the 991.2. That’s how it was for the 997.2 Carrera GTS. At least in the US.
@PorscheClubofAmerica I've just seen a UK 991.2 GTS (UK car) that someone is selling. This car also has 5 studs. I didn't know it was an option 👍
Price?
My favorite color 😍
One of ours too!
Manny, do you know if the car is lowered on springs or coilovers?
I believe it was a stock PASM suspension. PASM will lower it a little more than a car without it.

Nice spec GTS.
We agree!
