The book referred to in this film is the Machinery's Handbook. It was the "bible" for industrial designers, machinists and trades people. It's an amazing resource. I love these old films; the knowledge and techniques our previous generations of craftsmen learned was remarkable and without electronics (sometimes without electricity, i.e. steam power).
really wished they still made trade films don't know why the government stopped. we'd be better served if these were shown instead of putting condoms on cucumbers or drag queen reading hours.
@@marzsit9833 lol, they aren't fractional, they are imperial decimal, the conversion is to simply multiply by 25.4 or from the metric print, divide by 25.4. I've done it for many years.

I was taught this 50 years ago while in highschool. I still do it the same way today.
