    Thanks Sam. You gave me good pointers as to how I can approach the process of changing my perspectives on the so-called “mistakes” I made in the past, in order for me to address my chronic guilt.

    Guilt and feelings of shame are a destroyer, whether those feelings are justified or not. The feelings are the same. It can ruin someone’s self esteem and lead to a deep depression along with anxiety

    Yep! Real event OCD here for a few years now - it's hell but I've made my way through the worst of it thankfully

    Sam, did you ever had to deal with the feeling of having to turn yourself in to the authorities?.. to something you believe you did but still not sure if you did, and now feeling like the worst irresponsible, coward person if I you don't do that?

      That’s how Harm OCD often presents it’s self, breaking down the “I need to” is key here.

      ​@@OCDRecoveryFor me it has something to do with the only way to show true remorse, if I do that. If I dont I am a bad person. But I guess that might be a false belief.
