If you use cardboard egg trays, they will get soggy and dissolve. You can use foam egg trays with holes poked in the bottom for using the bottom watering method. Remember that you will not want to disturb this tiny seedlings for a long time so using a sturdy pot is the best way. If you live near a Dollar Tree, you can get the miniature plastic cups in a pack of 24 for one Dollar.
