Met a "sweet" 70year old woman this summer, i wason my bike,she was in a truck, she was beat down, miles on her, she started to talk about her riding days, 1960s and 70s, coast to coast, the real deal! I regret not getting her phone number for lunch just to hear her talk. Told her id love to get her on my Electra glide even for a short ride, im 50, she said not anymore, with her back surgeries, what a woman!!
Just a note Steve. Although always containing many of the same characters, that book is actually 5 completely different stories that span the course of 200 years. Point is it wont stay the same as it starts. Hope it works for u 😊
This is such an inspiration to me. I've ridden scooters for nearly 60 years, not so much lately, getting my kicker hip replaced, but will be back at it full time again. The inspiration comes from not having any passive investment to draw from and still travel the world. Retired I hear all sorts of stories of the massive amount of money you need to enjoy life. Maybe some people need that security but what freedom is that. True freedom is not having two nickels to rub together but still find a way to enjoy life and thankful for what you do have. I had biker friend, Marjorie Bird, that traveled America with white dogs van pulling her motorcycle trailer. When I read about pioneering motorcycle women, I always think of Marjorie Bird!

My friend borrowed 50 bucks to rebuild the top end on his old beat up Harley in about 1983, just rings and gaskets,it was smoking like a bomb burning oil, the next day he fired it up and rode around the block a few times came back and said I'll get your money back to you soon as I can I'm outta here.I said where ya going?he said California.now we're in South Louisiana 40 miles from New Orleans and I'm like but you don't have any money and he said I'll be alright so I wished him well and he left.about 15 years later he showed up in a brand new truck with a brand new Harley in the back, like a copper and black color, and wife and everything else and gave me 100 bucks but anyway he was starving before he left and had enough and just bailed!I could never do that! the moral of the story is you don't always have to worry about the money, just take a leap of faith and go and you'd be surprised how things work out!he had become a superintendent for a pipefitting company in the refineries out there by the way and is comfortably retired now.
@@scootertrampscotty Build some Hydrogen/HHO hot tubs. They work like the fountain of youth. On your bike, you could fit a hydrogen water bottle. Drink hydrogen water extensively and you'll go backwards 10 to 15 years. I build 4 HHHO/Hydrogen machines and sue them extensively everyday.
Hands down! The Panhead is the sexiest motor HD ever built. You can argue that fact all you want, & you'll still be wrong when you quit talking. That's not an opinion, it's a Mother-F***ing FACT! Now I never said it was The Biggest, Fastest, or Most dependable. I stated & a whole lot of other people have stated it countless times too. The Panhead motor is the Sexiest motor HD ever built....PERIOD!!! This in the "Know" remember what DAC told us a long time ago "God only knows how I love that old Panhead of mine"
Generally Lucas 50wt synthetic or Klotz 20/50 (because its thick). My evos are quiater with thicker oil. But i dont think brand is really all that important.
