This Unreal Engine 5 station tech demo looks real! Created by 3D environment artist Lorenzo Drago, this is based on a real station in Toyama Japan and is running in Unreal Engine 5.

The camera movement adds so significantly to the whole feeling its crazy. You can see it on most UE5 demonstrations now. Yes the gralhics, the lighting the light scattering, shadows, reflections... all mind blowing. But withput the camera movement this wouldnt feel like such a huge step.
I wont believe it till i can play something that looks this good in a video game and my pc not melt through the earths crust

UE5 is amazing
It’s ridiculous to me that it’s taken so long for people to understand that concept lol. The Matrix is pretty close to being reality, even if most people still want to deny it. Think of it this way: What we see released publicly is usually only 1/4th of the true capabilities of large organizations, governments, private corporations with billions of dollars to play with, etc.
My point is; If we UE5 is this realistic as something the public has access to….. what does the US government have in secret? What to private entities like Microsoft or Apple have in secret?
There may already be prototypes for VR experiences that are nearly indistinguishable from reality itself, but we just won’t see about it for another decade or so until it’s fully perfected.

Gta Vanilla graphic = 60 fps++
Gta Naturalvision graphic = 15 - 20 fps (for some reason they prefer this)

I'm starting to notice UE5 look more realistic with a HDRI lighting capture and since this is based off of a real place you get the HDRI photo from the actual train station the lighting is going to be precisely accurate

Sometimes, they actually use real life areas and then cgi it and then put it into a game. Don't know about now tho

You can see that it is a rendering once you notice the repeating tilesets on the floor and the walls.
I know people say this with every new leap in technology, but I’m genuinely curious how we can get any closer to realism than this. It’s just really insane that just about anyone can have access to this technology

To be honest, the daytime looks more like real life, but the at the night it looks like an average horror game like poppy playtime. (I don't hate it tho, it still looks good)
