They are funny things those hairpins
If you bolt them top and bottom they end up rock hard because the try to pivot forward under compression
I ended up making pivots top and bottom
Looking great what you've done there excellent work ,pins should work well

@@RalfyCustoms I bought a quilted boiler suit out of lydle ages back actually I bought two they do make a difference if you haven't tried them
Not very flame resistant tho
