Absolutely agree with you. The climate is essential. I live in Northern Italy. In winter there is an average of 95% humidity in the air and in summer it is very humid and hot. It's quite a challenge to get them to survive outdoor in these environmental conditions. But even this winter I haven't lost a single one! Yeahhh!! 🍾😂
Yep I agree I'm located near an ocean, in an area that never gets about 75 degrees fahrenheit. It would be much different for me if it wasn't so cloudy wet and cold all the time.
Hardy succulents do acclimate to your climate. I live in Northern Canada so it's cooler and dry all year round. I move my succulents from outdoors to indoors as the temperature drops and tend to water more often to avoid crispy burnt leaves. The key growing conditions to me are bright light, loose soil and air flow.

Interesting seing so many brazilians on the comment section, we brazilians love succulents, despite being a tropical country we don't see here in the garden centers half of the species you have there in your collection. I'm in love with your collection.
Actually I think the succulent will look better when they living in a highland, with sun in the morning and cold at night, and almost of them will survive more easy than a tropical country. The different of temperature between day and night will helping succulent color up ❤

Omg, the Cante I have is so small. It’s about 4 inches wide. I hope I’m healthy in 10 years time because I want my Cante to become a giant like that. 😍 I find aeoniums grow much bigger when planted directly into the ground and they can tolerate more normal soil which is cheaper than buying a huge expensive pot. 😊

Good morning, so pleased I stopped to watch your video, succulents are all gorgeous, the leaf shapes and thickness, how they collect moisture and grow. The soil composition is fantastic, they need loose and sort of stone mixtures as drainage is vital. I have some of your same plants, it would be interesting if I tried to see how big I can also grow them. Thank you for showing and sharing your beautiful passion. We have very harsh summers with sometimes hail, I have three succulents that I must move for protection as when the hail hits the leaves they bruise and have black marks all over them. Fortunately they are in a much better condition now, as hardy as they are, they still need care and love. Truly a magnificent dry land plant. Kind regards.

In Vietnam Aeonium is a rank as hard-to-live plant, so we must treat it like a queen to keep it safe 😆😆
